Good grief! I thought I kept up with the music scene and this talented artist simply snuck under my radar! I hope he has a long and wonderful career in the industry. I hope I do not get shot down for the following comment but it is hugely complimentary: as I listened to this song, something kept niggling at my inner ear. Then I went and checked. Listen to Bruce Springsteen's "Under Western Stars" from about 1 minute into the song. For those who like bandwagons, I am not suggesting a copy. As I said, it is a compliment to be compared with one of the greatest musicians ever.
