I'm soo glad Auntie Charla called out Envy for being soo disconnected about the "little" 1.1 million.
@Mami Makala it’s spelled California
@Mami Makala I thought it was obvious why you spelled it that way 😅. There's always someone trying to correct another person in the comments unwarranted.
@Mami Makala lol that’s a quarter million every year. That’s pretty good
@@jdawg4184 If you invest 18M and you're only making 250k every year on it that's a poor return bro that's less than 1.5% return, that's horrible. In fact, considering inflation all those years that's a loss
@Mami Makala It's a loss anyway, factor in inflation, maintenance, upkeeps and everything else, fees & tax, yeah that's an L. Less than 1.5% return annually, could've put it in the s&p 500 and it would've performed better but I don't think he meant for it to be an investment like that anyway.
Not being the "angry black woman" allowed Sheryl to keep her job. She was smart to remain calm and composed. Be angry and act up if you want to, but where you won't be working is on a white man's network while you do it.
Thank you sis! Its like people WANT us to act ghetto and loud when angry then are the first to make FUN of us when we do. Black women have no protectors, and these people do not have a job to give us when we lose it and they sure arent protecting us.

@@H2ThaP "I can't help the poor if I'm one of them..." ~Jay-Z
It's a complex world we live in; morals and money both matter.
Sharon didn't decide to leave the show. She got the golden parachute as she got the boot out of the door. It was a show. You don't have a heart to heart with a friend on TV, if your goal is understanding and to convey your perception of what your friend said.
@Queen Nita I would argue that having a heart to heart on TV is unwise, if you value your friendship. Good relationships require boundaries and discretion. Reality TV has destroyed so many relationships because it causes people to get more caught up in their feelings or put on airs for their reputation. In a private conversation, Sheryl Underwood could have unloaded both barrels on Osbourne, if she wanted to, and not be perceived as an angry Black woman, but as an angry Black friend. I realize that some women have become accustomed to the frenemies concept, where you say and do nasty stuff behind each other's backs, but act like you're friends. That is some cornball shit that shows a lack of boundaries and poor judgmemt.
Sharon Osborne playing the Victim as Sheryl Underwood has to continue to be tolerant, that's bs
Underwood is racist
You can't say someone didn't apologize and when you get called out say you didn't know you were supposed to answer 🤦🏾♂️. People are just playing the race card know
@@hbb7528 she can say whatever she want 2 say.
And work 🤔
@@Antonjlavey, you sound Stupid, if anything Sharon Osborne played Sheryl Underwood
She expressed in a mature way that didn't turn anyone off. She was right not turning to an angry black women. She was just a women expressing the way she feels with class.
I agree 100% with Charlemagne the god period facts
Sheryl still has her career in motion, meanwhile someone else is still trying to tell their story. Sheryl showed poise, which is highly underrated theses days. Everything doesn’t bring cause for an angry reaction, especially when it doesn’t benefit you in the long run.
With her being a black woman, esp. darkskin black woman, if she were to act the stereotypical loud and ghetto, people would have had something say and called her out for being the angry black woman and it wouldnt have just been white people but black people too. She did right, were so use to being seen as the aggressors, that it was refreshing to see Sherly flip that script and besides every situation doesnt deserve the same reaction. Sharon was digging her own hole and Sheryl knew that as to why she kept it cute.
I've always wondered does Yee get irritated by C.G cutting her off during explanations😂😂
Yes, but she ignores him.
She needs to become the Angry Black Woman.... he does it all the freaking time 😡😡😡😡😡😡
Lol I was asking did anyone notice how yee was ignoring charlamagne 🤦🏾♂️🤣
CTG for president..."if you are silent about your pain...they will kill you and say you enjoy it"....Zora Neal Hurston.....damn! I felt that.
I think Sheryl not displaying anger kills the stereotype that black women are angry. I think she did a good job. But I know behind the scenes she saying FDB!!!!
💯🙌🏾
I love how you are gaslighting Sheryl. As a big, black.woman, they would have vilified. Look at what they did to serena! We cannot be angry. It can harm us
Im so proud of Sheryl Underwood growth from comic view to now. She articulates herself so well and is very poised. They gonna prosper under Sheryl. Addition by subtraction.
She accused someone of being racist for defending a friend who criticized a person who happened to be black. Sheryls a complete ididot
Yes indeed a college education will do that for you
Sheryl kept her head through all this and now she’s undeniably the new leader of the show!!! Anger can never be the true way.
She came to the round completely unprepared. She had nothing on Piers Morgan. NOTHING. She didn't have her homework. She didn't have quotes, she didn't have actions, she didn't have dates. She had a 'feeling' about Piers that she didn't like but she couldn't actually name one single thing. Then she went for poor Sharon and took her down, along with the others. She just piled on her for nothing? She had nothing?? She didn't have one single shred of fact on Piers. And poor Sharon is just trying to inject a little logic into the mix. A person is still entitled to their opinion. That is a FACT. And here everyone is calling Sheryl a Queen. A Queen of what? A Queen of mediocrity? A Queen of not being prepared? A Queen of throwing a friend and colleague under the bus because she is a white woman from the UK? Not cool. I think actually what Sheryl did WAS racist. That was the only racist thing I saw from the whole episode...
@@imalemming4482 it doesn't appear that Sharon was wrong, it just may seem that she didn't handle it like the cool-headed pro she normally is
So with Charlamagne saying that, then Monique is not wrong in her stance on equality.
Monique was claiming shit was racist meanwhile other Black people working with the same platform she was making accusations against were getting offered a lot of money. Not saying she was wrong, but from what we’d seen (& CTG was making this exact point) she was being made an offer based on her relevance and relevance alone. Notice not much, if anything, is said about her since? No one’s checking for Monique like they used to, and that was the point
Ctg is being willfully obtuse about black women and being tropes. No one said she was not angry, she did not want to be misnomer. And the fact is Sharon got out yt womaned that day.
No, he's being serious. He recognizes the issues of being labeled an angry black woman or angry black person, but we shouldn't compromise or compartmentalize our anger on making others (whites) feel comfortable. White folks express anger all day without labels, why shouldn't we? So if being labeled an angry black woman or angry black male upsets them, so let it be. Stop giving them the energy on how we're labeled.
@@ceemontana5877 👏👏👏
@@ceemontana5877 as much as I agree, I still feel that Sheryl kept her job bc she remained composed. Had she responded with similar or matched emotions, she would have been asked to apologize and Sharon would have been seen as a victim.
@@jneezypv but Sharon is already being seen as the victim. Thats the whole point. NOT being emotional or angry doesn't do anything anymore than being angry does.
Cee Montana
It worked I’m this situation though...she kept her job. We all know there would’ve been a high possibility that Sheryl would’ve been fired, had she given the same energy that Sharon did.
In an ideal world, it would be nice for Black Women to be able to just be angry, because the situation brings it up, rather than be slapped with a label. But the fact is...we don’t like in that world unfortunately
That spell check function works when it wants to. Let’s “return” to this rumor report 😂
ruclips.net/video/yCGMhgWlOQg/видео.html
I think Charla is being a tad disingenuous with the hold “where has not being the angry black woman/man gotten us”. It is actually the opposite of that. Black people are apprehensive because we HAVE been vocal and the stereotype exists because of that. I get what he is trying to say, but let’s not pretend that the others before us have not been fighting the fight.
Welp, where "HAS" being the angry black woman gotten us?
The problem is the person perceiving someone as being angry. They're the ones with seeing, hearing truth, or an opposing objective differently than theirs.
There is a time and a place. It's called chess not checkers. From where I see it our Queen is still on the board with a platform for our voices to still be heard. Kudos to Cheryl. 🙌🏿❤😁💯💣👊🏿
“The rutern” 😭😭😭interns at it again I see
I know I was just thinking no one edited this..

They fixed it now
You see the way Sheryl is holding her hands??? She's in the clique honey. I know what holding your hands like that symbolizes. She's covered by the higher ups.
Clocked that too.
I peeped that.
I think their is a difference between being angry and emotional...you can be angry and operate within that anger with logic, but to be overly emotional means your emotions are in control....”all battles are won before they are even fought” -Sun Tzu
Which friend crossed a line here first?
Sheryl asked Sharon: “What do you say to people who criticise you for supporting racism?” This is the kind of loaded question that journalists like to ask. To ask a friend, who trusts you, such a question on live tv is a betrayal.
Bro are you even a man?
We can ask questions without being angry labeled the angry back woman. Just as calmly as she continued the conversation she could’ve calmly asked her questions regarding her attitude.
1a
She was caught off guard. I don't know about you, but that has happened to me several times sitting at the table with CFO's of major cooperations. Cooler heads always prevail.
I definitely agree. We shouldn't have to edit out our emotions to make people feel comfortable.
Flipping a table will get you arrested or barred. Genius.
The word if the day is....Intimidation..that's why we can't get angry..the moment our voices get a lil loud..it's a problem
Ctg always have valid points I swear 💯💯
Not being the angry black woman got her a job when The Talk resumed 🤔🙄 Sharon got fired.
I agree
The “Rutern” of the Talk. 😂
Sharon is entitled to her opinion. Black people need to rise about this overly sensitiveness stance. Our ancestors were whipped and fed worst food than animals...opinions that seems rational shouldn't harm us
@Tamare' Neteru you prove my point ! People are entitled to their opinion and mine is simple "some black people " need to stop being overly sensitive , not everything is racist just because you don't agree with it . Now go back and learn to grasp English !

Listen. If I am upset about something you will know. There is a way to be assertive and firm when getting your point across. When we suppress ourselves we're doing a disservice to everyone around us. If I'm angry and I'm black, yes I'm an angry black woman. What's the problem?
Exactly.
Charlamagne - the issue is once a black woman gets angry the focus switches to her reaction and not the initial problem Sheryl Underwood did the right thing so that the issue can not be covered by her reaction....it's not that she wasn't angry she just had to remain calm
What they are missing regarding the convo about being the angry black women is that black women have to be careful cause if we get labled that way our lives could be ruined
Sharon Osbourne had a right to be angry, just because she had a friend that might be a racist. That doesn't make her one too..
My "anger" will get someone sued.
My lawyers are always on speed dial.
Ok sis?! That’s the only thing that’ll get them right!

You can't spell NASDAQ without NAS!!! I love it!!
Not being the angry black person has gotten many people far. Those that act as CTG prescribes may struggle in industries outside of sports and entertainment where there are far more career opportunities for black people. CTG is lucky to be in a job where he can express himself how he wants. This is not the reality for most people, regardless of race. Sheryl's actions have shown that conducting yourself professionally even when provoked makes the other person come off worse.

Amen. Feel your feels. I felt that.
I really feel like if Sharon felt like she was put on the spot, and that she is an ally, why not stay on the show and continue the conversation???
Don’t leave, it makes you seem like you’re avoiding the conversation.
At this point it doesn't make financial sense to stay she should take her bag 💰 and move on I truly believe she is in the right and did nothing wrong but try to defend her friend
That’s a really interesting point I never thought of it that way. It does seem like she’s avoiding when she leaves the conversation.
Exactly!
It's not right but Sheryl had to control herself because the narrative would have switched and she would be out of a job and Sharon would be the victim

CTG All that getting angry would’ve done was lost Sheryl her job too. I soooo agree. Ppl use "friend" too loosely. I blame social media sites for that thinking. In my country, we have a saying that "every skin teet aint a laugh". Everyone you know is not your friend especially when dealing with work colleagues. You may know a lot of ppl but as a mentor once told me " while someone may be your friend, you may not be theirs". 👀

I agree that being the angry Black woman has gotten me no where. Women have to express themselves at the degree that controversy is presented (i.e., I meet people where they are). I also feel that we're in a place where no one can have a different opinion. Debating has become obsolete, unfortunately.
It "got us" (In this case Sheryl) a JOB, while Ms Osbourne is out of a job. Stop encouraging Black women to act ghetto and out of control wit their emotions then make FUN of Black women when they "go off".
