"Real-time Denoiser" sounds so fancy. But it must be just a not to aggressive noise gate? Or perhaps expander, I just learned about it recently and really love it. Easy to set up in OBS! :)
I think it's a combination of a subtle gate and active noise cancellation, based on my testing. It seems to be reducing noise even when I'm talking which tells me it's running some sort of analysis on the audio as it comes in. What's great is there's hardly any latency at all with it on which is super nice :)
Totally fair! I think if you want that, the MV7+ would be the right move. Definitely more expensive though. I think they really worked to keep the price down on this.
Totally fair. I’ve tested the K688 and I didn’t find it to sound as nice for my voice, plus I think the app is a huge selling point, at least for me. I hate having to run a ton of OBS plugins for work calls and such.
Hi awesome video! I just got the mv6, but when i have the same settings as you in the motiv mix (20db manual), my recording and live monitoring sound very very quiet despite being extremely close to the mic speaking into it, and i need to boost it to 29 db just for it to reach -12 dbfs. Is there something wrong with my mic or is there a post gain on this video?
Hmm that’s interesting. I had my gain at 20 on the MV6, which was about 1/3 as loud as it can go and it was pretty close to -12. I did normalize and add some very light compression to hit RUclips’s loudness benchmarks -otherwise they would do it anyways. That was only around 4-5dB.
@@ObscureTech Interesting, I didn't find a difference in the sound. Just the noise reduction. I wonder if the software is doing more to the sound than it says
@ let me rephrase….i don’t like the sound of the mic. I’ve heard videos that used the dark setting with success.. only time I’ve liked it is with processing
Who's rocking a USB mic? 🎙
The quality of this video is insane!! Good work :)
Ayyyy thank you so much!! I really appreciate the kind words
Very cool view. Would be nice if you compare the sound with MV7 Plus via usb connection. Can't decide if it's worth to overpay for the plus version
I’ll do that in my next video! Checking out the MV7+ next :)
@randyrektor cool. Can't wait!
What a cool editing style 👍 niceeee
Thank you so much :)

For $150, it is probably nice! But it would be nice to see USB-C+XLR option instead of only USB-C.

I'd give the edge to the AM8 or K688 at 1/2 the price for ........actually..better sound than this mic. But that's just my 2 cents. :D

Agreed @dracomies

Also tested my old elgato mic which has 15 db gain, which is as loud as my mv6 on max db.

Without processing I hate it lol
What really? Like without the noise reduction?
@ yeah the straight sound of it with no software is very very meh to me

@ObscureTech ahhhhh yes gotcha!!
can i use this on ps5?
Good question! Looks like you can connect USB C mics to PS5 right? Should work 👍
