To be a legend you must be dead, a nod to time & history will tell. He's a living legend (in your mind) currently, perhaps.

Was barely related to what makes people happy, but interesting discussion nonetheless

Linear models outperform human judgements is stated. What is not stated is that they outperform it in the dimension of interest of the scientist, possibly without weighing tradeoffs in other areas. Having a choice of A: taking 200$ and walking away compared to B: taking a gamble of winning 100$, with 50% probability and then repeat choosing between A and B again, a linear regression model, and possibly AI, would suggest that B would be a better decision, at all times. Nevertheless, there are further inferences that explain those "erroneous" people who choose A, after some invocations of the dilemma, like the desire to go for a coffee, to rest, to avoid an addiction, they don't need that money etc. Those are proper humane decisions in a non utilitarian fashion, and deviating from a linear regression.

there is a computer science field on Algorimic bias. Algorithms are created by humans and the data that we feed into the machine learning algorithms amplify those biases.

Machine judgement versus human judgement. Machines work off larger data sets and their algorithms are noise free but machines decisions lack in empathy, hope and love. Perhaps humans working congruently with machines is the best solution.

Or we finally translate empathy and love into hard technical terms, which i think we already can

Poor title. This doesnt even address what makes people happy. Its about AI and how computers make ' better unbiased decisions '

the video name is a proof of HUman decision are biased , as a field approach algorithms are interesting than HUman decisions but in Reality its a chaotic system which requires only machines , so Terminator is coming lolz

Emphasis and meaning, and value of life satisfaction applies across the board for Israelis AND Palestinians. Perhaps this can be put to some good use instead of endless academic talks.
Using the losers and winner debate - that "losers fight harder than winners", using that analogy Israel clearly knows that they are fighting harder (as we see from ever recurring disproportionate over the top violence for violence sake from the Jewish state - as witnessed by the world recently (10 dead on Israel side vs. 220 on Palestinian side).
Thinking dynamically, society HAS to respond as to how we are going to bring about change and to do something now.
What does the algorithm say? seeing that human thinking is so bad in this complex situation. Many say humans have empathy, compassion A.I. does not yet we so not see that humanitarian way of thinking and action on the ground with an oppressed people the Palestinians being denied free access to education, to employment opportunities, even freedom of movement. It is beyond shocking to oppress people in ghettos such as is happening in Palestinian territory. The Jewish state and Jewish people everywhere ABOVE all others know the horror that this is and MUST react with their OWN humanity to the forefront, that THIS IS WRONG and must all call for change NOW. Seeking to oppress another people is reprehensible and must not continue.
Employing linear algorithms that are doing better than humans to come up with a solution. A.I. is making judgements better than humans we hear in this talk. The fact also that this employment of A.I. is going to happen in major decisions...surely there is nothing more major than saving lives. Regarding evaluations within an organization, whether a merger, an acquisition,' a peace process', leadership, organizations, hiring decisions surely employing some of this adds something to finding at a minimum the best people for the job sitting at the table.
As noted here 'Not optimistic in relation to changing human nature', so surely this should be given a chance. Algorithms are noise free - in comparison to ALL the noise making on the ground. Israel was all about the noise - refusing Egypts offer to cease-fire initially (only relenting when under worldwide condemnation for their over the top, heavy-handedness, disproportionate violence toward the Palestinians). So A.I. surely is an improvement over humans. Anything is better than resorting to more violence as it continues to escalate senselessly, mercilessly, endlessly.
With now 1800 Palestinian homes demolished, (surely that is a war crime) we don't need algorithms to tell us what our eyes can see, that enough is enough, that a people are being oppressed, bombarded with guns and violence in their own homes. We must come to the table, put all solutions forth, employ every resource available to come to a resolution.
Incursions into Palestinian territory, illegal building of Jewish settlements on Palestinian land, is too much for a people to have to witness and bear. Jewish state has more weaponry and more power THEREFORE they are the ones to put forward PEACE measures FIRST, they must (yet they are NEVER the ones first out of the gate in peace matters, why?) They are NOT to use their power to bully and to do evil - destroying peoples homes and businesses, killing children 66 and women shocking.. Surely the Jewish people know what destroys and takes away the fabric of a people. Jewish people everywhere should call for an end to the destruction of Palestinians lands, homes, livelihood, their rights to have equal access to education, employment opportunities, freedom of movement.
Palestinian is the ONLY place left on earth where these atrocities occurs. This is wrong, unconscionable. Every Jewish person based on your own history of your own people must not stand silently by and allow this.

losers and winners... disappointing words followed by more disappointing sentences. How can this person talk about happiness and how can people listen?
