I sweaarrr it's boredering on unhealthy SPOILERS BELOW BEWAREE (down to the manga 100-114 chapter so please if you don't like spoilers move on) 😭.. no like seriously back in the clock keepers arc he slammed aoi against the wall in yashiros body. To me, and I have nothing agaisnt those that ship yashiro and hanako kun, but it seems less of him liking or loving yashiro romantically and more about wanting someone who truly cares for him to be around.. so in a way yes he cares but he 'loves' her as a friend not romantically. He doesn't really understand his feelings so he labells it as love. The same with yashiro. She confesses her 'love' for him when really we know she falls in 'love' easily. She loves him, but not romantically. it's more like she confuses those feelings for romantic love. And let's not forget.. she liked someone for 2 YEARS but that person isn't mentioned.. if the clock keepers can change time at any time.... and people can forget things that have to do witht he supernatural.. the fact that she has not even remembered that person means that they are crucial and have to do with supernaturals.. if mitsuba survived in the recent chapter if the clock keepers did something to stop tsukasa.. he was never meant to die.. And yashiro back when the 'hands' appeared and eventually yashiro was dragged into the mirror by mitsuba's hands.. kou found out that the photographer that yashiro referred to was in fact 'mitsuba souske'. and she asked mitsuba when she 'first' saw him after he dragged her there 'do i know you?'. And since tsukasa wanted mitsuba enough to tear him apart, make him a mystery and abondon him (natshihiko-red hair- killing him with piosouness blood in recent chapters which he would have been able to cancel out had he been a 'proper' mystery- had something precious enough to be used as collateral in a way- sakura mentioned that the reason the most precious thing is chosen as a yorishiro is so that mysteries do not easily 'abondon their duty'- it means mitsuba is not just important- yashiro being the kannagi and being the only one that can remove seals (though I believe sakura used to be a kannagi and aoi is a kannagi by blood) means they are not just sacrifices- they were sacrificed by the minamotos but really they are more precious than that- if there can be traitors in the mysteries abusing their power- then kannagis correct it. Kannagis are connected to someone who is in part supernatural- i believe this because- sumurai and no.6, aoi chan (it is unknown for me who she is 'bound' to but 1 have 3 suspects we will see), sakura and tsukasa..possibly mitsuba and yashiro. clearly things go wrong when the other person mistreats the kannagi (no.6 letting sumari die) or do not take their duties seriously (no.6 was not even present in the 'meeting' they had with hanako and the other mysteries. All this is hard to follow, i know, so I will just simply it as this: mitsuba knew yashiro and he was likely the guy she liked for 2 years, she doesn't remember it - tsukasa can put people to sleep like hanako can so he can probably play with minds as well and anything supernatural will be forgotten by normal people over time , therefore not only does mitsuba and yashiro know each other but not remember (though mitsuba watched his whole life unforld and in the picture perfect arc he seemed to react strangely to yashiro san being close- especially in the scene where he was bound to the chair by kou asking for answers so he may know but he doesn't feel like that's 'him' since he lost a large protion of his soul- everything but his mind- which is still him but not fully but you get the point). yashiro and mitsuba both pose a threat to whatever tsukasa's goal is (or whatever consumed him in child hood-which i presume is gaining power and causing chaos in the world sicne no. 1 kako described it as a ' forgotten god' when really it's a supernatural people treated as god that made its power grow and it's obviously evil for anyone this far in the manga- there's clearly no justfiable reason for tsukasa's actions. ) So yeah.. all to say that mitsuba has more to do with yashiro and her real feelings may be towards mitsuba (she doesn't remember the peson she liked for 2 years) and they have a deep connection that caused tsukasa kun to go so far towards mitsuba to steal his soul- he likely killed him too in some ways considering we see him alive in the new world created.. he was never meant to die.. there are more traitors among the mysteries..like no.1 kako may not be working with tsukasa but he seems very suspicious right now and i suspect aoi chan hassss a lot more to do with this than people think. I can;t wait to see how th manga confirms, corrects, adds, and diverts from my theories. I really love the authors for this level of detail planning and the amazing art that can't fully be translated into the anime (but i appreciate both as they both have their own charms it's simply that the manga is not just the original but contains all the details that hint to the future while the anime has not even gone in chronological order of the events so things simply do not make sense sometimes to anime viewers.) And if you got this far, thank you so mucchh for reading my little interpretation and memories of some of the events of the early chapters- I knwo it was confusing but these are some of my views, some of the events that I base them off, and my interpretation and some minor predictions in the form of what possibly happened in the past.) we'll see and hope you have a great day, whoever you are!
