I have been a sting fan since the early Police days and still hold him in high regard as a songwriter and bassist. The one thing that really REALLY PISSES ME OFF is his attitude to his British fans. He tours all over N America, Europe etc but when he comes to the UK he plays about five gigs all in large arenas. How about a tour of smaller venues ,more accessible to the fans both geographically and financially Sting?
Surprise is SOO hard to find in music now. Sting gets bored with mediocre and that's why he's the greatest. He dares to find the undiscovered and to hell with the record sales. Much respect.
I like this album's return to rock. Sting is such a creative and intelligent guy, it makes me cringe to see an interviewer who has no substantive questions to ask and tries to over up this fact with shallow comments and sexual innuendo. To offer some perspective, I just watched an incredible interview of the late David Bowie by Thomas Vinterberg on RUclips, showing how awesome a discussion of creativity can be.
I agree She's in her own world, and is not really connecting on a thoughtful empathetic level. i perceive, this vain;"Look at me,i'm talking to a legend", vibe.
My name is Gordon Stoeffler. I'm a poet and writer. The best song you ever created was "Nothin' bout Me."It's my theme song. Most of the world wants to share their private life and I don't.... other than I'm happy. It took years to make that so..lol The video "Fortress around your Heart." Tells all BUT don't want the public to like you unless willing to pay the price. The fame. G.
This guy was my idol back in the 80's . Love him with the police and a little after , but then he adopted a new sound a whole new band, musicians we're coming and going . His musical sound was totally different from what I liked and I lost interest .

Well England is not very big (it is but it's not ) . So when he plays five major cities in England it's sounds about right . Here in America he does the same , he plays all major cities and people some might have to travel to his concert . All music celebrities do that . They all want perform in the big city. I traveled 2 hours once to see Rush.
@@giovanideparma3500 More fool you. There is absolutely NO reason why a man as wealthy as Sting could not play a few smaller gigs for the fans. There are lots of venues in the UK that would be suitable.
nothing like nothing like the sun
scott slick
nothing. exactly.

At the moment your songs are fuelling me through marital distress!
Great Sting. My favourite singer of all time.
Thank you for your comment. Sting is my favorite singer and song writer of all time as well😊 Best wishes from Virginia🙏

My favorite song in the album is Patrol Head!
Petrol, like gasoline, not a soldier patrol
Saw a different interview and nearly all the same questions were asked and Sting's answers were verbatim. I still love Sting tho.
Yes, this female interviewer is full of herself. "Beauty does not equal integrity and weathered-wisdom."
I agree

I'm sure Sting thinks about it the same way, you can see it in his face at some point:) But it's somehow funny
She is horrible. I couldn't watch the entire thing.....bad choice for interviewer.
When I did musical composition my problem was always balance between familiarity and unexpected changes
We have a big crossroads here and my favourite game is dodging the traffic lights!

I do drawing like that, scribble a bit then it seems to turn into something even if I don’t know what it is it becomes something
"Congratulations on completing a new album".
"...congratulations on stringing an entire sentence together, bitch".
Oh the fun facts…

Donna Farhi says to remember you are important but you are not special.
They should married!!
Reality check. When it comes to sounding like the police there’s no substitute for the The Police!

Had 2 click off. Too many AMAZING interviews 2 suffer through this nonsense.

Not in the UK or Europe but I remember him doing a performance in Santa Barbara for less than 1200 people, it was fantastic!
