Here in Australia my accessories did not include the flexible earhook shown at 1:20 in the video. I have had to order it separately from the Webshop, a bit disappointing. I have been using the Sonnet 3 for 1 month now and it is pretty awesome, especially direct the streaming.

I wear my current Sonnet2 cochlear with water wear covers so I can kayak in white water and on the ocean without having to worry about getting the device wet when I might need to do a kayak roll. Is Sonnet3 completely water proof for this purpose or will water wear covers still be required?
Hi there, thank you for your question. The SONNET 3 processor is waterproof according to IP68 standard. To ensure 100% waterproofness, WaterWear should always be used when swimming and/or other water sports and showering as user errors (e.g. battery cover not closed properly) and wear and tear can reduce the waterproofness of the housing. Nice upgrade with some cool additional features. Are Sonnet 2 accessories compatible with Sonnet 3? And does being “waterproof” mean it can be used while swimming in pool/at beach?

Our SONNET 3 has a IP68 rating which means it's waterproof for immersion in water up to a maximum depth of 1 meter for 60 minutes. WaterWear is recommended for swimming and showering. It would have been more useful if you had compared the size of Sonnet 3 with Sonnet 2 (showing them side-by-side). Also, you should have showed the charger and how it works. Does it work similar to the clumsy recharger that comes with Sonnet 2? How big or small is it, when using max rechargeable batteries? As a single sided deaf person with a Med-El Implant in the bad ear, what is the advantage of direct streaming that is being touted as a great advancement in this version (Sonnet 3)? Why would I like to stream music to the bad ear with an Implant (which is not even perfect in speech processing, leave alone not being designed for music processing). I would rather stream music (if I want to) from my phone to the good ear using bluetooth ear buds.

I have sonnet 2 on my right ear and I'm deaf on my left completely. Direct streaming will be better because I won't need little white remote called audio link which is pain to hold near me. It has a lot of interference if I place it in my pocket or I go away more than 1m away, even if it is behind my head and I put my arm on it I got a lot of interference and I can't listen properly my music. So I see direct streaming like a better option than audio link which you also need to recharge. Here in Croatia we did not get rechargable version of batteries and we get new sonnet every 7 years so I don't expect much but direct streaming is relief for me.
Ich bin verärgert, dass hier englisch gesprochen wird,warum sind diese wichtigen Erklärungen nicht in deutsch? DIE Untertitel nützen nichts, da ich ja Etwas sehen will. Das macht alles noch schwieriger. Dass die Batterin, bzw. Akku nicht ins Trockegerät dürfen, ist sehr schlecht und Erschwert den Umgang noch mehr. 😮

When streaming on sonnet 3. Will it block background noise 100% like audio link for my sonnet 2 EAS? Or just 50% noise reduction?
