    Great video👍 I'm going with the same trolling motor but the 24v 80lb first and have a helix 5 for the front for now

    Great video, thanks for sharing, I put my Terrova on 1st thing. The foot pedal is only about 1-1/2” high that works well when “beating the bank”

      Yes I agree I’m glad I didn’t cut the recess tray in now since the terrova pedal so low profile

    In addition to the onboard charger I also added a alternator charger for the batteries. Topping off the batteries while running the outboard. Nice setup!

    • @danbarber67
      @danbarber67 2 года назад

      Does the alternator work good? I'm thinking of going to a 24V system from a 12V. I like the idea of keeping the batteries charged.

    • @bobwc629
      @bobwc629 2 года назад

      @@danbarber67 I run two 12 Vs. I spend a lot of time on the trolling motor. I like the idea that when I'm burning gas going from spot to spot that some of that expense (gas) is going back into charging my batteries...starter first and when that tops off it switches over to the trolling battery. All I know is that I have enough power throughout the day. Coming back to the dock I plug in the onboard charger. I'm no expert but I feel I'm getting some benefit from this setup. It's putting some "juice" back into the system depending on how much you're running and gunning. As for products I have no recommendations. Hope this helps, sorry for being long winded.

      I did not post a video of the lights I bought but will have a video soon with all my upgrades/modifications because there are a few things nobody has seen.The lights I got off Amazon I can’t seem to find the link though I tried looking .Easy to install I didn’t even hard wire them just plugged them into the 12v plug at console.

    Do you have any issues operating the terrova in shallow water? I know a lot of people say cable steer trolling motors are the way to go when fishing shallow and that electric steer foot pedals have alot of lag.

    • @BredForBass
      @BredForBass  2 года назад +1

      I have not had it much in shallow water yet as it’s still fairly new to me.I’ve heard the same thing though but it don’t feel like much of a lag to me.Like anything else your not used to probably need to just get used to it.

      @@BredForBass I tend to agree with you. I went with a 55lb edge on my pro 170. I'm kinda kicking myself right now probably should have gone with the terrova or maxxum 55 instead. I would be extremely interested in what you think after you get out and fish shallow. Really enjoy your content!

    Why did you select the terrova? I see you added a plate for install ? Is there a motor that install with the original edge mounting holes ??

    • @BredForBass
      @BredForBass  Год назад +1

      I went with the terrova because of spot lock.I’m not sure if there is a trolling motor that lines up with the same holes or not.I put the plate there to give extra strength people have had issues with the front weld breaking when using the terrova.The way the terrova mounts so far up on the bow it puts a lot of pressure on that weld.I have videos showing how and why I put the plate there.
