Air Zonk ~ PCE ~ 1992 ~ 1CC

This is PC Deijin, known in the west as Air Zonk. This game deserved for sure to be called a cute them up. It has some flashy and wacky graphics, a cool soundtrack and some crazy bosses. Its main mechanics revolve around power ups that grant a new shot type as well as a one hit shield. Companions, which can be selected before each level, or chosen randomly by the game itself, also provide additional firepower. Finally, getting the companion trigger item a second time turns the player into a powerful merged version of both. Discovering those combinations is part of the fun.

For this run, after a great start, I had some issues with the final boss and its many forms, culminating in a double K.O. in my favor against the final form. Luck was with me for sure!
