Thank You (both) for these incredible visuals. I've been able to become a PowerBI rockstar for my company and have led the data stewardship program because of it - acting as the source of truth with PowerBI reports and dashboards. You've helped me immensely as I'm sure you've helped others.
I've been using the network navigator for a while now to visual Problem and Cause with equipment faults. It is a great way to show a single issue or a problem with many causes.
issue with python and R it is more static visual rather then dynamic visual, however you can further analyze relationship strength etc. Neo4j graph is another route that seems more promising from a dynamic perspective.
Note: Microsoft Graph API is something different than graph database itself which can be processed in SQL Server/Azure SQL Database. See "Graph processing with SQL Server and Azure SQL Database".
This has triggered some ideas for visualisation of our supplier networks ... and presence in other data sources. Thank you. And when I get a chance, the interrelationships between champion barbershop quartets .... members, arrangers ... hmmm
This is great. We have a neo4j graph, so can I just get an extract from this graph and get the same visualized on power BI..Let me know if you need more details to understand my usecase
Hey boss, I am trying to get started in power BI for energy analytics. I have a table build that has all monthly meter readings from 2015 until last month Aug 2021. I have a field that has a monthly average and a daily average for what the months show read. This is for electrical, natural gas, industrial water, Potable water and BTU’s for over 200 buildings. How can I build these graphics to be able to analyze the data and get real time analytics from the oracle DB. I need some big help guy please and thank ya 😎
This is great. Too bad you had to create the "links" column. I was hoping that for Source Node Weight I could somehow use the Count of Apprentice realizing the Master column. But I get that it's per data row thing. While this works, it's too....obnoxious for me to use if I wanted to visualize a server environment or some other tree-style network. Too bad there isn't an option to have a static view. I know there is the Decomposition Tree visual, but that's forced horizontal, and people hate change, so they want it vertically :) Thanks for the great videos and information
Yooo, I had used the microsoft graph, to visualise the tabular model relationships (using DMV's ofcourse) and yes it doesn't have image display.. Looking for October round up too. Thank you 👍
Currently you won't be able to use Python scripts in reports created with Enhanced Metadata (Preview) feature enabled. --> docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-python-scripts + you won't be able to run Python/R scripts against enterprise on-prem data gateway Vote --> ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=fb12bebe-2106-423c-b1a1-24fa7063e4e8
So Yesterday I saw a news item on Newsy, via Huffpost, with his kind of visualization, emailed my boss about it, that would be great, but in the far future... Today Adam, you post a video about it... How did you know, I wonder? Are you in my mind..
The "woooow" effect in this custom visual is over 9000
I’ve been doing a lot of SNA work outside of power BI- to have this inside the platform is awesome! Thanks!

How can I get your spreadsheet to follow along?
I recently used Network Visual in my Market Basket Analysis and it was super useful to pick your locomotive products
Very cool, thanks. I was wondering, how did you make your image urls? what is an easy way to host them for this purpose?

Watching this with the Star Wars data gave me an idea: Creating the world's most obnoxious org chart with this! Could be some fun :)
Thank you so much for this content!
Most welcome! 👊

Ha! I had the same thought when I saw this video title as you did with the member question. So...can PowerBI visualize the Microsoft Graph?
Yooo, I had used the microsoft graph, to visualise the tabular model relationships (using DMV's ofcourse) and yes it doesn't have image display.. Looking for October round up too. Thank you 👍
The title in spanish is wrong, it says "Visualice datos gráficos en Power BI" but it should be "Visualice grafos en Power BI"

👋 Oops, you forgot the Force Directed Graph from Microsoft for Graph data. 🚫+ 💵 = FREE
