Proud of you Michelle! You hustled and made it happen! Working in a hospital is it's own experience...spoken as one that has done so for 16 years. You made the right choice going the path you chose! Less stress and ability to do your profession long term because you aren't burning yourself out...physically and mentally! That's what I love about you both....you are both big time HUSTLERS!! BRAVO!👏👏👏❤️

You are too kind!! You're a real hustler for working in the hospital for 16+ years so you know the hospital life struggle lol. We appreciate all your hard work in the health care industry! I (Denise) am super proud of Michelle too for making this step in her career to out-patient. It's definitely helped our relationship and working on our YT channel much easier with her flexible schedule 😊 We wanted to thank you again for your support on our channel and hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving week! 💕

Thanks so much Denise for your sweet response! I have been binge watching your videos all day and I have to say you two are my FAVORITE COUPLE on RUclips!! Seriously...you both are so mature and level headed...I love that! So wise! Take this from a 53 year old woman who knows life! I am so proud of you both! And one last thing...I always wished I was a Filipina, I am not (1/2 hispanic tho) but I served with Filipinos in the Navy and also currently in the hospital I work at...THE FINEST PEOPLE AROUND...ALL OF THEM! You are awesome Denise!❤

Holy cow what a small world. I’m subscribed to your guys’ reaction channel for avatar and I came across this video looking at Rad Tech videos 😂. It was very cool listening to Michelle’s story. I have been wanting to be a Rad Tech for the past 6 years. For the first 4 years I worked on getting the pre reqs for programs (part time school and work) and for the past 2 years I’ve been trying to get into programs but every program in Northern California seems to be lottery based (haven’t gotten picked) and the few schools that aren’t lottery are crazy expensive. I’m turning 26 this year and for the past year and a half I’ve been working at a hospital as a Radiology Assistant working with the Rads and Techs but I still want to be a tech but now I’m leaning towards going to school through the military since they offer Diagnostic Imaging as a job to go to school for in the military. Still undecided at the moment but if I’m once again not picked for the lottery by the summer I guess I’ll be enlisting haha.

What a small world indeed! 😮 It's so funny that you found this channel! I was on the same path as you, so I totally understand where you're coming from. It took me a good 5 years to get into the program, struggling to get pre-requisites and working to pay the bills. Don't give up hope yet! Fortunately for me, my program was based on grades, so I eventually got in. Lottery system is too much of the unknown. I would try to apply for programs that select based on grades or waitlist. I've heard that the programs aren’t as impacted anymore after Covid so I think you have a better chance. I admire your dedication to working as an assistant and possibly enlisting though ✨🔥 It shows how dedicated you are! Funny enough, I was 26 too when I was in your position. Don't give up! It will be worth it in the end. Radiology offers so many opportunities, and I'm confident that things will turn out well for you if you keep your same drive! Good luck to you!! Thank you for supporting our channel! 😩🫶🏼

Filipino nurse such an oddly specific guess 😂. I agree work-life balance over everything tbh plus it paid better that wasn’t even much of a choice.
Denise could not be happier with the choice you made 😊

Loved it, I am very familiar with her job. With my back problems, I'm going in every 3-4 months to get those injections so I've already gotten to the point where I know all their names lol I can definitely sympathize with Michelle there when it comes to back issues that's for sure, I'm glad she can function and be able to do what she loves to do. I had to give up my career as a cook which I still miss. Love this podcast

Hi Jean, thanks for sharing your personal experiences here with us! So sorry you've had to deal with ongoing back issues :/ Michelle always tells me how much empathy she has for her patients with chronic pain. I didn't know your career as a cook! That's amazing! Michelle and I are huge foodies 😋
