I was a bit skeptical, and I don't have perfect rolls, but decided to try it anyway due to your detailed approach. I was trying to masterwork a new winterglass and hit conjuration mastery twice and cooldown once, but it ended up triple hitting conjuration mastery. It’s not as good for my pure lightning spear build but should be awesome for the orb focused one. I was going to reset it, but my other amulet is 2x cooldown 1x mastery and good enough for my other build so I think I’ll just make a second sorc. I have so much spare gear with different masterwork hits that I can just run two builds and switch depending on what I want to play. I even have rings with identical mainstats just one has unstable cooldown temper and one has lightning spear cooldown. Both even have 22% attack speed masterworks since I was testing a lot of builds including yours! Even for the shockuna variant I ended up using 1h and focus just for more cdr and crit rate since I don’t have ga shako or tal ring so i have multiple weapons and focuses with either lightning spear or orb tempers to play around with and test out.
regarding 8:10 ice armor bug Ice armor bug + storm swell isn't a double counting a barrier to give u 2x instances of storm swell. its actually giving: 1) 1.3x vs everything while ice armor is active (does NOT work with any other barrier) 2) 1.3x vs frozen enemies while ice armor is active (does NOT work with any other barrier) 3) 1.3x vs vuln enemies while a barrier is up (any barrier) (normal storm swell functionality) so its a triple dip technically if you meet those conditions listed above. regarding 20:25 conjuration caps: i assume you meant "enchantment" not "enhancement", and also 1) hydra enchantment cap is 2, not 1(without serpentine aspect) 2) winterglass cap shares the same pool as enchantment cap (you cannot have 9 ice blades, only 6 max) likewise, you cannot have 6 hydras up, only 4. you can verify this easily by slotting a hydra enchantment and spamming forb. you will only ever get 2 hydras because they both share the same pool. same with ice blades, if you remove ice blades from your bar and only have it as an enchantment and spam forb, you will never see more than 3 ice blades at a time. hard casting has its own cap/pool so max you can get from ice blades is 3 (hard cast) + 3 (winterglass or enchantment) = 6 and similarly 2+2 =4 for hydra.
I can't remember the attack speed chart but there's 2 separate pools of attack speed and you can only get 100% from each pool Possibly the Tal Rashas interaction you experienced
@JooseyJay Correct there are two pools. 1. Gear + paragon + elixir 2. Skills + Aspects With the tal rasha variant, I had 58.1% attack speed. This plus the elixir puts me at 73.1% attack speed which has not reached the cap of 100% in bucket one. When I cick unstable currents, this puts me at 98.1% attack speed which satisfies the 94.4% breakpoint for 22 frames. Great thinking! But unfortunately, this is not the reason. I have talked to multiple top tier sorcs and they are experiencing same results and literally no one has an explanation. It is absolutely wild.
Ive tested out every variant thus far and have multiple rings, weapons and focuses with different masterworks so I might as well just make a second sorc and have both versions haha! Wish we just had loadouts saved. Some days I want to spam orb harder for satisfaction and other times I just wanna chill and focus more on spear.

Okay the section on conjuration cooldown optimization on winter glass was a masterpiece. That is exactly what I have been trying to figure out and it’s expensive to keep masterworking them. I have one amulet with 0.6 conjuration cd and 6 conjuration mastery and 80% lucky hit proc and the other one is 0.4 conjuration cooldown and 8 mastery with an 86 lucky hit proc. How do you have so many godly 2GA winterglass lol
@youngwang5546 lol it's just a planner photo. But I do have that many winterglasses with the cooldown reduction rolls. Conjuration mastery ranks won't do anything to the conjuration cast rate.
Totally did not know that we could have 9 total ice blades, I always thought it was 6, 3 from ourselves and 3 from enchant. I do notice things run more smoothly when I’m manual casting ice blades. But man I don’t think I can handle those desecrator fiends without flame shield 😅
Thx for your build. It's great! Why aren't you using Frostburn in your build? It gives an attack speed and a huge amount of additional cold damage (almost 500% should you get a GA and 3x25% temperings on it) and it has a chance to freeze enemies, which increases the dmg output again and adds another source of crowd control.
@romantsekhmeyster4421 The cold damage and the lucky hit effect compare to near nill what the legendary gloves do. If there was an argument for any unique gloves it would be fist of fate. The bonus lucky hit chance would double the rate that the conjurations produce frozen orbs as well as it giving the attack speed and critical hit chance needed for the build to function. The intrinsic effect is a rather decent 40% multiplier as well. They are definitely a great alternative or maybe even better then thr gloves labeled here. I know goldfarmingguide is rocking them and loves them. I might try em out here soon as well.
Ok so this may be a dumb question but I'm literally a level 7 right now and I want to know how to start this build and where to spend the skill points to eventually get here? I'm grinding after work but I don't know exactly where to put skill points to be effective. HELP! lol
Followed this build. can easily clear Horde T8 and just cleared an 125 pit pretty easily and I dont have perfect gear (pretty good tho) thanks for this! Question I saw you made a new version with Rainment, could you maybe make a followup vid about it?
A lot of these builds use Tibault's Will for the pants, but I've personally found that Temerity works very well. Anybody have any comments on this? What am I losing by using Temerity instead?
@VertPlaysGames yes, but tibaults states, "while unstoppable *and for 5 seconds after* you gain damage". Teleport with all the cdr and overflowing energy has a 4 second cooldown but tibaults works for 5 seconds 😎
Hey great build guide. I had to put it on 0.75 RUclips attack speed :D..Englihard man! I have a question if I may: In the Tank build, isn't better to put on Paragon - Enchanter instead of Unleash? I am asking because without Tal rasha Frigid Fate has aprox 50x bonus instead of 60x, and Unleash gives You 8x. Enchanter puts back Frigid Fate at 60x. You loose 2x there AND @ 70% + at Non Physical damage (from Enchanter) if You use Unleash. I don't seem to have mana issues to need Unleash mana regen. Unless I am missing something. Thanks!
So the 10% bonus to frigid fate isn't a flat 10%, it's a 10% bonus to the 50% you already have which creates a rule of diminishing returns. The current frigid fate is a 1.5 multiplier, and the new with your suggestion is 1.6. So the equation is (New - Old)/Old. or here (1.6-.1.5)/1.5 which = +6.66%[x]. The question then become does 70% additive non-physical give us +1.5%[x] more damage? Currently my gear has 2350% additive damage. Divide this by 100 and + 1 you get a 24.5 multiplier coefficient, if you add 80% it becomes 2430% or a 25.3 multiplier. So same math, (25.3-24.5)/24.5 = +3.2%[x]. So we take those two multipliers and multiply them across: 1.066 x 1.032 = 1.1001 -> +10.01%[x] more damage. Well done sir, you are correct. At absolutely min/maxing, enchanter does in fact out do unleash. Nicely done! I'll make the adjustments.

If I keep accelerating aspect instead of shredding blades, I have: 75,3 base + 15 elixir + 25 unstable + 25 accelerating aspect =140,2 attack speed ==> 18 frames if I read that right. If I use shredding ofc I have 25 attack speed less = 75,3 base + 15 elixir + 25 unstable = 115.3 attack spd ==> 20 frames. Is this better or keep shredding in Your opinion? Alsoaccelerating is perma uptime, ultimate has 4 seconds gap until I can reactivate it. Thanks if You have time to respond.

Hi. Just wanted to ask if the nerf to sorc impacted this build greatly? I started with fireball sorc which is good but not fantastic, then levelled up an Andariel Rogue which is a beast. I want to go back to the sorc and change to this build but was concerned about all the talk about the nerf ruining it. Your thoughts? Thanks BTW. ☺️
@ginaferraro1967 It did nothing to this build because we couldn't get enough spears out to cause the bug that was happening with 2h spear version. Essentially once you get +50 spears out, the server tick rate can't keep up with the ticks worth of damage they deal over a period of time, causing them to double dip and deal damage twice. This was causing the 2h version to deal about +60%[x] more damage then intended. In this build, our max conjuration count is 35, with which before the nerfs the servers could keep up with. Therefore there is literally zero change to the damage of this build since the "nerfs".
Looks great and loved it in S4 ! Thanks for the update. Last season FO was a bit lackluster in Pits. I was around 135 PIT on LS pre-nerf. What you predict your build if maxed out on pits?

@VertPlaysGames They are pretty much the exact thing. He and I collaborated a lot of the work here. I grabbed info from him, he grabbed info from me. They are neck and neck similar with VERY little nuance differences.
Not a bad option, just make sure you can still hit the resistance breakpoints and understand that 40% barrier generation does not effect the "amount" of the maximum barrier, only the rate at which you gain barrier. Unfortunately for sorc, the protection passive cannot stack and maxes out at 30% of your life. But something like ice armor does not have a max and can stack if you can cast it again within active timer (But the previous barrier from first cast will fall off after duration of barrier has expired). Definitely not a bad option, just be informed on the mechanics.
Trying out your max damage variant but die way too much in T8 compared to never before with lurkin's tanky build. Is that expected? How much does triple MW crit DR on Tyraels matter over just double crit here?
@KyberSoze It's not that much of a difference, but that is expected because there is only 1 mechanic that kills you in hordes which is the desecrator. Once you learn how to dodge his attacks, hordes are easy. Till then, run what you stay alive with.
Hey, thanks for the video ! How can you reach AS BP with AS only on gloves + one ring ? I only have 50.7 on sheet with GA AS on gloves (even if MW is low I will never reach 80 or 90%). Edit : And i'm using Accelerating aspect (and not shredding blades), without aspect it's 25% AS.
@AtomosFr because it's 2 rings, not one. BTW, I would suggest run shredding blades. Even without the BP met, the frames lowered by accelerating after 50% base attack speed do not lower your frames by 30%, or conjuration count by 30%, or frames × conjuration count to be =/> then 30%[x].
If I have two winter glass amulets, one with 58% and one with 62% and want to play both the shockuna and the orb build (two characters), would the 62% one be better on the orb character since I’m actually manual casting orb on her, or is it vice versa? Assuming the other stats are the same.
@youngwang5546 62% is better for the orb build, the first part of the intrinsic does not function at all in the shockuna build because "You" are not "casting" the orbs, the conjurations are from the second part of the passive. Great question! Thank you for watching video, hope you enjoyed!

Enjoy playing all the different variants so I think I’ll just level a second sorc to wear all the extra gear I’ve accumulated for testing purposes. The good news is, the 62% winterglass triple crit and has 8 conjuration mastery too. For my shockuna build I’m running the lucky hit version with fist of fates, so the 80% lucky hit won’t be as big of a loss due to the ga fist of fates boosting it.
@adamm6733 Some other tweaks, take off electrocution and put it point to greater chain lightning for crackling energy spam with unstable currents. Points out of hoarfrost and into summoned hydra. Fire bolt enchantment > lightning spear enchantment (basically we can permanently upkeep unstable currents because the boss is an elite which makes overflowing energy reduce the cdr enough, and unstable currents with that much attack speed spams out chain lightnings which create a crazy amount of crackling energy which in turn makes more lightning spears for bigger damage through higher conjuration count with conjuration mastery and just more spears). The hydras spawned from fractured winterglass will apply the burning effect for flame keeper and devouring blaze. Take heed, this build is giga squish. ONE misplay in a 9 minute boss fight = dead. Oh, and control glyph > enchantment master or w/e it's called that gives a lot of non-physical damage. ^ This will cap out our frigid fate and give us ~4%[x] more damage through the additive amount of non-physical damage.

Im not understanding how you can get 16 orbs a second. 3 launched a second. With a 30% possibility of casting twice. Then a lucky hit chance of 90% casting one. Even if you got super lucky and hit the 30% possibility all three times. And, the 90% lucky hit all three times. Thats 9. Can a 90% lucky hit chance orb and a 30% chance double cast orb even both spawn off of a single cast? I guess so. But are you saying that then the 30% chance orb if spawned might cast an on orb off the 90% possible chance and vice versa? Even if so that would be 6 more orbs at 15. And crazy lucky to get all that to spawn. What am I missing? Lol
@Prophecy23JC Okay so for me I have a GA "Chance to double cast frozen orb" fractured winterglass and it gives 34% by itself. My wand and focus each give 33% chance to double cast due to double crit in those tempers. Therefore I have 100% chance to double cast frozen orb. Going further, the " 90% lucky hit conjure spawning a frozen orb" part of winterglass interacts with "chance to double cast frozen orb" meaning they ALSO double cast. And then going FURTHER, frozen orb enchantment allows us to cast 2 more frozen orbs a second because between casting frozen orb 3x a second and conjurations 3x a second, we get 2 more frozen orb cast that ALSO interact with double chance to cast frozen orb. So, let's combine all together. 1. 3 attacks per sec = 6 orbs per second 2. 30 conjurations at 90% of ~12% lhc chance (all conjurations together), is 11.2% of 30, which is ~3.36 orbs from conjurations, (we will say 3 orbs from conjurations just to be safe). This therefore turns to another 6 orbs per second. 3. Frozen orb enchantment is 30% of 6-7 cast per second so we will just say another 2 orbs per second. This is therefore 4 more orbs from double cast. (but sometimes lines up to be 0 orbs or 12 orbs, but after thousands of iterations, it averages to 4). Aight let's add it all up. 1. Casting = 6 per second 2. Conjure = 6 per second 3. Enchantment = 4 per second **6 + 6 + 4 = 16 orbs per second.** Voila.
@@adamm6733 No, the 4.1 Version has been tested with literally EVERY - SINGLE - VARIANT for dps and it is absolutely the king, hands down. There is no version that will out dps that. I have tested very thoroughly and cross tested against other very highly reputable sorc players, no one can touch that version in terms of dps output so far. In time there may be something better, but nothing that I know of. I was dealing nearly double the next best sorc.
Ahhh man, Tals AND Starless? I was really hoping wouldn’t need that and thought Ayal angle was Creative. When you say ‘No one can touch 4.1’, you mean except for LS, right? How far are you pushing?

On your D4 planner for this build all different sections. It only has 47 skill points allocated on the skill tree even though it says 58?

Followed this build. can easily clear Horde T8 and just cleared an 125 pit pretty easily and I dont have perfect gear (pretty good tho) thanks for this! Question I saw you made a new version with Rainment, could you maybe make a followup vid about it?

A lot of these builds use Tibault's Will for the pants, but I've personally found that Temerity works very well. Anybody have any comments on this? What am I losing by using Temerity instead?

@VertPlaysGames yes, but tibaults states, "while unstoppable *and for 5 seconds after* you gain damage". Teleport with all the cdr and overflowing energy has a 4 second cooldown but tibaults works for 5 seconds 😎

In the Tank build, isn't better to put on Paragon - Enchanter instead of Unleash? I am asking because without Tal rasha Frigid Fate has aprox 50x bonus instead of 60x, and Unleash gives You 8x. Enchanter puts back Frigid Fate at 60x.
You loose 2x there AND @ 70% + at Non Physical damage (from Enchanter) if You use Unleash. I don't seem to have mana issues to need Unleash mana regen. Unless I am missing something. Thanks!
So the 10% bonus to frigid fate isn't a flat 10%, it's a 10% bonus to the 50% you already have which creates a rule of diminishing returns. The current frigid fate is a 1.5 multiplier, and the new with your suggestion is 1.6. So the equation is (New - Old)/Old. or here (1.6-.1.5)/1.5 which = +6.66%[x]. The question then become does 70% additive non-physical give us +1.5%[x] more damage? Currently my gear has 2350% additive damage. Divide this by 100 and + 1 you get a 24.5 multiplier coefficient, if you add 80% it becomes 2430% or a 25.3 multiplier. So same math, (25.3-24.5)/24.5 = +3.2%[x]. So we take those two multipliers and multiply them across:
1.066 x 1.032 = 1.1001 -> +10.01%[x] more damage.

If I keep accelerating aspect instead of shredding blades, I have: 75,3 base + 15 elixir + 25 unstable + 25 accelerating aspect =140,2 attack speed ==> 18 frames if I read that right. If I use shredding ofc I have 25 attack speed less = 75,3 base + 15 elixir + 25 unstable = 115.3 attack spd ==> 20 frames. Is this better or keep shredding in Your opinion? Alsoaccelerating is perma uptime, ultimate has 4 seconds gap until I can reactivate it. Thanks if You have time to respond.

Hi. Just wanted to ask if the nerf to sorc impacted this build greatly? I started with fireball sorc which is good but not fantastic, then levelled up an Andariel Rogue which is a beast. I want to go back to the sorc and change to this build but was concerned about all the talk about the nerf ruining it. Your thoughts? Thanks BTW. ☺️
@ginaferraro1967 It did nothing to this build because we couldn't get enough spears out to cause the bug that was happening with 2h spear version.
Essentially once you get +50 spears out, the server tick rate can't keep up with the ticks worth of damage they deal over a period of time, causing them to double dip and deal damage twice. This was causing the 2h version to deal about +60%[x] more damage then intended.
In this build, our max conjuration count is 35, with which before the nerfs the servers could keep up with. Therefore there is literally zero change to the damage of this build since the "nerfs".

Looks great and loved it in S4 ! Thanks for the update. Last season FO was a bit lackluster in Pits. I was around 135 PIT on LS pre-nerf. What you predict your build if maxed out on pits?

In planner you have 85% chance to 2x cast FO. If you’re already at 84% no FO tempers, best to try and reach 100% or put into Crit damage?

I've been following Lurkin's Frozen Orb (Jon Snow Tesla) build on mobalytics. How does this build compare?
@VertPlaysGames They are pretty much the exact thing. He and I collaborated a lot of the work here. I grabbed info from him, he grabbed info from me. They are neck and neck similar with VERY little nuance differences.

What do you think about using SoulBrand as a poor man's T. Might? 40% barrier gen and 12.5% DR when healthy and 30% DR while you have a barrier
Not a bad option, just make sure you can still hit the resistance breakpoints and understand that 40% barrier generation does not effect the "amount" of the maximum barrier, only the rate at which you gain barrier. Unfortunately for sorc, the protection passive cannot stack and maxes out at 30% of your life. But something like ice armor does not have a max and can stack if you can cast it again within active timer (But the previous barrier from first cast will fall off after duration of barrier has expired).
Definitely not a bad option, just be informed on the mechanics.

Trying out your max damage variant but die way too much in T8 compared to never before with lurkin's tanky build. Is that expected? How much does triple MW crit DR on Tyraels matter over just double crit here?
@KyberSoze It's not that much of a difference, but that is expected because there is only 1 mechanic that kills you in hordes which is the desecrator. Once you learn how to dodge his attacks, hordes are easy. Till then, run what you stay alive with.

@patrickb.2441 no matter the variant, desecrator will destroy you. Gotta learn how side step his triple bolt attack and not stand in his ring of fire.
Hey, thanks for the video ! How can you reach AS BP with AS only on gloves + one ring ? I only have 50.7 on sheet with GA AS on gloves (even if MW is low I will never reach 80 or 90%). Edit : And i'm using Accelerating aspect (and not shredding blades), without aspect it's 25% AS.
@AtomosFr because it's 2 rings, not one. BTW, I would suggest run shredding blades. Even without the BP met, the frames lowered by accelerating after 50% base attack speed do not lower your frames by 30%, or conjuration count by 30%, or frames × conjuration count to be =/> then 30%[x].
If I have two winter glass amulets, one with 58% and one with 62% and want to play both the shockuna and the orb build (two characters), would the 62% one be better on the orb character since I’m actually manual casting orb on her, or is it vice versa? Assuming the other stats are the same.
@youngwang5546 62% is better for the orb build, the first part of the intrinsic does not function at all in the shockuna build because "You" are not "casting" the orbs, the conjurations are from the second part of the passive.

The good news is, the 62% winterglass triple crit and has 8 conjuration mastery too. For my shockuna build I’m running the lucky hit version with fist of fates, so the 80% lucky hit won’t be as big of a loss due to the ga fist of fates boosting it.

@bradpeters35 vulnerable damage gets multiplied by shredding blades and most targets in Hordes are not "close".

What is the MAX pit-pushing ability for this build? Have you tried a 4GA Raimant to do more damage + push?
@adamm6733 Highest I have done was a 145 and it was with a triple crit GA GC Raiment.

@adamm6733 Some other tweaks, take off electrocution and put it point to greater chain lightning for crackling energy spam with unstable currents.
Points out of hoarfrost and into summoned hydra.
Fire bolt enchantment > lightning spear enchantment (basically we can permanently upkeep unstable currents because the boss is an elite which makes overflowing energy reduce the cdr enough, and unstable currents with that much attack speed spams out chain lightnings which create a crazy amount of crackling energy which in turn makes more lightning spears for bigger damage through higher conjuration count with conjuration mastery and just more spears).
The hydras spawned from fractured winterglass will apply the burning effect for flame keeper and devouring blaze.
Take heed, this build is giga squish. ONE misplay in a 9 minute boss fight = dead.
Oh, and control glyph > enchantment master or w/e it's called that gives a lot of non-physical damage.
^ This will cap out our frigid fate and give us ~4%[x] more damage through the additive amount of non-physical damage.

Im not understanding how you can get 16 orbs a second. 3 launched a second. With a 30% possibility of casting twice. Then a lucky hit chance of 90% casting one. Even if you got super lucky and hit the 30% possibility all three times. And, the 90% lucky hit all three times. Thats 9. Can a 90% lucky hit chance orb and a 30% chance double cast orb even both spawn off of a single cast? I guess so. But are you saying that then the 30% chance orb if spawned might cast an on orb off the 90% possible chance and vice versa? Even if so that would be 6 more orbs at 15. And crazy lucky to get all that to spawn. What am I missing? Lol
@Prophecy23JC Okay so for me I have a GA "Chance to double cast frozen orb" fractured winterglass and it gives 34% by itself. My wand and focus each give 33% chance to double cast due to double crit in those tempers.
Therefore I have 100% chance to double cast frozen orb.
Going further, the " 90% lucky hit conjure spawning a frozen orb" part of winterglass interacts with "chance to double cast frozen orb" meaning they ALSO double cast.
And then going FURTHER, frozen orb enchantment allows us to cast 2 more frozen orbs a second because between casting frozen orb 3x a second and conjurations 3x a second, we get 2 more frozen orb cast that ALSO interact with double chance to cast frozen orb.
So, let's combine all together.
1. 3 attacks per sec = 6 orbs per second
2. 30 conjurations at 90% of ~12% lhc chance (all conjurations together), is 11.2% of 30, which is ~3.36 orbs from conjurations, (we will say 3 orbs from conjurations just to be safe). This therefore turns to another 6 orbs per second.
3. Frozen orb enchantment is 30% of 6-7 cast per second so we will just say another 2 orbs per second. This is therefore 4 more orbs from double cast. (but sometimes lines up to be 0 orbs or 12 orbs, but after thousands of iterations, it averages to 4).
Aight let's add it all up.
1. Casting = 6 per second
2. Conjure = 6 per second
3. Enchantment = 4 per second
**6 + 6 + 4 = 16 orbs per second.**
Voila.
Aight…now, what is the spec for 3.2 version w/ Axial + Raimant and would a 4GA FoF be BIS vs a Legendary?
@@adamm6733 No, the 4.1 Version has been tested with literally EVERY - SINGLE - VARIANT for dps and it is absolutely the king, hands down. There is no version that will out dps that.
I have tested very thoroughly and cross tested against other very highly reputable sorc players, no one can touch that version in terms of dps output so far.
In time there may be something better, but nothing that I know of. I was dealing nearly double the next best sorc.
Ahhh man, Tals AND Starless? I was really hoping wouldn’t need that and thought Ayal angle was Creative. When you say ‘No one can touch 4.1’, you mean except for LS, right? How far are you pushing?
