Great combination - branch line trains and snow. Reminds me of when I'd wait a couple hours at trackside in the snow for a branch run back in the '60s when in my teens.
Great video! Thank you for putting up with the winter weather so we can enjoy the beauty of it from the comfort of home. Your videos are fantastic! Have a Merry Christmas.
Nice video. That is some terrible track. I’m surprised they don’t put more cars on the ground. Hopefully CSX will at least get it up to class ll standards.
I find it funny that 3011 is back on it's old home rails, similar to the leasers on Irving that used to serve on PAR. It's too bad to see the work at the Jay mill but at least part of it will get a new use
Most GP40-2LWs have K3Ls( those around here still do ), but CPKC that upgraded Theirs to GP40-3LW( so to speak,GP40-3 ), has K5LA-R24 Horns. So for CSX to give these PAM AM ones K5LA-R24 horns is a neat and nice change.
CSX buying Pan Am is a bad purchase. This railroad will slowly destroy the small businesses like they do every where else on their system. They do NOT belong in the New England area at all.
First you can't tell them what they can and can't do second they can run wherever they need to. Also I'll bet you wouldn't say that about any other clas 1 buying Panam but it's in the past leave it alone.
@@seaboardsystemproductions9714 All Class 1's are the same. Screw the small customers over until they switch to trucks. CSX killed off Midcoast Rail serve. They had customers lined up, but CSX didn't want to run to Brunswick to grab 10 cars or less per week, so they intentionally gave unreasonable rates to scare them off.
PanAm was going to go out of business if it didn’t get acquired. They were letting things rot away up here. CSX has done a TON… a TON of renovations and improvements up here already, rigby yard actually looks halfway decent now, new signaling equipment, new communication gear. It’s a huge huge improvement
Great catches awesome chase and nice video

Sweet video! I Love that part of the run! You had quite a bit of Snow cover there! Awesome video! Totally enjoyed it!
Nice video.Greetings from Italy.

Great Video.Merry Christmas.
Nicely done! 👍
I hope CSX will repaint that GP40-2LW. A Canadian wide cab would look really good in YN3 I think.
Sure would.
It’s not gonna stay on CSX

With the potential of ND shutting down that mill like they did Old Town, I wouldn't hold my breath. Sadly.

Oh the 3011 got delivered

Is the set of Rumford Branch trains a good bet for somebody wanting to find the fallen flag power?
Yes, I would say about 3/4 of the time they have blue wide cabs for at least one.
Awesome! Is there a rough schedule they adhere to?
@@floridarailfan Usually 0800 od at Rileys Sunday through Friday, alternating on if they go to Rumford or Leeds.
Great, thank you for the help!
So does CSX sit and wait for them to switch? Or will they just move over to that outbound consist and take right off?
There is already an outbound consist waiting that MSS has prepared in a previous day.
when do they work the mill with the geep?
Maine Switching Services is not a CSX company, so it is a completely different crew. They work every weekday afaik.

Pan Am had already done a pretty good job of that up here.

@@TBone-McGlaughlinhe’s right in that CSX doesn’t want small jobs and to run empties around.
