What's most heartwarming is the meaning behind the number 9 The8 gave Mingyu when they were at the photo sticker station. Everyone knows how Minghao chose The8 as his stage name right? Because when laid horizontally, the 8 turns into an infinity sign as well as being super lucky in Chinese superstition. But the number 9 in Chinese is pronounces the same way as the word for "long lasting” or“eternity". The way Minghao gave that number to Mingyu just sums up his appreciation for his friend. Their friendship is something I truly hope lasts forever.
The reason i read somewhere was that the pronunciation of 9 was like “gyu” in japanese, but the one you pointed out makes a lot more of sense, since chinese it’s Minghao’s first language.. And it’s just so precious!!!!! Thank you very much for sharing this information with me, because i didn’t know and it warmed my heart. 💕💕 I do too hope this friendship lasts forever, because they look great and comfortable together

Makes me think about how during a radio interview Minghao talked about becoming really close with Mingyu’s dad too, to the point that they would meet up and eat together without even telling Mingyu lmaoo
And Mingyu’s dad said to minghao, “since your parents are not here with you, consider us as your parents.”
He also asked minghao, “Take care of Mingyu, ok?”
Yes!!!! It was so sweet to know this, that Mingyu's parents have such a consideration for Minghao. It just show us how gyuhao's bond is really strong and that Mingyu's father acknowledge that and wants to make Minghao feel as comfortable as possible in Korea. It's super endearing.

The thing minghao said there, I can relate to that so much. I don't know if mingyu is insecure about having a darker skin but I am lol and if someone genuinely admires my looks like he did to mingyu it really touches my heart
i think mingyu was insecure about his skin, but now not so much anymore. we all have our insecurities, but it's good mingyu is overcoming his. i hope you too can be confident about your skin, although i know it's not always easy, but i'm sure it's beautiful!! sending you lots of love ❤️

Shocks. I just cried , watching this. Bcs of two reasons , 1st im too happy for the both of them that despite of the environment they live , they have each other to lean on. A friend that you can talked all your worries , doubts , problems and dreams. But the 2nd reason why I cry coz I never have this kind of frndship, yes I have close frnds. But I have always been the "3rd wheel" and it hurts that your just an option.
i know how it hurts to be the third wheel, because i have been there myself, but maybe instead of trying to find one friend to share everything, you could share a little with each of the ones you have. Like, mingyu is not minghao’s only friend in seventeen, we see him hanging out with the other boys a lot too. I guess when it comes to dancing, for example, he will talk about it with hoshi or jun. what i’m trying to say, it’s that sometimes we have this idea of one and only best friend with whom we’ll share all, when in reality we can have lots of best friends and bond with them in different ways.

necanicnics one advise is don’t try too hard a connection comes naturally with someone if u feel like ur a third wheel or not getting that person just leave. Make sure ur always happy with ur own presence and never feel needed and when someone does come to ur life welcome it if its good if it doesn’t bye simple never do the most for someone don’t waste ur energy.
