Lex was loved, but his father ruined him so much that Lex couldn't see just how loved he truly was... Even when he was loved from an alien from another planet with super powers.
Well I guess that wasn't the real issue. I think he saw that. It's more about it that if u grow up like he did it's hard to change. He tried but yeah. It's a hard way on your own

I agree halfways. First, I would never call someone a monster, so neither would I call Lionel that. Lionel and Lex had a really conflicted relationship and he totally was a shitty father. But Lionel changed, he changed for real. He even said to Lex, that he loves him, but it was already too late to that time. If Lionel would've changed earlier, than they could've solving their problems. But too much time passed and with time, pieces get lost of the broken things. So u can't fix it anymore. That was what happened between Lex and Lionel at the end. So yes I agree Lionel (the beginning Lionel) was worse than Lex. And really important is, that even if we understand why people do bad things, it doesn't change that Lex did bad things. Reasons are reasons, but no excuses. =)
@@sessyfan791 lex had alot more valid reasons why he changed to being evil he lost everyone he cares for examples he's mother, Friends, best friend also he's farther never admit he loved him and treated him like shit. linoel had no excuse the way he treated lex honslty and also other people he treated like dirt he did it cause he could and cause had the money and power over most people he even killed he's own parents yet lex gets alot of hate cause he killed he's farther witch honslty Lionel dersved what he got from lex. Even though linoel might got a little better I still never liked he's character in the show and think he was more evil then Lexi ever was.

What actually tells everything how poor his family was. We don't know what his father was like or his mother. Maybe they were cruel too. We don't know that. You become who you are mostly by how you grow up. And Lex manipulated a lot of people too, cuz he learned it. There is for example no excuse for faking Lanas pregenancy, or clone her. Yes he did it, cuz he was afraid of losing her, cuz he knew that this relationship was fragile. The only thing that I want to say is, that Lex and Lionel are similiar. Not completely the same, but similar. Lex had the luck that when he grow up his mother teached him to get conections to his feelings. That it's important to listen to his feelings. That is the huge difference between Lionel and Lex. Lex emotions ever were extremely fragile. And Lionel is a master in controling his feelings and building up a wall around him that nobody can touch him. But nobody is like that from the start. There must be a reason in his past, that he build up this wall. Like Lex build a wall around his heart after his mother died.

Lex is so relatable as a fan of the comics knowing what Lex would later become I still found myself wanting him to remain friends with Clark but hating Superman, like in the 90's New Adventures of Superman
To be honest, I never was a huge fan of Superman. I mean, I don't hate him but he is just so.... idk xD I mean without his superpower he has trouble fighting. And with his superpower he never take care of the people around him, while he is fighting. That's why I actually love it, that BvS pick up that point. And I'm glad for every rare time an animated movie or something else shows, that he goes to another place for his fights, that nobody get harmed.
@@sessyfan791 Superman is too OP, I found Superman boring, but enjoyed the relationship he had with Lois, I prefer Kidder's interpretation of Lois over all that came before or since, no offense to the other stars but Margot was an established star & played Lois in a way none of the others could match. Back to Superman himself in Smallville he has vulnerabilities that's why I prefer this adaption over any of the movies. Injustice the animated movie gets pretty damned dark & goes against everything Superman stood for, that's why I actually liked that adaption too it put Batman & Superman on a collision course, granted the comics adapted the story better than the movie did, but that is always the case. I can't believe the amount of stars from Smallville who are now no longer with us, both Reeves & Kidder themselves
