  • @Onebel11985
    @Onebel11985 3 месяца назад

    Why is Richard has so much doubt on US? For now it's the best advantage for the Philippines the US Presence & extending military assistance bcoz admittedly we are not capable in defending our country. Our past administrations did not modernized the AFP but even sided with China to easily grab our territorial sovereignty. Well, maybe Obama & Trump did not have positive impact for our advantage but u see a change in administrations also have effect in changing policies. For now, let's be happy that US assures us their support, while we build our own military capability.

  • @socorromacahiya9320

    Obama and Trump were not with their agenda to support Phils. During their regime especially Trump then…in that note since at this time US says it is an “Iron-Clad relationship we need to clarify and make a clear amend the treaty contract just like what japan did with their contract with the US…

    Richard i know, by the way you talk that you are indeed a very intelligent guy, but sometimes it gets into you head, too bigger guy to call the PBBM president. You want the Yello/pinklawan to do well this coming election but influential people like you would keep the opposition in the bottom of the list. Carpio and the like of Trillianes could do well in the election.

    Liar trying to fool naive Filipinos here. Philippines people must wake up to the fact that eez is not Philippines territory. It's international waters. While SCS belongs to china and Taiwan territory since 1947 when unclos and Philippines independence does not even exsisted.
    China do not need unclos law to own their scs.

      You have so many contradicting statements, Wumao. You say the Philippine EEZ is international waters, but China also claims most of it as part of their territory, so how is that international waters? The Philippines officially recognizes its year of independence as 1898 from Spain, and it would have been so if not for the American and Japanese occupations that followed. The Philippines did eventually gain full independence in 1946, which is still a year before the 1947 9-10 dash line claim of the PRC and ROC. China is also a signatory of UNCLOS; therefore, China is bound to its rules.

    Another insightful discussion with Justice Carpio. Just an observation though, the interviewer bombards the discussion with so many "insights" when you can go straight to the point/question and let the expert indulge everyone with his answer. It is evident that you know the topic and did your research but over-explaining the question isn't needed. Carpio can very well explain the topic thoroughly. Just my two cents.

      👍 indeed !!!! Philippines badly needs to Acquire advance sophisticated weapon systems and equipments to counter/deter anyone like China claiming 9, 10 or 11 dash line of the SCS historically according to them without basis …. as UNCLOS DECLARED !!! The reality is : China wants it badly because of the discovery of gas and natural oil plus it is full of fisheries
      They know it is never a part of their territorial territory.. they are so far from the Philippines shores … they are across the SCS !!!

    Both of you is so ibvious against The former president Duterte not to defend him against his foreign policy which I myself do not agree also…but let put the proper context, why Digong turned against the West…it was the doing of Obama….not only his sentiment with us even was evident with the times of Penoy but also his or Obama’s criticizing Duterte’s drug war…which up to now USA has big problem with drugs. So that time you would see Duterte starting to stay away with the west especially with USA.
