OobaTech #21 - How To Keep Your Kenmore Refrigerator's Ice Dispenser From Clogging Up

In this video, Bobby shows you a simple trick to help keep the ice dispenser of your Kenmore model 106.56546401 refrigerator from clogging up with ice. If your ice dispenser frequently clogs up with ice, preventing more ice from being dispensed later, the reason may be because you use crushed ice.
The trick is to dispense crushed ice into your container, and instead of stopping there, switch the dispenser to un-crushed ice mode, then top off your container with a little un-crushed ice to clear all of the crushed ice out of the passageway between the ice bucket in the freezer and the exit of the ice dispenser. Un-crushed ice will then remain in the passageway. This un-crushed ice is much less likely to melt and then refreeze into a solid chunk of ice than crushed ice. Topping off with un-crushed ice should keep your ice dispenser from ever clogging up again!
