    What amazes me is how Dave's modeling conveys the feeling that it is a much larger model railroad than it actually is -- without looking cramped and over-detailed when taken in from afar. He's a master of efficiently using the available space to tell a story in miniature form.

    What an inspiring spot to be surrounded by, inside and out. Creaky floors are the best. Thank you for the tour.

    Thank you so so much Dave. That means a lot for someone who lives at the bottom off Australia, and will probably never get to come see first hand your amazing work.
    Cheers Benni

    Dave, thank you for giving us a peek at your studio. I really liked the look at Gruesome Gulch in light. I also loved seeing a phaser type 2 on your wall :) thanks again!

    Much better workspace for you!
    And better scenic vista opportunities now with the canyon aisles, couldn’t really pick up the value of that in the first viewing of the plan.

    That was cool. I moved from MD to Tucson to attend UA in 1991 and the summer before I started I did a tour of the west passing through the awesome town of Jerome on my way to ride the mules to the bottom of north rim of Grand Canyon. You are fortunate to live and run your business from this spectacular part of the country. Really enjoy watching your work. Inspiring.

    Would love to have 400 sq feet of room, had a Cabin a few years ago that was 700 feet. So, 400 isn't too bad.

    I've always heard the old adage: One project at a time. However, it's inspiring that you Dave, spit in the eye of that adage! Was the old Calico part of Thunder Masa destined for the garbage dumpster? I'm here watching, Dave!!!

    Hi. I’m completely new to this hobby and looking to buy my first train. Do you think building a layout like yours will end up costing me more than $250? Thanks very much for your thoughts.

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  6 месяцев назад +1

      I'm afraid that a single locomotive like mine can cost over $250. Building a layout like mine takes years of time and investment. I recommend you watch my video on "10 Things You Should Know Before Starting an On30 Railroad" ruclips.net/video/WQJLjs8byZ0/видео.html
