I never skip any ads that run during your videos. We all should do that with youtubers whom we are engaged with, either for entertainment or for learning. And I also watch full videos without skipping any part. Wish I could make ice cream every week but due to pulmonary issues I only make 3 to 4 times in a year.
I really appreciate your support, watching ads is always an issue for some but they watch them on TV, on Amazon Prime etc there is an excellent statistic that shows how the ads on RUclips compare.
This looks so good. Could I do the same thing but with fresh blueberries? Maybe some sugar should go in with the berries while cooking? I'll experiment.
I usually use some eggs instead of stabilizers. And You know I would include dry milk and corn syrup. I usually use 1/4 cup of each for a 1-quart recipe. The last blueberry ice cream I made seemed to have a buttery flavor for some reason.🤔
@@PolarIceCreamery Strange, but delicious!! They were older berries that had been frozen a long time. I did not add the dry milk and corn syrup, but will next time.👍
I only have whole milk powder. Is that okay too? Also, now I have to look up how to make marshmallow fluff. Here in rural Australia so nothing in store near me🤣 looooove your videos! Brilliant to see science in ice dream making instead of some people complaining on how icy their ice creams are when they freeze water and protein powders😜. Love your Ice cream logic.
My first ice cream I made with my new machine was blueberry! For one it’s my favorite berry, for two… NO ONE ever makes it in the stores!!! It was delicious My mistake was not smashing up the blueberries yes they were cooked plumped up but they froze solid again in the final product… not too yummy
Ahh watch the Sugar Series Videos , I tell you what they are for. It reduces sweetness and makes it easier to scoop from the freezer. Depending on your country, corn syrup can also work.
Great❤. My brother usually asks me to make blueberry icecream, in response i shout at time because i don't know anything about blueberry and its icecream. Never seen any blue berries yet at our local fruits seller stalls. Have to find some somehow!
Looks good i can't taste almonds in blueberry although I haven't tasted them after reducing them on the stove, my attempts at fruit ice cream have always been terrible texture but I have only have tried it a few times.
Hi, new subscriber here, Just want to ask Do you really need to pasteurize your milk, creams etc. for commercial ice cream ?, were planning to open a small scoop shop in Asia ! Thanks
Hi, Asia is a big area! Can’t speak for ALL of Asia but yes so far I have yet to find a country that will allow you sell ice cream commercially without pasteurizing your mix.
It would be cool if someone made marshmallows that had the perfect amount of gelatin, sugar, etc so that if you melt it in water or milk it will make perfect icecream
Unfortunately xylitol isn’t a 1:1 replacement. Every recipe will be different but it’s around 70% of the sugar. You’d then need a little more milk powder to balance it out.
Easy and quick! Great video Nick! I find blueberries taste like nothing haha. Is 100gm enough for the whole base? Can we switch it to other fruits like frozen strawberries or peaches?
Yeah by increasing the strength of the bloobs during the reduction, it helps flavor is stronger. You could add more if you wanted though. You could probably do strawbs etc, any berry would work I imagine.
Great timing on this video. I just bought a 4# bag of frozen blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries from Costco for 8 USD. Seems whenever I have a question about making great ice cream I can find the answer in one of your videos. Thanks for all you do Nick, and congratulations on your quickly growing number of subscribers. How about a video on Bananas Foster ice cream? Sans Flambé.🔥😂
That’s timing for sure! It’s my pleasure and as always, it’s good having you here with me. Bananas Foster sounds like a great idea. I could include all parts, banana, vanilla extract cream cream and the sauce 🤔👍
I am very interested is making this. I love Blueberries, and there is ample supply in my area. Challenge: I need a no sugar/Keto version. I'll lean on Allulose to sub for the sugar, but the Corn syrup has me a little stumped. I have watched your Sugar Series and I am thinking the Corn Syrup is replacing Dextrose, and being used for freeze depression. If so, could I eliminate that ingredient and add a little bit of alcohol (Vodka=neutral taste or Gin=boost the flavour). As always, I appreciate your technical wisdom when it comes to ice cream making. Thanks for such a fabulous channel 😊
Grew up on a local ice cream shop that aleays had the best blueberry ice cream. They are long gone now. If im lucky enough to find blueberry icecream its nowhere near as good. #Bloobs!
Please don't stop producing your videos. They are the best videos for ice cream.
Thank you so much ☺️

Definitely and the sugar route would work 👍 use some of the recipes sugar.

@@ralphgreenwood5857 yeah the skim milk powder really is essential. If I could get everyone to have it in the pantry, I would.

Ahh yeah that would happen. If you had the base down though, at least you know how to fix that now 👍
Where have you been? Soooo glad to listen/watch/hear my Polar pal!
More like where have I been? Grins!
Where have I been…… where have YOU been 😉😂 good to have you back 🤗
Blueberry 🫐 ice cream 🍨 with a marshmallow swirl 😋Yum Factor 10/10 👊🏾🙌🏾
Sorry if I missed it, what dose Dextrose do and why should it be in my ice cream?

They’re delicious little nuggets of wonder 😂
Would you recommend wild blueberries or regular blueberries for this ice cream? I’m really going for a noticeable blueberry flavor.
Well wild strawberries (Alpine strawberries) have a much stronger flavor. I’m going to assume blueberries are the same?!
So glad your channel came on my feed. Can these ingredients be used in my Ninja Creami.
Yes, almost every recipe I make will also work in the ninja creami 👍
Are you using whole milk in this recipe?
I never use whole milk, only 2% 👍

Try this one, you won’t be disappointed 😉

Which machine you are using
Is this available in india
It’s a Musso 4080, I don’t know about availability in India though.

Haha I feel a science experiment coming on!
Strawberries are a good price right now. Can you do a strawberry ice cream soon?
Yeah I just grabbed some in Safeway, I’ll be making it this week for release next week 👍
@@PolarIceCreamery Sounds good. Thanks.
If I were to use Xylitol instead of caster sugar - do I replace in a 1:1 ratio please? Would this be true for all ice cream flavours?
Unfortunately xylitol isn’t a 1:1 replacement. Every recipe will be different but it’s around 70% of the sugar. You’d then need a little more milk powder to balance it out.
Can you put blue berry marmelade ?
Yeah probably, make sure to check how much sugar is in the marmalade and subtract that from the ice cream recipe.

Yep that would work. I’d probably use 10g (ml) of the alcohol at 40% ABV (80proof).
@@PolarIceCreamery Thanks for that quick reply Nick. I'll let you know how it turns out. Cheers.
@@PolarIceCreamery Well I gave it a shot and amazed myself. I'll try to post all of the particulars on the community page.

Yep, definitely a flavor that’s disappearing…….. #bloobs ftw 🙌
Blueberries taste like Blueberries 😂😂😂😂
Noob question, how will the excess water in the Blueberries impact the end product if i dont reduce it?
My guess would be a diluted flavour and harder to scoop end product.
The excess water would create large ice crystals. If the bloobs haven’t been crushed, they’ll freeze solid.
You got it 👍
Blue berry taste a bit like Black currant
It’s like a magic food, tastes different to everyone 😂
