    I’ve always loved the poolrooms concept and this seems like a beautiful and very creepy realization of that. Def wishlisted!

    i really really love the feeling of poolrooms and have always wanted a poolrooms concept game, just walking around discovering the poolrooms, no monsters chasing, no music, perfect.

      Hey it's completely normal you are not the only one. We have gotten couple of comments that they enjoyed the game and it was relaxing for them. But for some it's intensively scary. It depends.
      We decided to go with this type of marketing, but we could've done it either way.
      Fear of these "liminal spaces" is like any phobia really when you think about it - some people are scared of spiders, some of heights, some of darkness etc. And others are not. We are all different and that's cool😃

    Pool walking simulator?

    • @tensori-ltd
      @tensori-ltd  10 месяцев назад +1

      that's the idea

    • @tensori-ltd
      @tensori-ltd  10 месяцев назад +2

      it's not for the masses, many have said it's quite boring and that's OK. not everyone will like everything. not a conventional game by any means.
      The experience we aim to convey is hard to describe.
      For example if you think about an office or an airport (or in our case swimming hall) late at night, when it's mostly empty and quiet, it can feel very weird, kind of surreal and out-of-place. Or if you have ever had a dream where you are lost in a building that seems endless and cannot find a way out.
      We also aim to enhance this feeling with weird architecture and mild hallucinations later in the game.
      For some this is very emotional and want to experience this as it is. For others, it can be boring or they dislike it for some other reason. Again, it's not for everyone.
      many similar "backrooms" games have taken the conventional route of having some monster chasing you and jumpscares etc. to make it less "boring" but we feel liminal spaces is not about that. We think that there hasn't been a game that fully captures the liminal spaces horror aspect (although couple of good tries exist) -- so we are making one I guess 🙂

    • @makpat
      @makpat 10 месяцев назад

      I get you, I also don't connect with the monster aspect of the Backrooms, and it's cool you are true to your vision and desire, but I do want to ask if there is a goal in the game or is it just to convey that feeling?

    Looks cool, but after a lot of people making similar games and never fully going through with them, I’m a lil’ sceptical.
    I’m really sorry, I truly want to believe this is real, and if it is I’m gonna be suuuper happy, but I need further proof. Maybe if a gameplay trailer drops

    • @tensori-ltd
      @tensori-ltd  8 месяцев назад

      Well, I guess it's a bit like all fears really when you think about it.
      Some people are afraid of spiders, heights, darkness, loneliness etc.
      Some people are not afraid of these. 😃
      Some people find POOLS intensely scary, some find it relaxing. We are all different.

    I feel like this is a dreamcore ripoff, I hope you can add some originality in it to make it more unique

    • @tensori-ltd
      @tensori-ltd  9 месяцев назад

      It is true the game is not 100% based on original concept, we were inspired by the Backrooms creepypasta and more specifically "Level 37" or "poolrooms" in the lore. There have been many videos (and games) about this concept over the years.
      These two games are somewhat similar yes. We like to focus on the exploration and I see dreamcore has entities/monsters and puzzles. We don't like entities/monsters, and we have not planned on having puzzles, rather just an artistic "walking simulator" type of experience with hallucinations and other aspects of insanity portraying the loneliness and psychological horror of liminal spaces. Soon we will release footage from levels 2 & 3 which have more unique art style, 3 in particular.
      We want to make this game because we love the concept and we love making games.
      Our graphics artist started making this as a hobby project - he has background in real-life architecture illustrations etc. and here the architecture is really wild and interesting. Rest of us we love coding and making creepy audio for this. We'll continue making this game regardless if somebody else else releases a somewhat similar game before us.

      For a concept like that something like hunger/thirst that takes hours or even days without having to kill the player in a procedural environment with the saving so the player can take irl breaks then get back to their exploring as this would be realistic. though, making something like this procedural with all that is quite the challenge @@tensori-ltd
