One thing I like about the 1st game compared to the 2nd one is how consistent the size of the fishes are. Example when you are Leon the Lion fish, the Angler fish is the 3rd tier predator/prey, when you play as Eddie the Angler, your first prey is the lion fish. Meanwhile the fish sizes are all over the place in the 2nd game
I agree, in the second game every fish just seems to be in the same tier. All fishes from Boris to Harry have the same set of 1st-tier fishes to eat and the second to third fish just randomize. Also the first three fishes you play only appear when you play them; they never appear as eatable fish.
@@inzanity490a theory I have is that the inconsistency with the fish size is just a placeholder while developing the game (hence why you see the sturgeon, wrasse, and pompanos appearing consistently in everywhere stage) while the devs figure out which fish to play after Boris. Then they probably had to run deadlines so they just went full randomize mode. The obvious exception is Goliath since he is technically the final "stage"
fun fact: according to that game lore. king shark was later eaten by the alien (which was the feeding frenzy 2 boss). before he died, he warns everyone about the mysterious fish on the reefs
This game is so peaceful. I bought the second one on Steam and love it. Although I wish the original one was on Steam I played it so much on Xbox 360. I love these classic early 2000's arcadey games!
I remember this game as a kid and i always used to play it with my sister and brother and we would challenge each other with it, The memories of playing this still brings a smile to my face and i really miss playing it, I would remember the huge grin in my face when i played with the orca and get revenge every time a shark eats me, I miss those times
