I’m 40 weeks and 1 day, going for a VBAC at a birth center too! You’re so right about the waiting game, I took off at 38 weeks, but trusting in the Lord that she will arrive at the right time! Congratulations 💗

This was so helpful, I just found out I’m pregnant with baby # 2, trying and hoping for a VBAC, and planning to meet with a doula and birthing center in the next week. I really want this, my first birth was traumatic and I feel like this would be so healing.

@@stuckinmyshow to be honest, it went very different than I was hoping. It ended up a c-section due to preeclampsia and she was still breech. BUT I felt very empowered still, and very supported. I felt God with me. There were no complications. Baby girl came early (5 weeks early) because of all this and needed no NICU time. She stayed with me the whole time. We did skin to skin for basically 3 days straight. My worship playlist was on during her birth. My body healed beautifully. We have been exclusively breastfeeding since week 2. I am praying for a VBAC for my next baby and the OB who helped birth baby girl said I am a perfect candidate for it.

@@cassitiolson3800 while I'm sorry you didn't get the VBAC this time I'm very glad that you and baby girl are healthy because that's always the best outcome. God is amazing and sees us through everything we just have to trust his plans because he knows better than us lol. I'm hoping for a VBA2C this time around but definitely just keep praying that it be God's will, not mine. Congratulations also!

It went so great! I was able to stay home & labor thru my contractions for about 21 hours. God made a way for my friend who is a midwife to come be with me while I labored at home. She lives over 3 hours away & had clients due near the same time as me, but she delivered the last one literally the night before I went into labor. She checked me & I was at about 6 cm then my water broke. She said we should go ahead to the hospital because my contractions were about to get stronger & faster, & they did lol. We were only at the hospital maybe an hour & a half before I was able to deliver our sweet boy! I pushed on all 4s up on the bed. Holding a comb in your hand really does help to distract from the pain. I'm so thankful God allowed me to have a VBAC & a much better birth experience. It has helped me to heal mentally so much! Hope that things go well for you if you are expecting also! 💓

Whew girl the VBAC rates at birthing centers in my state are utter trash. All except one will force you to have your baby in the hospital and the one that doesn’t require that charges you a VBAC fee of 2k and that’s upfront and outside of the regular payment you would have to pay. It’s to the point that most VBAc mamas I know feel as if they’re punished and forced into another c section due to lack of support and resources.

You are so inspiring! I attempted a vba2c with my third baby and it was so awful because of my midwife. She ruined my experience, had me drink a whole bottle of castor oil to start my labor because I was overdue, then as I was in labor I felt so rushed because she told me she had to get to another birth. Her and another midwife literally convinced me that I didn’t have to struggle and to go to the hospital, so we went…. Then dropped me off and left me to go to the other birth

I'm going for a VBAC and I live in the UK, all the hospitals strongly discourage you going in the midwife led unit which like the birthing centre because you have to be monitored for uterine rupture throughout labour. Since researching and watching I really want to be in the birth centre environment instead of the main delivery ward. Do you think that form monitoring is necessary just because you had a c section before? It's my second pregnancy and reason for the first c section are similar to yours, I've been told I'm a good candidate for vbac and low risk but yet the protocol is to be on delivery ward.
