    Although i was so eager to watch this video, I exercised patience to watch the 2-minute long ad.
    Nwanne, Thank you so much for the fantastic job you are doing to change the narrative about Igboland. I have been sharing your videos at the US University where I am now where everyone was encouraged to share a video of their hometown. The reaction has been like Wow! Truly, the impression about Igboland and Africa in general is changing.
    Thank you so much! Biko jisie ike!
    Also, combining the aerial shots with shots taken on the ground level is a fantastic blend of visuals. That is showing how it looks on the ground, and from the sky. Thank you so much for sharing and the great work you are doing on behalf of all of us!.

      Also it's cold abroad. When there flowers blooms it's nice no doubt but have you seen how ugly it looks in winter or snowy times. Our wheather is hot. That alone will kill flowers and trees. Also I once heard someone abroad say Africans are too thin they must lack good nutrition. I paused him to educate him that africans enjoy organic food straight from the farm which is why they maintain a reasonable weight. Plus the sun alone will make you sweat. It's foolishness to assume that because someone living in Atlantic Canada where they get 8 months of cold and 3 months of mild sunlight is plumpy and looking nice and plump then they are healthier. That's a cluster of excess fat, toxins and other cancerous foods they process over there. I told him keep quite my brother, go to the gym and run for your life. You are not healthier than Africans living in Africa.

    Awka is doing well thanks to the individual efforts of the Igbo people. It seems that Awka is more modern and organised than Onitsha or am I not seeing properly?
    One thing I've noticed from watching several videos of cities across Anambra is that our state Governments are not doing enough. I mean the major cities in Anambra are littered with tiny, unkempt and dusty roads. I often wonder how these cities would have looked like without the industrious nature of our people

    Good footage and editing. I will take a contrarian opinion to most here. Buildings are neither a sign of beauty or development. The natural environment was always beautiful. If people had built around without cutting down every tree, it would have remained so. Infrastructure, jobs, access to good education, Healthcare and improved life-expectancy are signs of development. All those are more important and can happen without tall buildings. Having said that, it's clear to me from your drone shots that parts of these cities are better planned, less chaotic and cleaner than most in Nigeria. Let's deviate from "shinny toys" though and force focus on jobs, education, Healthcare and infrastructure.

    • @Goforit2nite
      @Goforit2nite 3 года назад +2

      @@kingmemanagement4283 As an investor you would do a CBA using DCF analysis and pick the one with the best return on capital. Governments also have to do cost benefit analysis. Since they will NEVER be able to do as much as the private sector their role is to create an enabling environment. Since this place was starting from scratch what they had was an opportunity to setup world-class infrastructure and building code standards (No open gutters, underground utilities, electricity and drinking water etc) That would have been needed development, that no other city (except Abuja in some areas) has which would both improved health outcomes and attracted people and subsequently investors. Nigerians need focus on important things. Norway does not have fancy buildings like New York, but their people are happier, live longer and no one is hungry -essentially they have better quality of life than New Yorkers.. The point, Akwa will never be Lagos so stop chasing "biggest, tallest etc." Instead beat them at what don't have.

    Awka is not developed as expected, Abakaliki still dwaf the capital to the ground. Look at dust, sand dunes and refuse dump on the tiny roads. Awka is only from Government house to Aroma junction federal road, Obiano should try cleaning up the roads, build inner roads and lots it up like Umahi did to almost all the roads in the city of Abakaliki. To me Awka is still underdeveloping below it capacity. Onitsha is another big name with dead or no infrastructure go show for it while Obiano is drinking away time on Alcohol, doing cosmetic painting and patching of failed substandard projects littered in Awka. I pity my people. Vote wisely Omambala.
