I'm not sure what you mean about what route, but my suggestion would be to visit the following places...Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Kanazawa. Also, I would recommend staying at places near stations where you can easily go. Preferably Shinkansen stations. I would also suggest visiting some places as day trips from where you are staying. This way you're not changing hotels all the time. Enjoy your trip!!
