The amount of rage flowing through me from when I saw Row-Bow in stores and didn’t buy it because I already owned two tech sensies. Part of me wants to beat up myself from four years ago
I can buy Spotlight and Blackout being expensive, as they were some of the first of their element, but Row-Bow usually being over $300 is just absolutely ridiculous
What's ridiculous is the awful distribution of figures, depending on the country. Why should I have to pay for Activisions failure to not produce 300 times as many Gustos as they made Knight Mares? Some figures weren't even released globally, some only on certain platforms. I am getting increasingly frustrated with this nonsense
I completely agree with the whole “I prefer the regulars over the variants”. It’s so weird. I’m collecting all the skylanders and I just want the regulars
I like variants but only the in game variants like legendary sand stuff the chases are a bad deal to me tbf if you already have the original figure then why it shows up the same in game and has the same stats and quite frankly looks ugly as well. Look at red drill sergeant for example he just looks off
Im so happy i got Robow. I got him in a toy store a short time after he released for 10 euro's on sale because they couldnt sell him. Now hes 300 euro's. Easy stonks
I can't tell you how glad I am that I was old enough to have my own income when the Senseis were being released because when I got Ro-Bow and Wild Storm it was just tuesday. If I could go back in time I would hug my past self and tell her that she saved herself a lot money by doing that.
Same here pretty much, didn't really think much of Ro-bow and Wildstorm, only really got them for the adventure pack levels only to find out years later that they'd be over £100
To my understanding some of the prices shot up because of locality. I live in Canada and no store ever had a fire bone hotdog or scratch. Either they never were shipped to the places or they were very rare in certain places.
As someone who just finished their Amiibo collection and is currently finishing their childhood Skylander Collection, these "expensive" skylanders are a kiss of life to my wallet. Like have you SEEN average amiibo prices?
I never realized that my light core pop fizz was expensive. Well mine is definitely lowered price because the bottle is gone and he has a glowing hand now
I regret my freaking past. At the time they released the dark and light expension pack. My local toy store had 3 meters of shelves from left to the right. And 2 meters from up to down. Filled with dark and light expension packs. Dark n light traps And black out and spotlight.... never bought any of them. And now they are expensive as heck
I’m really glad I have Wild Storm but *man* I can’t believe after all these years I still want Ro-Bow. He seems so cool and fun to use. I also remember wanting Tidepool, Echo, Scratch, Spotlight, Blackout, and Thrillipede.
I am kinda glad series 2 and ligthcore variation exist because Wham Shell was so hard to find, so instead I bought an Lightcore Wham Shell from swap force to use it in Spyro’s adventure, You don’t always need the expensive Skylanders to enjoy the game 😉, But you should get them all if you are a collector or you want special upgrades depending on series 😂
Man, I wish I still played during Imaginators' life cycle. I could've saved so much money. I'm currently thinking about getting Wild Storm but I won't bother getting Ro-Bow for 300€+, his level is cool and the character is pretty fun from what I've seen but not 300€ worth of fun in my opinion
I dunno how I did this but I found both of the light and dark expansion packs, blackout, spotlight, echo, and fling Kong at the same GameStop(not at the same time obviously). Also got pain-yatta which is definitely the most expensive sensei after the big three
I remember Wham Shell being extremely rare during SSA, with my friends at school, we were all trying to find it and one person (the one who introduced all of us to Skylanders) finally got him It was the only time she brought a Skylanders figure to school Finding Wham Shell at the same price as the other SSA Skylanders would feel wrong to me
I can say after talking to Activision execs at the launch of Superchargers at NYC, the 3 promo Skylanders are the GOATs. Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy from the OG, Spyro’s Adventures, are the same as retail ones, but have a white back, no UPC and could only work at E3 2011. Six hundred SLs total were sent out to Journo. I got one, Spyro. Two hundred of each were made. They are priceless in the original packaging. They didn’t work on games until a later installation enabled them! Two games later, they stopped working. Back in 2014, an eBay listing had Trigger Happy promo one that sold back then for $800. I’ve only seen that one. Seeming most were opened at E3 2011, I’d guesstimate less than 100 are in the wild, sealed. If you see one, buy it. I’ve had sooooo many offers for it. I’d let it go for $20K, maybe $15K but only if I really needed cash lol. I miss those days!
Just was playing the Wii version of Trap Team and I found a new glitch. When you select a hat for your skylander and spam the A button to go to the hat menu again it crashes very loudly.

No, the story of Blackout and Spotlight are completely different: Blackout: Blackout hails from the Real of Dreams, where the collective imagination of all the creatures in the universe come together to create beautiful wonders... and terrible nightmares. At a young age, he was recruited into the Dark Stygian - a Dragon Clan whose chief responsibility was to create nightmares for evil creatures as a way to discourage them from doing more villainy. But the clan began to abuse their power, and soon spread nightmares far and wide for its own amusement. But Blackout would not stand for it. So he learned to teleport directly into the nightmares the clan created and fought the creatures within. Eventually, the nightmares reached as far as Master eon, who witnessed Blackout’s courage within his own dreams. After helping him put a stop to the Dark Stygian, Eon then made Blackout a Skylander, serving as the protector of the Realm of Dreams and beyond Spotlight: Spotlight was discovered by Master eomin the Prismatic Palace, where the Portal Master had ventured seeking the Crystal Orb of Light. Upon finding the Orb, Eon reached out and gently touched it - causing a brilliant light to emanate in all directions. Having been infused with Eon’s magic, the Orb glowed magnificently. And when Eon slowly lowered his hand from his shielded eyes, Spotlight stood before him in a respectful bow. Her power of Light was unknown to him, for it was not of the eight common Elements in Skylands. But sensing that the Ancients sent Spotlight to him for a reason, he took her to the Core of light and trained her to defend it as a member of the Skylanders. And when none other than evil Portal Master Kaos destroyed it Spotlight vanished See the difference now?
I remember as a kid going to target with my grandmother and seeing spotlight, a kaos trap, and blackout all on the same shelf. I was so lucky to get all of them lmao, I didn’t realize how much blackout was worth
Funny story is that I actually own Ro-bow and I didn’t even need to pay that much money to get him. I went to this store called book-off after I had done buying some nerf blasters at a random goodwill. If you don’t know, book-off is a store where they have books, anime figures, video games, video game accessories and other stuff. The location I went to was inside the Westminster Mall and I was just browsing around to see what skylanders they had, so I was shocked to see that they had a freaking Ro-bow for only $5 considering I knew he was a very expensive skylander. I immediately picked him up along with some other skylanders, including Double Dare Trigger Happy, the most expensive supercharger there is. Unfortunately I couldn’t find his vehicle, the Gold Rusher though, and I still seeking it to this day!
what I always have in mind as a rare Skylander is the bone guy from the Spyros adventure level pack. I only knew one kid who had one and I had never seen it anywhere. I found it randomly in a clearance bin in an eb games in Australia like 10 years later
I recently started to look into some skylanders content and had no idea at all that ninjini was expensive. Got her for christmas along with the game, while she definitely is weak, it was always fun to have another character to mess around with
I got Wham Shell when he came out same thing with Ninjini. I got Series two Bash for like 3-7 USD I got Lightcore Pop Fizz for like 10-15 USD. I got Fire Bone Hot Dog for like forty dollars, I got Scratch when she came out. Luckily I got basically all the Trap Team cores when they came out. I got Double Dare Trigger Happy for like $135 and Thrillipede for $35 and I still need the big three

I got a bundle containing the Midnight Museum set and the Heavenly Hawk trap for just £20 the other day. I also found Spotlight for £5. I have been so lucky lately.
I lost a lot of my Skylanders (some are probably in boxes somewhere) And the fact I had all of these except like 2 makes me want to find all my lost ones

I’m weirdly one of the lucky few who found not just Lightcore Pop Fizz but Lightcore Chill too sadly at the time I couldn’t get both and years later I now own a Lightcore Chill

Ok so I got most of my “expensive” skylanders from local flea market right at the end of Imaginators life, and my sister found a robow for TWO DOLLARS and DIDNT GET HIM because he looked “boring”. Never regretted not going somewhere more in my life…
I’m just happy I have blackout. He’s the one Skylander that I definitely wanted badly. I bought him like 2 or 3 years ago online, he was like $45 dollars used but it was worth it
I have the green choppy mage! I got him in 2019 (And wild storm, not sure if you mentioned orange chain reaction but he’s like 400-500 dollars and somehow I have him oh and to bow too)
I lucked out and got Scratch for free from a good friend who gave me their collection. That same collection included High Five and Knight Light. I’m very grateful 😂
I have rocky roll, ninjini, wham shell, fling kong, flip wreck, and buckshot. Those are all expensive imo. My best deal was finding ninjini for around 5 dollars
Thrillipede banned in the US??? I wonder that is why I never seen him in New Zealand as well... Anyway I managed to get his Easter variant while visiting family in Australia!

Ok so I got most of my “expensive” skylanders from local flea market right at the end of Imaginators life, and my sister found a robow for TWO DOLLARS and DIDNT GET HIM because he looked “boring”. Never regretted not going somewhere more in my life…
One of my friends had/has Ro-Bow, I saw them playing as him once.
I’m just happy I have blackout. He’s the one Skylander that I definitely wanted badly. I bought him like 2 or 3 years ago online, he was like $45 dollars used but it was worth it
I have the green choppy mage!
I got him in 2019
(And wild storm, not sure if you mentioned orange chain reaction but he’s like 400-500 dollars and somehow I have him oh and to bow too)
Was able to get every core skylander in stores except for chompy mage and stormblade of all things
Drobot Series 2 can cost over 100 Euro in Germany. Lightcore Chill is around 50.
3:37 I found lightcore pop fizz at a second hand store for like $1, not in a bundle, just base lightcore pop fizz
I now deem myself lucky that I bought Ro-Bow before the increase in price online
In the UK, series 2 bash, series 2 wrecking ball and ninjini are like £2-6
I lucked out and got Scratch for free from a good friend who gave me their collection. That same collection included High Five and Knight Light. I’m very grateful 😂
Imo echo looks way cooler than Flipwreck but to each their own
I have rocky roll, ninjini, wham shell, fling kong, flip wreck, and buckshot. Those are all expensive imo. My best deal was finding ninjini for around 5 dollars
Epic as ever
Friend: do you have gill grunt?
Me: Nah but I have Grill Grunt
Thrillipede banned in the US???
I wonder that is why I never seen him in New Zealand as well...
Anyway I managed to get his Easter variant while visiting family in Australia!
I remember my mom telling me I can get either blackout or spotlight and I chose blackout bc I already had the light expansion pack I’m so glad I did
I got scratch free from a local give and take recently
Fling king is rare because
Released in last wave
He’s a core
I grew up with Skylanders and it was really cool to see ones I have mentioned in the video, never knew they were worth much ngl
