@@BlueLineVibes Hey! I've recently installed LSPDFR again, and when going to the mods folder for dlc packs, i only have a few files there. And when I try to install vehicle packs to the mod file they do not show up in the slots inside simple trainer, any idea on what I may have done wrong?
finally got it to stop crashing and cars are in but cant use lights or sirens and radio is stuck on for some reason. im using the same pack as you but a lot of my stuff is really bugged out.
Make sure you have installed the latest AdvancedHook.dll - it got updated in June 2024 for the first time in over 6 years. That is found on the ELS download page that is seperate from ELS download. Just replace your other AdvancedHook in main game directory. Make sure that your SCROLL LOCK key at the top of your keyboard is not ON. Make sure you have installed your ELS files per vehicle you are using in the pack_default folder. Then make sure you have the latest Script Hook V release linked in pinned and description. hey man! so for some reason, on startup LSPDFR.dll always crashes. I tried doing the "_mods" thing and it worked. Though, the only mods I have in the mods folder are probably the cars only. Everything else is in the game directory. Do you know why? I haven't modded this game for 2 years now I forgot hella stuff :D
when i take out the .yft files and rename them to sheriff or sheriff2, then put them in patchday 28ng, the textures show up rainbow and it doesn't work. do you know what im missing? i really love this pack and i want it to be the default edit: fixed it, forgot the .ytd and hi files. make sure to get all file types with that name, and the hi (high texture) ones from the sheriff pack. also make sure you change the els files to sheriff or sheriff2 according to their corresponding car. (if you made 18charger sheriff, then change the els files accordingly)
tried doing this one but the same pack i downloaded didn't have any yft files. all it could find was the xml, it just shows a dlc file when i go on that same folder you did to get the yft files for the cars
Author updated his pack, no longer has replacement vehicles anymore. You would just install the folder as a DLC pack which has the rpf file. For example Sheriff
i know this unrelated to this video but just a sugjestion, can you take a look at gta4 lcpdfr? and make videos on how to mod it? that be pretty cool. united orange does gta4 content and it gets alot of views. just not many pepole helping moding it.

Correct, but you need to look at that Handling ID forum thread to help identify a suitable handling ID for the Durango. Follow that link and you will thank me later. @@BlueLineVibes I seen it, thankfully, I got the Advanced Hook. One issue I'm having is that the lights on all vehicles seem to be stuck on? There are a large variety of lights stuck on at all times. I can play the siren sound normally, but there are additional lights I can't toggle. They stay on (no flashing) in and out of the vehicle, too. How would I go about fixing that issue?
pack_default folder is there if you installed ELS. The only way it is not there, is that you either did not install it correctly, OR the file is hidden as you do not have "hidden items" checked off in your view settings in File Explorer. Reinstall ELS again, see what you get. If you don't see it again, then check your View settings in your file explorer. For more help drop by our discord or post on the lspdfr.com forums
I installed the pack but my els lighting is not coming on, works on the normal gta car, but on the dlc add on the tails only blink. any idea on what it could be.?
I downloaded a car pack the other day and most vehicles are fine, it’s an ELS car pack and also the top one in most downloaded on LSPDFR page, think it’s California highway. Some of the vehicles have strange graphics like licence plates zoomed and distorted on roof. And a charger spawns in all pink with weird lettering on it. Any ideas what may have caused this ?

Hey so, i got all of the cars in all correctly like the lights work and stuff but for some reason that little menu you have in the corner of the screen when you get in the cop car it doesn't pop up for me. Do you have any suggestions or a fix?
Hey, i just installed that from your tutorial (1:1) and ad other car but none of these are working. like they are in gamr but lights are not working correctly. When i am entering vechicle they are on a "full light" even they are off. and they are no switching. only sound works and red back basic lights. What i did wrong?

I tried adding some of these and now it won’t load the game it’s stuck at waiting for game window .. I’ve been trying to get this to work for two days now, granted I’m new but I’ve followed everything you said to do and had it working with stop the per yesterday
not sure if i missed anything but after installing everything is fine i can spawn in my cars and use els but everything is weirdly bright. not just lights, everything is like neon. any fix?
Could be a few issues going on. Hard to take into account people's graphics mods and if they installed Reshade or other graphic elements. Did you install the Better Radiance? Or did you install a different visualsetting file? Which graphic mod do you have installed? Is it default GTA graphics or Visual Vanilla, VisualV, NVE, CoreFX, QuantV? Point is, they all have different visualsettings and it might depend when you installed the Better Radiance. Did you install it before a graphics mod? After a Graphics mod? TLDR: If you have reshade - adjust your presets. If you don't have reshade, uninstall whatever graphics mod you have and see if that helps. You might have to reinstall the Better Radiance if you uninstall your graphics mod. For more help drop by our discord.

can you only have 2 vehicles in at a time??? cause i put them all in, but then go and type "spawn sherriff or sheriff 2" and only the first two i installed show up.
I really dunno whats wrong, i did everything right i have cars in game but when i shoot into the glass the glass wont break and it wasnt only with this car pack, it was even with differnet car packs.
You are doing nothing wrong. Some car modders do not make them that way. Others do, not sure why car modders do that, probably has a lot to do with how they create the car mods.
@@lastcobracz2447 Probably by asking the modder "Hey Fix Your models" something like that. But seriously, it is on the car modder, not you. In other words, The car modder who made the car, should have made those corrections in Zmodeler before releasing the pack. Same with other car packs as well. It happens sometimes, most times it's done correctly.
I am currently trying to install the LSPD addon pack that you included in the description. I followed every step from the video here and followed everything in the read me. All the other mods work but the car pack. I am not sure if it only worked for you because you replaced the files do you know what is happening?
Hey just a quick question. I’m not asking for a trouble shoot or anything but after I followed everything it crashed and I attempted to mess with the gameconfig and removing the sheriff pack. Do you think this happened because of the update?
More than likely yes. Everytime there is a new update, a new Gameconfig is required to go into the mods folder. Also Script Hook V was released today with a bug and will need to be fixed before ELS starts working properly again.
So is the fix just wait for the mods to be updated and replace the files bc I’m experiencing the same problem the game crashes on startup no matter what I do
Hi! Everything has worked except the sheriff pack that was copied from the read me into dlclist.xml. game crashes on loading. But if I remove only that part, the game loads and I can spawn in the vic I replaced as a sheriff vic. Any idea what the issue might be. Been working on this for about 8 hours now

@@BlueLineVibes it was the gameconfig, I completely spaced it when I was installing it. when I watched your vid I thought that the config was only to change the traffic volume in game, didnt relize it was important to the mod pack.
so I did everything to the letter. added the code to the line in open4 and then game starts up fine, runs just fine, but no cars. still all the original stock game ones. help please.
I spawned the car but when i get it, theres like two blue lights that are lit up and when i go to turn on the police lights, its just a siren, no red and blue or anything
Sure, its optimized for Win 11. Most of us are on 11 now. You might consider white listing the GTA 5 folder though as it could be windows defender blocking certain files.
hey guys so i have this car pack on lspdfr but the els wont work for me at all but i do have a pack of FSP pack and els works just fine for it idk what did work but it just wont work for me
Probably the XML files. If another ELS vehicle is working on a different pack, and this is not working. Double check that you have installed the XML files which pertains to the vehicle in question.
I have done this step by step, and I keep getting an error that says my game ran out of memory. I take the pack out and whatnot and the issue isn’t there.
Disable Battleeye if you haven't already done so. Most people "think" they did this, but find out it is still enabled. I have a video on how to do it on the channel if you haven't watched it. Just type it in search on the channel. Launch in STORY MODE first, as the game is connecting to Social Club, ALT TAB out of game to desktop and launch RageHook, then ALT TAB back into game, if it says Launch in story mode then click on that, if not, just ALT TAB back into GTA 5 and see if it loads. I install this but the sheriff is working and no sign of police lettering in the car its just the white charger and black suv but the lspd car pack doesnt work so i put the file into sheriff pack and its work but you cant see them in npc driving the police car only works the sheriff the charger and suv but the lspd car pack does not work and after 1hour the lspd crash
Sorry, but are you asking for help? Or are you stating your fix for others? Car pack works 100%, responding units works 100% if you know how to set up your defaultregions.xml and customregions.xml for your backup in your Ultimate Backup folder. Just replace the vehicle names with the new DLC car pack if you want. For more help visit my discord.
The sheriff pack are just working fine and i can see the npc police driving it but the lspd car pack wont work if i just type it to respawn it, shown i just want the npc police too to drive that vehicle
Probably an ELS issue. Double check that you have installed the ELS xml files correctly in the right folder for the correct vehicle and also make sure that you downloaded the Advancedhook.dll new update. Sounds like the issue to me.
I did step by step but at the end when i add car models to openiv ... i get error message saying can not add files... edit mode is on and all asi is installed please help
Drag folder from your zip or rar file to the desktop first. Or you can extract the file to desktop, same thing. 1. Turn on Edit mode 2. Open the folder of the car pack on your desktop 3. Click in the white area of OpenIV, doesn't matter where, it is to activate the window of OpenIV 4. Now try and drag things into OpenIV
I followed multiple tutorials and the readme.txt, but it still does not work. I dont see any added vehicles in the game. I installed gameconfig/heapadjuster/packfilelimitadjuster/advancedhookv/scripthookv/ResourceAdjuster. please help

Trainer is Simple Trainer - More info here and a ton of useful tips, as always I am detailed enough so that you can pick it up right away. i installed els but there is no els folder in the main game directory do you know how to fix that and i reinstalled it multiple times and it still did not work
Maybe Check your View settings in File Explorer. Open a folder and press View > Show more make sure Hidden items is checked off. If that doesn't work, it's your Firewall or AV blocking install

Very cool video. You explain the steps really good. But I have question: can I change the color of the cars? My Models are white or light grey and not black like in the video.
Temporarily go to Simple Trainer - Vehicle Options > go down to vehicle color. Go to Metallic, arrow to one color from black (doesn't matter the direction) then back to black.
Nah still works 100% - make sure your ASI managers are installed, make sure you have heap adjuster, pack limiter and a proper game config for your game version installed. Adjust your heapadjuster settings to maybe 2000 if you have 16g of ram or more etc. Works good
@@BlueLineVibes you transfer the sherif pack into dls pack but also copy the sherif add line but I guess they are different things, I’ve noticed some car mods I dload don’t have the file add line or file to add to dlc pack or the replace and rename files but instead a folder with carvarioations and carmeta, I guess these are all different ways of installing car mods?
@@robertroy6 DLC Addon Car Packs require a DLC list line. This is a must if you want the cars to spawn into the game. Replacement is just replacing, there is no need for a DLC list line as they just replace the names of the vehicles already in the game.
Hey, another great video! i can only get like 9 add-on vehicles in my game. i put all the files you mention (heap adjuster, packfile, etc.) in my gta directory but as soon as i change the game config, my game just crashes on start up. it doesnt even matter what config i use whether its stock(game base) or one of the other ones. as soon as i change it everything just shits itself... Am i doing something wrong? thanks.
I am the same way actually, you can try and research the pack limit adjuster for a proper value so that it will allow more addons, however I was unable to find a great one as it would eventually crash my game.
Looks like the maker of the vehicle pack updated his car pack. Probably not an official replace version anymore. Just do what I do and take them out of the DLC pack and just rename them to fit different slots.
maybe increase your heap adjuster. If you have 16 gigs of ram or more, change your heap settings to 2000. Double check you installed the new gameconfig and pack limiter as well.

Are you pulling the folder to your desktop? Try that first, if it won't let you pull it to desktop, maybe download WinRar or that other program called 7-zip. Click inside OpenIV (anywhere in the white) now try to pull the folder to the DLC pathway
Launch GTA in STORY mode first. When at landing page, ALT TAB - then click on RageHook, then Tab back into the game and then click on Story Mode. If that doesn't work, post in our discord. Hard to help over RUclips comments
i did everything by your tutorials but when AdvancedHookV.dll is in the directory my game crashes, as soon as i remove it and start the game it freezes, do you know any fix for that

why dosent the sheriffpack not show up in my dlcpacks

Once you do that, you can start GTA in story mode and as it is launching into Social Club - ALT tab fast and click on RageHook and then go back into story mode. Helps

One issue I'm having is that the lights on all vehicles seem to be stuck on? There are a large variety of lights stuck on at all times. I can play the siren sound normally, but there are additional lights I can't toggle. They stay on (no flashing) in and out of the vehicle, too. How would I go about fixing that issue?

I download the ELS file and for some reason, I can't find the pack_default in it. I went through ELS and it was not there for me
pack_default folder is there if you installed ELS. The only way it is not there, is that you either did not install it correctly, OR the file is hidden as you do not have "hidden items" checked off in your view settings in File Explorer. Reinstall ELS again, see what you get. If you don't see it again, then check your View settings in your file explorer. For more help drop by our discord or post on the lspdfr.com forums

I downloaded a car pack the other day and most vehicles are fine, it’s an ELS car pack and also the top one in most downloaded on LSPDFR page, think it’s California highway. Some of the vehicles have strange graphics like licence plates zoomed and distorted on roof. And a charger spawns in all pink with weird lettering on it. Any ideas what may have caused this ?

Hey, i just installed that from your tutorial (1:1) and ad other car but none of these are working. like they are in gamr but lights are not working correctly. When i am entering vechicle they are on a "full light" even they are off. and they are no switching. only sound works and red back basic lights. What i did wrong?

not sure if i missed anything but after installing everything is fine i can spawn in my cars and use els but everything is weirdly bright. not just lights, everything is like neon. any fix?
Could be a few issues going on. Hard to take into account people's graphics mods and if they installed Reshade or other graphic elements. Did you install the Better Radiance? Or did you install a different visualsetting file? Which graphic mod do you have installed? Is it default GTA graphics or Visual Vanilla, VisualV, NVE, CoreFX, QuantV? Point is, they all have different visualsettings and it might depend when you installed the Better Radiance. Did you install it before a graphics mod? After a Graphics mod?
TLDR: If you have reshade - adjust your presets. If you don't have reshade, uninstall whatever graphics mod you have and see if that helps. You might have to reinstall the Better Radiance if you uninstall your graphics mod. For more help drop by our discord.

I really dunno whats wrong, i did everything right i have cars in game but when i shoot into the glass the glass wont break and it wasnt only with this car pack, it was even with differnet car packs.
You are doing nothing wrong. Some car modders do not make them that way. Others do, not sure why car modders do that, probably has a lot to do with how they create the car mods.

@@lastcobracz2447 Probably by asking the modder "Hey Fix Your models" something like that. But seriously, it is on the car modder, not you. In other words, The car modder who made the car, should have made those corrections in Zmodeler before releasing the pack. Same with other car packs as well. It happens sometimes, most times it's done correctly.

I am currently trying to install the LSPD addon pack that you included in the description. I followed every step from the video here and followed everything in the read me. All the other mods work but the car pack. I am not sure if it only worked for you because you replaced the files do you know what is happening?

Hey just a quick question. I’m not asking for a trouble shoot or anything but after I followed everything it crashed and I attempted to mess with the gameconfig and removing the sheriff pack. Do you think this happened because of the update?
More than likely yes. Everytime there is a new update, a new Gameconfig is required to go into the mods folder. Also Script Hook V was released today with a bug and will need to be fixed before ELS starts working properly again.
So is the fix just wait for the mods to be updated and replace the files bc I’m experiencing the same problem the game crashes on startup no matter what I do

Hi! Everything has worked except the sheriff pack that was copied from the read me into dlclist.xml. game crashes on loading. But if I remove only that part, the game loads and I can spawn in the vic I replaced as a sheriff vic. Any idea what the issue might be. Been working on this for about 8 hours now

@@BlueLineVibes it was the gameconfig, I completely spaced it when I was installing it. when I watched your vid I thought that the config was only to change the traffic volume in game, didnt relize it was important to the mod pack.
so I did everything to the letter. added the code to the line in open4 and then game starts up fine, runs just fine, but no cars. still all the original stock game ones. help please.

Sure, its optimized for Win 11. Most of us are on 11 now. You might consider white listing the GTA 5 folder though as it could be windows defender blocking certain files.

Probably the XML files. If another ELS vehicle is working on a different pack, and this is not working. Double check that you have installed the XML files which pertains to the vehicle in question.

I have done this step by step, and I keep getting an error that says my game ran out of memory. I take the pack out and whatnot and the issue isn’t there.

Disable Battleeye if you haven't already done so. Most people "think" they did this, but find out it is still enabled. I have a video on how to do it on the channel if you haven't watched it. Just type it in search on the channel.
Launch in STORY MODE first, as the game is connecting to Social Club, ALT TAB out of game to desktop and launch RageHook, then ALT TAB back into game, if it says Launch in story mode then click on that, if not, just ALT TAB back into GTA 5 and see if it loads.

I install this but the sheriff is working and no sign of police lettering in the car its just the white charger and black suv but the lspd car pack doesnt work so i put the file into sheriff pack and its work but you cant see them in npc driving the police car only works the sheriff the charger and suv but the lspd car pack does not work and after 1hour the lspd crash
Sorry, but are you asking for help? Or are you stating your fix for others? Car pack works 100%, responding units works 100% if you know how to set up your defaultregions.xml and customregions.xml for your backup in your Ultimate Backup folder. Just replace the vehicle names with the new DLC car pack if you want. For more help visit my discord.

Probably an ELS issue. Double check that you have installed the ELS xml files correctly in the right folder for the correct vehicle and also make sure that you downloaded the Advancedhook.dll new update. Sounds like the issue to me.
Is this also applicable for FiveM/RP Servers?
I did step by step but at the end when i add car models to openiv ... i get error message saying can not add files... edit mode is on and all asi is installed

Drag folder from your zip or rar file to the desktop first. Or you can extract the file to desktop, same thing.
1. Turn on Edit mode
2. Open the folder of the car pack on your desktop
3. Click in the white area of OpenIV, doesn't matter where, it is to activate the window of OpenIV
4. Now try and drag things into OpenIV

i installed els but there is no els folder in the main game directory do you know how to fix that and i reinstalled it multiple times and it still did not work
Maybe Check your View settings in File Explorer. Open a folder and press View > Show more make sure Hidden items is checked off. If that doesn't work, it's your Firewall or AV blocking install

Very cool video. You explain the steps really good. But I have question: can I change the color of the cars? My Models are white or light grey and not black like in the video.
Temporarily go to Simple Trainer - Vehicle Options > go down to vehicle color. Go to Metallic, arrow to one color from black (doesn't matter the direction) then back to black.

Nah still works 100% - make sure your ASI managers are installed, make sure you have heap adjuster, pack limiter and a proper game config for your game version installed. Adjust your heapadjuster settings to maybe 2000 if you have 16g of ram or more etc. Works good

@@BlueLineVibes you transfer the sherif pack into dls pack but also copy the sherif add line but I guess they are different things, I’ve noticed some car mods I dload don’t have the file add line or file to add to dlc pack or the replace and rename files but instead a folder with carvarioations and carmeta, I guess these are all different ways of installing car mods?
@@robertroy6 DLC Addon Car Packs require a DLC list line. This is a must if you want the cars to spawn into the game.
Replacement is just replacing, there is no need for a DLC list line as they just replace the names of the vehicles already in the game.

Hey, another great video! i can only get like 9 add-on vehicles in my game. i put all the files you mention (heap adjuster, packfile, etc.) in my gta directory but as soon as i change the game config, my game just crashes on start up. it doesnt even matter what config i use whether its stock(game base) or one of the other ones. as soon as i change it everything just shits itself... Am i doing something wrong? thanks.
I am the same way actually, you can try and research the pack limit adjuster for a proper value so that it will allow more addons, however I was unable to find a great one as it would eventually crash my game.

I don't see the replace pack inside of the sheriff pack only the sheriff pack blue.
Looks like the maker of the vehicle pack updated his car pack. Probably not an official replace version anymore. Just do what I do and take them out of the DLC pack and just rename them to fit different slots.

maybe increase your heap adjuster. If you have 16 gigs of ram or more, change your heap settings to 2000. Double check you installed the new gameconfig and pack limiter as well.

Are you pulling the folder to your desktop? Try that first, if it won't let you pull it to desktop, maybe download WinRar or that other program called 7-zip. Click inside OpenIV (anywhere in the white) now try to pull the folder to the DLC pathway
