this series is just amazing and inspiring! The amount of research to get a house like this setup is probably horrific :D Very keen to see the rest of the village coming to life. Also for the "ages" - how about you set yourself a list of "must's" and "must nots" you have to follow while completing a set of tasks? (e.g. No redstone until the "modern" age or "finish the viking village" as challenge for the "dirt" age) :)
There's something about this series. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's his oddly calming voice. Maybe it's the beautiful shaders mixed with the detailed textures, and the awesome terrain. Something about these videos... makes me so calm and relaxed... makes me feel at peace.
I know this is kinda old now, but vikings used to carry boats over patches of land aswell. Also most people where farmers/fishermen at the time so they didn't all go around pillaging
I really hope this guy is seen more by people because there is so much creativity made in his videos. Making me very inspired by him. Keep up the good work :)
the style, beauty, the cinematography, the voice. How does this man not have more subs? i just stumbled across this channel in my reccomended feed and so glad i clicked the video. youve earned a sub from me.
yo wow. i discovered your channel last night and honestly you have become my fav minecraft youtuber! it so hard for me to find minecraft videos that i enjoy but youre like the whole deal seriously, you have this amazing personality and youre hilarious, and the edit of the videos are amazing, especially the silent moment where you show the scenery with the ambient sound to change to one scene to another! its like im watching a movie... good work! now im going to continue to binge watch your videos
Very behind the times here but I am a viking reenactor and used to work in a viking museum, and your house was super accurate and impressive! Great research :)
Exactly. Plus here in my region called Normandy, where viking settled a long time ago. Old and traditional Houses in the countryside are covered by wheat straw/reed straw. And onto the top, where each side of the roof connect, there are dirt and clay to fill this space. They planted grass and flower there as well. Allowing the rain to be absorbed and used by the plants so it not leak inside. Or it just slide along the wheat roof as well. So dirt roof are made like this on purpose. And that's why Tolkien did the Hobbits live inside the hills.
I love this series. Im glad you go with the flow and that you're super nice instead of trying to make weird offensive jokes that many people do for some reason.... I'm having a rough day so these episodes are really nice to watch rn
@@lowresbones Cheers! VictoryMod isnt released yet but will be soon. It will be survival compatible off the bat but far from optimised for it. A little like conquest but I have plans for the survival aspect in the future
Since you're playing on 1.16.5, I think you could try the mod Distant Horizons. It basically utilizes LODs to let you see much much farther than in vanilla Minecraft, talking about render distances of 64 to even 1000 without losing much fps (no kidding). Of course you could play with "only" 32 render distance and then it just makes the game run much better since the far away chunks are not loaded the same way as in vanilla. Its still in development and I have no idea if it will work with your mods, but might aswell give it a try :D It is seriously a mindblowing mod and I've tried it with Terraforged before and can say its amazing. You should first research it a little bit and know that in its current state, you have to tweak its settings in your minecraft instances configs (it has its own config file) and it might take a while when trying it in your world to actually see far away since it takes some time to load the LODs. If I recall correctly, removing it or adding it doesnt mess with your worlds and hence it should be safe to use it and not be scared of losing your world, though I cant say for sure. But still, it is an absolutely wonderful mod and just changes the way you see Minecraft completely! I really think you'd like it, and if it works with conquest reforged, I can only imagine how cool it would be. (Does not work with shaders completely, or well, doesnt look good with them currently) The developers are also porting it for newer versions, so a 1.18 version is coming one day and with every single update, the mod is becoming better and more stable. This became a really long comment but I just wanted to let you know of Distant Horizons since it would look amazing in this let's play :D
Thanks for the comment, I think I did test it when I was testing all the mods and it didn’t seem compatible with Conquest but there may be a newer version since then I could try
@@lowresbones There has not been new big updates on the mod in quite some time now, since the devs are working on a very large update currently, so might very well be that it still doesn't work with Conquest. Maybe the next update changes things around, but we'll see when it releases :D I think it kind of changes the whole mod entirely, kind of like a big rework.
And I really cannot undermine the impact of changing settings! There are many settings in the mods config that I don't even exactly know what they do, so there might be something crucial that should be changed. Don't really know though! xD
This series seems to become really nice im just wondering how tf you get such good performance on Conquest Reforged lmao. I get 30 fps even at render distance 18

its very comfy, isnt it?
Looking amazing! The atmosphere in this valley feels great. I can't wait to see how the village turns out.
Thanks mate 🙏
The cinematic shots are gorgeous! really enjoying this series so far :D
9:00 Well, you did find the best way to go down.
I know this is kinda old now, but vikings used to carry boats over patches of land aswell. Also most people where farmers/fishermen at the time so they didn't all go around pillaging
Another fun fact. They weren't called Vikings. Viking was a verb, that meant to pillage, people that did it were call Vikingers
I got a lot of Skyrim vibes watching this episode.
Me too!
I am absolutely in love with all the custom blocks and their textures. The house looks so good.

nice episode. i really love the build and those cinematics. Conquest is just insane. Already excited for next episode 🙂❤
Im obsessed with your cinematic transitions ^_^
I'm pretty sure grass/dirt roofs are used to keep the houses warm - more insulating than wood or even thatch
Exactly.

Those cutscenes are sweeeeet
Thanks broski!
Yoooooooo keep up the good work
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FAR FUTURE OF AGES! KEEP THIS UP MAN, I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!
I love this series. Looking forward to seeing more of it. Can't wait!
Love the series! You should make a modpack of what you have installed.
Yes! That would be awesome! Or at least list them, since he has mentioned mods not in the description.
Will update the description with the mods I use in the next video. Thanks 🙏
@@lowresbones Thanks! Already looking forward to the next video!!
This needs more views
Whoa this is great man! Everyone is starting to do Viking villages now! :D
It’s the way of the future
Just found this series. This seems like so much fun! I only wish my pc could handle minecraft again, now. 😭 thanks for the upload!
keep doing this !
another great video! always great to see more conquest. really enjoying this series!
Thanks mate! Still need to check out the victory mod by the way. Been learning a bunch from your videos too

On your starter house grass roof you should use the conquest cut grass blocks and try level it out gradually and naturally
I’ll look into it!

Haha sorry mate, I’d need to be doing this full time for that. One day maybe?

Aurora Borealis? At this time of day, at this time of year, localized entirely within your Minecraft world?
i know this is old at this point, but what is that fence block thats used for the animal pen on the side of the house?
Wicker fence :)
Man even i frantically moved my mouse when he dropped into the ravine even tho im in a video😂
could someone tell me the sound resource pack he uses, i really like it and want to use it. And also your videos are amazing keep up the great work =)
What do you mean by requires dedicated rp and extended universe rp?
Those mods require a resource pack that adds textures to match the conquest resource pack
the first minute is Our Planet in minecraft
Nice video
Thanks Jacob 🙏
This series seems to become really nice im just wondering how tf you get such good performance on Conquest Reforged lmao. I get 30 fps even at render distance 18
Idk lol, with shaders it tanks to like 25fps which is why the cinematic shots are a bit choppy. Regular playing is around 50-60 at 28 chunks
@@lowresbones Oh well then, either way Ive been digging trough your videos the last like 2 days and Iv really been enjoying them, good job

Can you please make a mod pack for this? I’ve been trying for hours but I can’t find all the mods to make a pack myself
The mods should be in the description of the video
@@lowresbones that what I mean I’ve been trying to get all the mods for it but I can’t get all the right versions and everything
Also have no clue if it’s fabric or forge
I don’t know if it’s possible to make a mod pack for this but I’ll look into it for ya! It’s all forge on version 1.15.2
@@lowresbones I would greatly appreciate it! I really wanna play alongside your series!
it called the northern lights
Nah Bruh you should make a full on fantasy series on here you could pull it off
can you put the modpack up for us to download??
I’ll see if I can get it make a 1.15 version on CurseForge because a bunch of the mods I use in this are still in alpha/unreleased.
