- We check out Steel Actions booth at IWA 2019 and take a close look into what's new for this straight pull rifle this year. The Steel Action HS and Steel Action HM will come in two new stock options. One synthetic stock and one laminate.

What do you think about the new Steel Action synthetic stock? If you would buy a new rifle today, what stock would you prefer? (Walnut, synthetic or laminate)
Thats the 1st time I've heard about Steel Action rifles , all need check to see if there's any one in Scotland or the UK how could get me on in 308

I really like the New Stock! Would like it to have adjustable cheek Piece. The laminat Stock Looks a Bit too Sporty. The Walnut is elegant But for my goal to have this Rifle really as working Rifle for driven Hunts and long Stalking i would prefer the New sinthetic one. Maybe in a nice Brown Wood color and with the downpart of the backstock shaped similar like in the laminat Stock or like the new Blaser R8 stock

Sorry I can't give you any straight 100% answer, but as far as I know they have no export outside Europe, through any dealer network. However, I have heard about hunters that have imported Steel Action themselves to north America.

Bössan ser grym ut! Härligt brant pistolgrepp m.m. Men hur jag än letar så hittar jag ingen viktspec på den tyska sidan på bössan med nya stocken. Har du någon koll Tobias?
Nej, Jag har inga data. Ring Holmgrens Vapen 044-80001, de är de som importerar dem till Sverige. eller maila dem på info@holmgrensvapen.se Så kan säkert de svara på en massa detaljer... ;-)

Den syntetiska stocken viger 1100 gram. Flex varianten viger 150 gram. 1250 gram viger en syntetisk flex stock. Redneckhollidaysinc gjorde en video där han jämförde den syntetiska varianten mot träd varianten.

I do not know if they will do it, they did not mentioned it. If I would guess it is not impossible that they in the future will do at least an adjustable check piece.

Hi Tobias! Found the Stock i like. The Company Odenwald Schäfterei do some Stocks for the Steel Action (and other Rifles like Sauer 101, Blaser R8, Tikka T3,...)
I would choose there the CGS-Hunter-AJ stock in laminated fiberglas (Nice Wood óptic) But 250g lighter than a normal Wood Stock and resisting to all Kind of weather. Maybe You can Look it up and give me your Feedback.

Confy-Grip-Schaft Glasfaser. There is one in Wood Optik.

Hi Tobias. I Wrote with the stock Producer. They just Sell the last fiberglas Stocks on egun And Then just produce the wooden Stocks. All the People demanded the Wood Stocks. Just to inform You
Handeled a steel action this summer, for a hunting rifle it felt very nice even tho I hate hunting style stocks. My complaint is that the pic rail has been made the dumbest way possible in eliminating the possibility of using 1 piece mounts like spuhr.
Yes, but then you can use the divided Spuhr mounts. I do... ;-) work very good at the Steel Action.

Absolut,
När man för fram säkringen så efter ett parmillimeter börjar "motståndet" för att spänna upp slagstiftet. I det läget kan man plundra bössan utan att slagstiftet är spänt. Fungerar på likande vis som Blasers mekanism.

What’s the price?
In Sweden the price is 27900 SEK, app. EUR 2600. That's for the Steel Action HS with wood stock grade 1.
Retail price in Germany is 2249€.
