Omg Joel this made me laugh out loud! I didn't think you were trying to give us click bait this morning, I thought maybe you were going to do something crazy, and later on you did! I enjoyed this just because you obviously are reading our comments lol. You are the GOAT in my opinion!

I would never walk multiple dogs unless the leash is tied around my waste. LOL. Imagine all his dogs bolting and running off at the same time. He'll be sailing away on the road!

I have 5 rescue dogs and a foster! I do this most days! Eventually everyone finds there rythm and it's usually fine BUT you have to work with each dog BEFORE you try this, once each dog is doing well walk a pair, then 3 etc.. nothing like being able to walk all dogs, well behaved (mostly) and walking nicely. Occasionally I'll tell over a lead or get tangled, it's all part of the fun.
    Love your work Joel 👍

I totally agree- I used to walk 3-4 giant breed rescue/fosters and my Large dog at once and we all loved it.
I wouldn't do that with 4 or 5 dogs that weren't decent on leash though, as it doesn't make sense for training purposes. It benefits none involved.
Off leash is entirely different and I wouldn't do that on a public road no matter how well trained they are. It's not worth it & I have nothing to prove 🤷‍♂️

I started with dog walking to get my hands on as many dogs as I could just starting. Walking a pack of dogs for the first time even for a lot of professionals can be over whelming but you did a good job. Same as anything else you’ll get better with bending rules while maintaining structure.

4:30 Large grey dog Connery looked like he was helping you out. He was constantly checking in with you and at the same time keeping the other dogs in check by keeping them to your side; and he seemed to be trying hard to stick to the unnaturally slow (for a dog of his size) walking pace. All I saw from him was intelligence and obedience/respect (eg: 5:22), with a bit of a mind-wander later on.

Gotta be a Weimaraner. Great breed, though in my opinion they should go to hunters only. Their great looks will be their downfall, when people that can't give them a hunting opportunity decide for this breed based on their looks only.

For real though.. I've had 4 dogs for three days, two walks a day covering at least 2 miles at most 3.5. It's a challenge in patience, communication, & leadership. You just showed it in spades. This is why I follow you. This is why you're a great trainer.

I have 2 dogs and I walk both at the same time. Just do the walk stop method if they're pulling. It gets hard when they see another dog, if you hold them to your side resist the pulling and just walk straight past they get used to it.

I used to walk my two huskies together, but I only used one leash and had the dogs connected to each other by a short lead. Worked great, but of course the off-dog couldn't receive a correction. Only worked because both dogs were excellent on loose leash walking.

I rescued a shepherd Rottweiler mix that was not a good leash walker and seemed aggressive . Hired a trainer with 3 well trained dogs. We do 4 dogs on leashes after a few training sessions. He does awesome on our walks with 4 dogs on leashes. It amazing how the other dogs that are well trained have helped him be a excellent leash walker.

  • @WolffLyfe
    @WolffLyfe 3 года назад +2

Ah reminds me of my pet sitting days. I enjoyed walking up to 4 dogs, more than that and it was a pain. And dreaded the day I had to introduce a new dog to the walk pack and they had to learn the ropes. But it was still fun. Most dogs I’d walk solo once before group walking in order to correct any pulling issues first. Nice to see even a pro having some minor issues. This is what I thought your first video was going to be but wasn’t upset, it was still nice to see the process with different personalities of dogs.

I live in a small town in Mexico currently and this is exactly what people do here: walk 5 dogs like this off leash with zero control. It's like a big dog park and I have no choice but to live in it. My dog has been attacked 3 times. My dog is also reactive aggressive but I am training him following your videos so thank you! The game changer was the door 'ok' method.

I’ve always called him my wander boy lol cuz he likes to wander, ever since he was a puppy. The paper on his kennel at the shelter 13 years ago, said he was found wandering down a residential street lol so yep, my wander boy. He was a tiny puppy when I adopted him. Joel, don't get mad at me....... you may not realize the depth of this. Your walking them. There is so much more to this for them. These walks mean more to the dogs than we imagine. Realize, they have no idea what or how to do this group walk, but they want to be guided, take it easy on them, try asking them verbally what you want them to do or physically guide them (you are doing that). The off leash part would be a goal, an understanding.... a beautiful achievment, takes time and practice. All this means so much to them

Had German shepherds before...no leads necessary... stopped and turned in mid air literally if needed....could have a long chats with shepherds (human) walking hundreds of sheep and goats and my dogs (once had 13 of them all with out leash but not all German shepherds) waiting patiently until I decided to continue....I miss those days 💕🙏💕

Try walking 6 small dogs leashed and unfortunately I have to walk them up in front of me because the sidewalks are not wide enough. As a dog walker for over 7 years, I much prefer walking larger dogs to smaller ones and off leash to leashed - have walked 7 off leash but my "comfort zone" is 6 max.
