The experts gave Mark another woman like his mom and grandmother, that he has to take care of. Lindsey’s mouth and over the top personality are already starting fires that Mark has to put out. OAN totally agree that production should have left Alyssa and her bad attitude in Boston.
Was thinking the same thing! If Lindsey doesn't shape up (so hoping she does cuz they could be a dynamic couple), he basically will have to take care of her like he does the other important women in his life & he deserves better that to be relegated to that.
MAFS is really getting formulaic. It's just too much actually. They badly need some creativity. Same conversations at wedding time, same friends asking if they'll have sex 1st night, same, parents giving them a negative start, same unbuttoning dress, same brushing teeth together, same clarifying of sleep status, same morning breath talk etc etc. And the experts come in to countdown to the day when the couples must decide whether they want to stay married -- or get a divorce. It's all or nothing but mostly nothing
I agree. If anyone knows anything about how an experiment works, you perform trials, when that phase of the experiment does not work, you go back and revise. Where is the revision bc clearly the format of each season is not boasting significant success.

Jasmina was so put off by Michael’s sisters telling her that Michael can have a negative point of view at times, but she has never dated anybody in her same city. That’s more concerning to me. That tells me that she may not know how to be in a real relationship because long distance relationships are not real. Not for a man anyway, in my opinion. Everything have to be planned, there’s little to no spontaneity with long distance relationships. She wasn’t listening to Michael in the hotel room and what he said made perfect sense to me.

So obviously Steve's dad is old school and apparently feels strongly about having a 9-5. So he called his son a vagabond. But let's be real a RUclipsr just a while back could have been called a vagabond, lol. Those that decided to become full-time RUclipsrs parents thought they were crazy. A lot of them are now millionaires. Let's be honest, most 9-5 jobs pay the bills, make you a little comfortable, but having your own business can get you success quicker. That said, I think Steve will do just fine bringing home the bacon. Now let's talk about Alyssa. I'm sick of the show letting people like her get away with their crap. The "professionals", Pastor Cal, Dr. Viviana, Dr. Pepper, or even production should step in at these times. Alyssa should not have been able to go on a free trip to PR. She has not tried to get to know her husband at all. Glad Keisha called her out on some of her bull on Afterparty. Keisha did the job the professionals and the show should have done.
I so agree with you about Steve and have never felt as concerned as everyone else about him being unemployed. I'm more worried about if he's really ready to settle down. He seems to be a responsible free spirited individual who wants to explore. I'm not so sure Noi is on the same page
I honestly think Alyssa looked at Chris’ friend and they liked each other , and that is why the friend tried to cause a rift. I wouldn’t be surprised if they started dating. Chris needs new friends
Steve’s dad is from another era. Was free lancer even a word in his dad’s day? I think Steve has money and free lances from time to time. Free lancer is just a person that’s self employed.
I think Olajuwon could’ve handled the conversation with Jelani the way that Mile handled is conversation with Jasmina’s parents. Though Jelani was bring the strength in the room🤣…Olajuwon should’ve just took it as they were being “protective” over Katina. Olajuwon doesn’t like to be challenged by anyone.
They refuse to ever come in and provide support. That is most likely why people suffer so much on these shows. There is no support and a snowball effect of problems pile on top of each other.
Does anyone know what the rules are for utilizing the experts? They should be on call 24-7. They should remove Alyssa from the show and bring in another potential match if Chris would be up for it. He seems like a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be treated like this by Alyssa or MAFS.

Pinkie I agree with you about Jasmina and Mike’s communication. Based on what her parents said, it appears that she like to argue or be “right”. The conversation wasn’t that deep and she didn’t even try to see Mike’s POV; she really let what his sisters said form her opinion about him.
I feel the exact same way. The way Alyssa is treating Chris is so hurtful to me. Like I feel the pain through the TV. Even if she isn’t attracted to him to be in a relationship she could work on being friends. She’s just trying to ice him out and not engage. The least she could do is be friendly and just hang out with him. She doesn’t have to fall in love.
I think Steve not having a job is a problem. I’ve seen so many people online saying “He might be making $200,000 with each job,” which could be true. But from what I’m seeing he’s not pulling that type of money, because he would’ve said to Noi by now I can support you, myself, and future kids doing what I’m doing. And he could’ve left it at that. I agreed with Michael. He was being realistic, while Jasmina was trying to pick a fight. Steve's Father may be the root of Steve's problem because it appears that he probably could never get approval from his Father. It is despicable for a parent to trash their child on TV by calling them a vagabond. There is nothing wrong with Freelance work because you can be registered with agencies that send you out to different jobs which is very common for tradespeople; it is similar to contract work. Lindsay will keep embarrassing Mark and he will be apologizing and trying the clean up the mess many times over. Run Mark Run! Alyssa is not worth the time to discuss. It seems that all the contestants on this season have really messed up families because they are giving negative comments.
I don't think Steve's father was so much disparaging him as he was flatly describing who he is 🤷🏾♀️ Steve used to have a full time job and now does freelance work to prioritize travel. In itself, that's not a bad thing. But the fact that Steve REFUSED to answer what his future career plans are to both his wife and her family shows a huge level of immaturity. This man isn't ready for marriage, to have kids requires stability, so when your spouse asks for your career plans before y'all start having kids, you give them an answer not a round about excuse

It is up to Steve and Noi and it is certainly not my or your or the public's business. He didn't quit his job, there were lay off's so he decided to do some traveling; maybe he got a payout package, who knows. There are other people on the show who are without a job for example Alyssa said she used to work in Social Media but does not seem to be at present. Maybe the question should be, who can afford to take two months off there job without pay to go on the show? Very few companies will give you a leave-of-absent for two months to do a Reality Show. The only people who have that kind of freedom would be a teacher on summer break, someone who is self-employed like Chris the Realtor or someone who saved up money.

I really dislike (in this order) Alyssa, Lindsey, Olajuwan.....and honestly Katina about to be right up there with them. Alyssa is a narcissist obsessed with appearances which is why she has been unwilling to be honest. She think she a 10 but she and Chris are both average, like most of the world's population. She think she's so much better than him and it disgusts me. Lindsey 100% played Karen and she's loud and off-putting. So is Olajuwan. Honestly he and Lindsey are the same person, the thing is he is black and wouldn't victimize himself but they both seem like they like to be seen. I think I mostly don't like Katina because of her association with Olajuwan. She's cool otherwise. I don't think there's a match. They need to start removing individuals when they act like this or mistreating someone. Being disrespectful to your partner because you don't like who you were matched with, then they need to leave and put someone else in her place. I am with you, when I get to their scene, I fast forward. I am getting to the point where I don't want to watch the show.
I totally understand what Steve is saying/not saying. My guess is: His philosophy on life is different than others. He is more in line with the perspective of living his life, experiencing the world around him. He does not come off childish, immature or disorganized. The man did get degrees and has already worked in corporate America. I think he wants to be open to the possibilities of what can happen in life. Exploring. People in the west (who live in metropolitan cities) are often driven by work and capitalism. Whereas other places really focus on quality of life. I just think he is an awesome person who is brave to step out the box. He doesn't come off as someone who would let his children starve. And regarding her family, I think he didn't want the first time they had a detailed conversation about work/life to be on TV with her relatives. His lifestyle will come with challenges and sacrifice, but all lifestyles do...I wish them the best ❤

I wouldn't say Michael is a pessimist, I think he's stoic. Stoicism would be more realistic than pessimistic. They will see the jar with water and recognize that it is both half full and half empty. They prepare for the worst but hope for the best.
So Mark has met with Lindsey's family and friends twice in 48 hrs and all they do is warn him of her mouth and behavior. RED FLAG WAVING!!! Plus it sounds like her own mom sees her just like Catina does and can't stand her.

I agree with you 100% on your review of the couples. I am glad Chris is nice, but has a backbone! Alyssa sucks. They really need to have a second back up person (match)for ppl like in Chris situation, they won't be married, but can date the 8 weeks or whatever time is left to see if they want to move forward. Kinda like a consolation prize. Just thinking of how this could be less harmful emotionally, on the other hand, you take this chance when you sign up for a situation such as this.

I’m not too concerned about Steve… yet. I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt because we don’t see everything. He does freelance, so it seems he does have some type of income coming in. He might be waiting to solidify the job prospects close to where they decide to establish themselves. (Don’t know how far things are in Boston) I have a friend very much like him but is on point when coming to responsibilities. He has money money and hella savings but you would never know it by where he lives, how he lives etc.

I think everyone has the right to express themselves how ever they want. I’m a straight senior woman and I wouldn’t want anyone telling me what I should wear. I loved it!
Steve, in my opinion, is not ready for marriage, at least not in the traditional sense. He would have fit in with the flower Children of the 60s, who wandered the country in Volkswagen buses And Sold flowers and T-shirts. He either needs a nomad bride Or Needs to change his single-minded attitude and fall into the traditional role of husband and provider. I can even see Steve staying home to raise the kids while Noi worked, if she would put up with that. The 'fake-perts' Should have dismissed him As not qualified. Michael did say he wanted a partner to challenge him but when Jasmina disagreed with his assessment, he questioned whether he should have asked for that type of person in the first place. This is one of those rare cases on the show when people ask for what they desire and get it, only find out it's not what they desire after all.. Michael and Jasmina appeared to be two opinionated people who see life from opposite ends of the spectrum. When Michael asked Jasmina's sisters what type of person she was, they replied "hold on!", And in the wedding her family said that she was a firecracker. "Boom boom"!
Im a retired RN of 21 yrs, I traveled, abd met alot of nurses, and alot of nurses do hav control issues, we hav to....also we learn really quick to stand our ground...BUT...its a thing I see in young nurses, we older ones learn to mellow out n pick our battles....I do wish we could hav heard that exchange...and known if she had alachol on board...cause she already has NO filter....and drinking alachol will just add to that.

Ten seconds into this video and I hit the Like button like it was the golden buzzer on America's Got Talent. Noi's family should have gone deeper and asked Steve about the hidden income items a company would provide. Having a baby while on Medicaid is not preferable. Does Noi have medical coverage? I also was searching and couldn't find where he's living at 38 (4th episode is first I saw). I think what happened on the plane with Lindsay was the proverbial drunk too much butthead pizzing people off. Alcohol removed filters that she needed to keep on, and the others didn't put up with her. It would be great if the other wives just shunned Alyssa. Don't know when they get the first chance to break it up, but on MAFS Australia there were times a few weeks before the final decision where both could say it wasn't going to happen. Chris should bail as soon as he can. It's just my personal wondering, but if another couple doesn't work out before the final decision, I wonder if the show would ask Chris and her if they would like to go on some dates. That happened in Australia when two of the spouses cheated with each other, and the ones cheated on were asked if they'd like to date on the show's dime after the divorces were submitted.
I just feel like when people tell you something about themselves you have to give them the benefit of the doubt even if it’s something that you may not agree with you never know what that person was going through in a situation

I don't know if they get paid to go to a certain distance on the show but if I was Chris, I would gladly tell them no thank you to Alyssa and gladly refund them their money because it was very hard to watch them. Alyssa is the worst person ever. If you got all these vices, and you're going to marry somebody blind. Left that man sitting in the lobby sad and wondering what he did wrong. She just knew they were going to match her with the most attractive man in the world. LOL. Chris know she's treating him that way because she's not attracted to him and don't like him even though she don't know him. When they were on the honeymoon, Alyssa was standing on the rocks so close to Michael they could have been holding hands and when they were sitting down, she was almost on Michael's lap that is why Michael was the first person to point out how they were not interracting that much. All these couples got haters for family and friends...oh my goodness.

I feel like they should stop with the family and friends giving a "heads up" to the spouse. Be more positive and focus on the persons good qualities. Maybe after the honeymoon they can do the "heads up". First impressions are so important. And family telling the spouse all that negarive things throws them off and cause unecessary conflict. When you marry someone. Your don't owe their friends an explanation for anything. They are two consenting adults. If you are not going to be completely transparent with your friend's intentions, don't expect me to tell you my business. If a women was only marrying a man for his money and had a side piece, Her friends will be quiet as a church mouse but they'll interrogate him. That's why I say it's none of their business.

Very traditional, and mist dads of that age would be not supportive of thier middle age son just taking off n traveling for a year after he lost his job....and it was the pandemic.

MAFS is really getting formulaic. It's just too much actually. They badly need some creativity. Same conversations at wedding time, same friends asking if they'll have sex 1st night, same, parents giving them a negative start, same unbuttoning dress, same brushing teeth together, same clarifying of sleep status, same morning breath talk etc etc. And the experts come in to countdown to the day when the couples must decide whether they want to stay married -- or get a divorce. It's all or nothing but mostly nothing
I agree. If anyone knows anything about how an experiment works, you perform trials, when that phase of the experiment does not work, you go back and revise. Where is the revision bc clearly the format of each season is not boasting significant success.

Jasmina was so put off by Michael’s sisters telling her that Michael can have a negative point of view at times, but she has never dated anybody in her same city. That’s more concerning to me. That tells me that she may not know how to be in a real relationship because long distance relationships are not real. Not for a man anyway, in my opinion. Everything have to be planned, there’s little to no spontaneity with long distance relationships. She wasn’t listening to Michael in the hotel room and what he said made perfect sense to me.

So obviously Steve's dad is old school and apparently feels strongly about having a 9-5. So he called his son a vagabond. But let's be real a RUclipsr just a while back could have been called a vagabond, lol. Those that decided to become full-time RUclipsrs parents thought they were crazy. A lot of them are now millionaires.
Let's be honest, most 9-5 jobs pay the bills, make you a little comfortable, but having your own business can get you success quicker. That said, I think Steve will do just fine bringing home the bacon.
Now let's talk about Alyssa. I'm sick of the show letting people like her get away with their crap. The "professionals", Pastor Cal, Dr. Viviana, Dr. Pepper, or even production should step in at these times. Alyssa should not have been able to go on a free trip to PR. She has not tried to get to know her husband at all. Glad Keisha called her out on some of her bull on Afterparty. Keisha did the job the professionals and the show should have done.
I so agree with you about Steve and have never felt as concerned as everyone else about him being unemployed. I'm more worried about if he's really ready to settle down. He seems to be a responsible free spirited individual who wants to explore. I'm not so sure Noi is on the same page

Steve’s dad is from another era. Was free lancer even a word in his dad’s day? I think Steve has money and free lances from time to time. Free lancer is just a person that’s self employed.
I think Olajuwon could’ve handled the conversation with Jelani the way that Mile handled is conversation with Jasmina’s parents. Though Jelani was bring the strength in the room🤣…Olajuwon should’ve just took it as they were being “protective” over Katina. Olajuwon doesn’t like to be challenged by anyone.
I’m disappointed the experts or som marriage counselor didn’t step in at this moment. It’s cruel to allow this to happen without some support.
They refuse to ever come in and provide support. That is most likely why people suffer so much on these shows. There is no support and a snowball effect of problems pile on top of each other.
Does anyone know what the rules are for utilizing the experts? They should be on call 24-7. They should remove Alyssa from the show and bring in another potential match if Chris would be up for it. He seems like a nice guy and doesn't deserve to be treated like this by Alyssa or MAFS.

I feel the exact same way. The way Alyssa is treating Chris is so hurtful to me. Like I feel the pain through the TV. I think Steve not having a job is a problem. I’ve seen so many people online saying “He might be making $200,000 with each job,” which could be true. But from what I’m seeing he’s not pulling that type of money, because he would’ve said to Noi by now I can support you, myself, and future kids doing what I’m doing. And he could’ve left it at that.
I agreed with Michael. He was being realistic, while Jasmina was trying to pick a fight. What he said was true, you don’t know peoples’ boundaries when you meet them, so of course you may step on toes.

Steve's Father may be the root of Steve's problem because it appears that he probably could never get approval from his Father. It is despicable for a parent to trash their child on TV by calling them a vagabond. There is nothing wrong with Freelance work because you can be registered with agencies that send you out to different jobs which is very common for tradespeople; it is similar to contract work. Lindsay will keep embarrassing Mark and he will be apologizing and trying the clean up the mess many times over. Run Mark Run! Alyssa is not worth the time to discuss. It seems that all the contestants on this season have really messed up families because they are giving negative comments.
I don't think Steve's father was so much disparaging him as he was flatly describing who he is 🤷🏾♀️ Steve used to have a full time job and now does freelance work to prioritize travel. In itself, that's not a bad thing. But the fact that Steve REFUSED to answer what his future career plans are to both his wife and her family shows a huge level of immaturity. This man isn't ready for marriage, to have kids requires stability, so when your spouse asks for your career plans before y'all start having kids, you give them an answer not a round about excuse

It is up to Steve and Noi and it is certainly not my or your or the public's business. He didn't quit his job, there were lay off's so he decided to do some traveling; maybe he got a payout package, who knows. There are other people on the show who are without a job for example Alyssa said she used to work in Social Media but does not seem to be at present. Maybe the question should be, who can afford to take two months off there job without pay to go on the show? Very few companies will give you a leave-of-absent for two months to do a Reality Show. The only people who have that kind of freedom would be a teacher on summer break, someone who is self-employed like Chris the Realtor or someone who saved up money.

I totally understand what Steve is saying/not saying. My guess is:
His philosophy on life is different than others. He is more in line with the perspective of living his life, experiencing the world around him. He does not come off childish, immature or disorganized. The man did get degrees and has already worked in corporate America. I think he wants to be open to the possibilities of what can happen in life. Exploring. People in the west (who live in metropolitan cities) are often driven by work and capitalism. Whereas other places really focus on quality of life. I just think he is an awesome person who is brave to step out the box. He doesn't come off as someone who would let his children starve. And regarding her family, I think he didn't want the first time they had a detailed conversation about work/life to be on TV with her relatives. His lifestyle will come with challenges and sacrifice, but all lifestyles do...I wish them the best ❤

I wouldn't say Michael is a pessimist, I think he's stoic. Stoicism would be more realistic than pessimistic. They will see the jar with water and recognize that it is both half full and half empty. They prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

I agree with you 100% on your review of the couples. I am glad Chris is nice, but has a backbone! Alyssa sucks. They really need to have a second back up person (match)for ppl like in Chris situation, they won't be married, but can date the 8 weeks or whatever time is left to see if they want to move forward. Kinda like a consolation prize. Just thinking of how this could be less harmful emotionally, on the other hand, you take this chance when you sign up for a situation such as this.

Steve, in my opinion, is not ready for marriage, at least not in the traditional sense. He would have fit in with the flower Children of the 60s, who wandered the country in Volkswagen buses And Sold flowers and T-shirts. He either needs a nomad bride Or Needs to change his single-minded attitude and fall into the traditional role of husband and provider. I can even see Steve staying home to raise the kids while Noi worked, if she would put up with that. The 'fake-perts' Should have dismissed him As not qualified.
Michael did say he wanted a partner to challenge him but when Jasmina disagreed with his assessment, he questioned whether he should have asked for that type of person in the first place. This is one of those rare cases on the show when people ask for what they desire and get it, only find out it's not what they desire after all.. Michael and Jasmina appeared to be two opinionated people who see life from opposite ends of the spectrum. When Michael asked Jasmina's sisters what type of person she was, they replied "hold on!", And in the wedding her family said that she was a firecracker. "Boom boom"!
Im a retired RN of 21 yrs, I traveled, abd met alot of nurses, and alot of nurses do hav control issues, we hav to....also we learn really quick to stand our ground...BUT...its a thing I see in young nurses, we older ones learn to mellow out n pick our battles....I do wish we could hav heard that exchange...and known if she had alachol on board...cause she already has NO filter....and drinking alachol will just add to that.

Ten seconds into this video and I hit the Like button like it was the golden buzzer on America's Got Talent. Noi's family should have gone deeper and asked Steve about the hidden income items a company would provide. Having a baby while on Medicaid is not preferable. Does Noi have medical coverage? I also was searching and couldn't find where he's living at 38 (4th episode is first I saw). I think what happened on the plane with Lindsay was the proverbial drunk too much butthead pizzing people off. Alcohol removed filters that she needed to keep on, and the others didn't put up with her. It would be great if the other wives just shunned Alyssa. Don't know when they get the first chance to break it up, but on MAFS Australia there were times a few weeks before the final decision where both could say it wasn't going to happen. Chris should bail as soon as he can. It's just my personal wondering, but if another couple doesn't work out before the final decision, I wonder if the show would ask Chris and her if they would like to go on some dates. That happened in Australia when two of the spouses cheated with each other, and the ones cheated on were asked if they'd like to date on the show's dime after the divorces were submitted.
I just feel like when people tell you something about themselves you have to give them the benefit of the doubt even if it’s something that you may not agree with you never know what that person was going through in a situation

I don't know if they get paid to go to a certain distance on the show but if I was Chris, I would gladly tell them no thank you to Alyssa and gladly refund them their money because it was very hard to watch them. She just knew they were going to match her with the most attractive man in the world. LOL. When they were on the honeymoon, Alyssa was standing on the rocks so close to Michael they could have been holding hands and when they were sitting down, she was almost on Michael's lap that is why Michael was the first person to point out how they were not interracting that much. I feel like they should stop with the family and friends giving a "heads up" to the spouse. Be more positive and focus on the persons good qualities. Maybe after the honeymoon they can do the "heads up". First impressions are so important. And family telling the spouse all that negarive things throws them off and cause unecessary conflict. Like Alyssa...she was already wasn't feeling her husband on the attraction level and then his friends start off on how he is condesending and that just completely shut her off and she didn't even give him a chance.
I soooo agree!!! I said the very same thing! This season the family’s were stirring up a lot of unnecessary drama. And it made things go in a bad direction especially for Chris , mike. And Steve 🤦🏾♀️

Steve has money saved to live off of. Didn't they say he use to work in tech? I think traditional 9-5 doesn't work for everyone. As long as he can hold up his end financially, I don't see a problem with him not being traditionally employed.
Yeah Alyssa definitely isn’t being honest about her intentions OR LACK thereof. I think that Jasmine is looking for faults in her husband to just have conflicts for conflict sake. That's is how she is accustom striving in relationships, only in conflict ; I believe. She seems to me to be a silent Alyssa.
We definitely don't want to watch Alyssa and Chris this whole season. They need some backup couples for the instant unattracted couples. Also, we know y'all are making money off of MAFS. Put these couples on private jets bc this is the 2nd time we missed some good plane footage.
Steve said he's doing some free Lance work....and I think as much as he wants a family, he will be a good provider....also his father is obv. Very traditional, and mist dads of that age would be not supportive of thier middle age son just taking off n traveling for a year after he lost his job....and it was the pandemic.
