Great commentary from James, The slight adjustments he said in regards to hand and foot timing/placement is the difference from moving up from a 1575 Weighted Rating to a 1600+ Weighted Rating.
Just a suggestion, id have understood the fight and analysis alot better if you guys had just let the footage play at regular speed once or twice through. Watching you guys go virtually frame by frame made the analysis feel incredibly tedious and disconnected me from a more panormaic understanding of whats going on overall in the exchange
Nice, I'll work on fixing those issues. Great bout!

Thanks so much for coming up to fence with us! These kinds of videos are so valuable for the broader HEMA community.
As someone who doesn't have access to experienced fencers/trainers in our club this is invaluable insight. Thank you for posting! :)
Omg that was very instructive ( and entertaining). More of this.
Great Video! Learned a ton while watching this. Really hope you make this a series during your current training arc.
I really like these breakdowns helps me with my fencing keep up the good work man
I need to see more of these
This was amazing! He really makes you understand what's happening and what both fencers should do, more of this please!
oh hey James Riley! I know that guy! This video rules!
He is unironically the best teacher in the game
Glorious
would you be able to move the commentary to one of the upper corners next time (just so we can see how your feet are moving)
Thanks a lot, very interesting analysis
Woooooooo yeaaaaaaaa babbbyyyyy woooooooo
Now we need a video on "frequence modus stuff" (sp?)
Great video! Please play it full speed in the beginning a time or two. It is a bit hard to follow without having the full picture to begin with
I studied John Steyers bayonet fighting some of this is similar how about a video on bayonet fencing
