  • Many people find it difficult to believe that God wants them well. They may be suffering personally or perhaps watching a loved one endure sickness and pain. In either case, they become discouraged after their prayers seemingly go unanswered. They then conclude that God must be allowing this to happen, or worse, that He has caused it. Both are wrong and both bring into question the goodness of God. In this series, Andrew shares the truth of what God's unconditional love and grace has already provided. Healing is a big part of that provision. He answers many common questions including those about Paul's thorn in the flesh, the sovereignty of God and more. If you or someone you know is in need of healing, then this is for you.

Many even believe you just can't know God's will-that in His sovereignty, He will make it happen regardless of what you do. Too long this viewpoint has kept Christians from knowing the full potential He planned for them. But no more. God created you with a specific purpose, and the good news is, He wants you to find it. This insightful teaching will guide you on your path to find, follow and fulfill God's will in your life.

02:17 You have to look at healing as a part of Christ's atonement, not just an add on or an optional benefit that you could get at salvation.
07:25 God is absolutely the top of the food chain, he is the head.
09:58 Verse 28, it says, we know that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose,
12:38 In 1 peter, chapter 5, it says, humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He might exalt you in due time.
16:49 In 2 Timothy, chapter 3, in verse 12, yea all those who will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Amen Sir. I get a bit rattled when persons claim "a thorn in the flesh" or compares themselves to Job -- the richest man in the East at that time, who had ten children, perfect and upright etc. And thank God for emphasizing the "God is in control" - putting it in proper perspective. Thank you for trying to explain it. Like you said... using partial scripture -- or, using scripture perversely. The devil comes to steal, to kill and to destroy... Lord, help us Jesus. God is good. His mercy is everlasting... Blessings! Thank you Sir Andrew.

This is a really great teaching and so essential. It gets a little graphic around one part but it's to illustrate a point.

Here are seven ways you can join me in prayer for Ukraine.
Pray for the president and leaders of Ukraine to have wisdom in the coming days.
Pray for wisdom, strength, and courage for the soldiers who are protecting Ukraine.
Pray for civilians who have been displaced and for families who have been separated from each other as they have sought safety.
Pray for those still seeking shelter, that God would give them clarity and wisdom in making hasty decisions.
Pray for Ukrainians to seek and find the peace and hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ during this time.
Pray for Ukrainian believers to find comfort, peace, and strength in God and share the source of their strength with others.
Pray for God to enable the churches and missionaries of Ukraine to care for their people.

Yes. God does want us well! But he may allow things for him to be glorified by the healing. In John 11, the disciples were told that the man was born blind for Jesus to be glorified by his healing. This applies to all men, since the disciples were asking about the principle behind the situation. Otherwise, who would have hope if it was just for that one man and what would be the point? So God had only him born blind so Jesus could heal only him? How would that encourage anyone that they also could be healed? God allows the problem, but wants to deliver and heal. Hosea 6:1 says, "Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up." In Paul's case he was not to be made well (or delivered from his persecutions). So Paul said, "Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." But as you said, that was Paul who was a special case. HE had to be kept humble. Do we also need to be kept humble from an abundance of revelations given to us? No. Now Job was afflicted only because the devil got permission to test him. But even there he was restored to health. Here may be where discernment would be involved. But yes, God wants to deliver and heal. God bless.

Is it disrespectful to tell God something worded like: "Wow, God, you did a great job on that blue sky, it's really pretty!" (I mean, he knows he did a good job. He can't do anything other than a good job.)

Hi, Taylor! Thanks for your question. No, that's not disrespectful. It's a form of praise to be thankful for His creation (Psalm 139:14)! God wants relationship with us. He loves to hear what's on your heart. You are free to share! Blessings to you today! - AWMI Team
