- An updated version of the original video that show the HomePod repair for a HomePod that does not turn on when plugged in. The shorted diode that causes this failure is replaced, and while the amplified board is out, the 4 ceramic capacitors that filter DC are also replaced as a standard courtesy service. This HomePod repair service addresses the issue where the HomePods is unresponsive when plugged in to a power outlet. No spinning light, nothing. This is often caused by the malfunction caused by a shorted-out Schottky diode, which is replaced. While the amplifier board is out, we also replace the 4 ceramic DC filters that eventually may cause death-farts as standard, a courtesy for our customers.
