Insane that you can be convicted for terrorism if you refuse to give the PIN-code of your phone when you enter UK. Good reason to use GrapheneOS and Wasted which allows the phone to be wiped under certain scenarios
The UK is horrible. I went to Scotland for a week, and even in the northern countryside, I felt like I was constantly under surveillance. In the main cities there are cameras everywhere. They aren't even sneaky about it.
Do you have any idea how someone could set the profile to be wiped after a certain number of incorrect PIN code attempts or if a specific PIN is entered? I've researched this and found an app called Duress, but it didn't work for me. I'm in desperate need of a feature like this, and it would be a massive help.
Don't use Duress, it actually can be bypassed and exploited from what I read just use Sentry I'll link it but it might get removed due to YT being insane lol github.com/x13a/Sentry
I have tried to set the main “Owner” profile with the base GOS install so it always reboots to this, and subsequent profiles as “daily driver” profiles - but I don’t believe this is possible. I think the main profile needs to house all the apps and subsequent profiles can share these apps based on what is installed on the main profile. I’d love to be wrong about this.
All profiles are separate from each other if you wanted to install google on your second profile u can, no need to install everything on your main(owner) profile to then pass it over to your second profile. I got a profile where I installed google software on it and there is no google software on my main(owner) profile. Hope this did help, I am 7 months a bit late, but I just started using GrapheneOS when Pixel 9 came out.😁 I am a bit unsure on your question on GOS tough.😅
Many countries have laws that require visitors and their citizens to supply passwords to laptops and phones upon request etc. If you refuse to comply your devices can be confiscated or destroyed and you’d be either denied entry or imprisoned….. In relation to graphene allowing multiple profiles: Is it possible to see if your graphene device has multiple profiles? Is it possible to access these profiles once inside the ecosystem? My train of thought would be that GrapheneOS is very secure and, why not have a dummy profile (honey pot) that looks normal. If you were pressured to supplying access to the device, the investigator would only see what you wanted them to see, The other secure profiles could be the ones where you store all your private information. Saves stuffing around with other encrypted devices
GOS is "unaware" of the user profiles and even if it was, the profiles are encrypted with their own keys, this thus increases the security and sandboxing. It would be my IMO best to put your most important information on a profile. Or best yet, backup everything, Delete and then redownload when you pass all the check points
Nice
Thanks! 😁

@@stigcc you can just set-up Duress pin now in the phone on the newest update , no third-party app needed and works across all profiles
@@stigcc id link to it but Google hates links sometime
@@notafbihoneypot8487 ok that is cool! Is it possible to delete a profile when a pin code is entered? But otherwise unlock the phone as normal.
@stigcc yes actually

ser my comment. Wasted is the app you want
@@stigcc thanks but Grapheneos included the duress feature in the os now so I don't think third party apps are necessary anymore

No country has that except North Korea maybe.
