I've got an old pepsi vendng machine (can type) I believe from the 70's. The coin mech is the 6200C model. When I deposit coins, they all drop directly to the change slot. What can I do to fix this? Also, this may be a silly question, but does it matter if there are no cans to vend. yet?

hmm, good question, I would try and tune it using some sort of foreign coin for the nickel and dime if you can find something. You are then tuning it so it takes something odd and then the nickel and dime won't work. I have never needed to try it but it may work. Let us know how it works out.
Hello Doug, I just recently got two of those Dixie Narco soda vending machines, they were in an abandoned container from US and I don't know anything about them and I'm not really sure if there's a problem with their coin changers cause they don't accept the coins, is there anyway I can contact you ? Also I would like to know if there is anyway u can change the currency from Dollars to the currency from my country, A big hug from Costa Rica!

Now it accepts coins and some columns vend but in two of them the motor just moves like an inch and stops without vending, Also I can't find the user manual on internet just the manual for similar models but it's not the same, Do you know where I can find it or do you have one by any chance ? They are 501R and 501T models
@@MarcoCastilloDxD I believe I have found those manuals before by just doing a Google search. Try moving the cols with no cans in them, it sounds like it is mis loaded or in a jam.
Is it possible to teach other coins in a similar way (e.g. Hungarian Forint)? Coins: HUF 5-10-20-50-100-200 Tubes: 10 - 5 - 20 type: MARS MS 1000 EXECUTIV
Hey Doug, My machine will take 1 dollar bills and dispense change but it will not take any change alone. One of the 3 magnets on the lower coin accepter is cracked. Do you think its worth trying to tune the device or does this component need to be replaced?

Doug my machine has a TRC-6800. It was working good for about 3 months and now it randomly discharges the dimes that are in stored in the tube. Even when the reserve tube is empty you can hear it randomly trying to discharge them. Would retune help with this. Or is it another issue that could be fixed a different way?
Follow up to my previous comment. I took the CAC apart and I think the plunger mechanism is bad for the dime. The dime nickel and quarter plunger are wired to one electrical plug. Can a guy replace the dime plunger only do you have an outlet for these parts?

I have a Mars mechanism that won't accept quarters but in the flip down I only have 4 switches opposed to the 8 you had in this video.. do you have any videos with the 4 switch mech?? And also must you absolutely have to have those $ 2 coins to put it into learning mode? I appreciate it thanks
dollar tubes would go straight to the cash box if a coin mech is used without a dollar tube. The 3 tub mechs are not to be used where you take 10s and 20s. They will work but you will run out of change with the 1st big bill taken.

In my coin mechanism nickels and dimes when into the quarter slot and the coins are even standing up causing the money to get stuck, by not being able to fall into the slot. be sure to add 15 coins to each tube and there must be 6 or 8 cans in 1 slot.

I don't believe so, the dollar coins are the last step that puts it into the teaching mode.

The coin mech is known as a "dummy" it does not have a brain, all of the pricing is done at the machine itself.

What are the option switches for and what do they need to be set on?
Take a look at the sticker inside after you fold down the top portion ( flite deck )
It shows every other “switch” is set to on, didn’t know if that was correct or what all the abbreviations mean etc.
