I am a Newquay kiteboarder and surfer who has recently got back into skateboarding. Glad to find your channel, Watergate Bay and concrete waves are my home spots! - Kiteboarding will always be the biggest rush for me when its 20 + knts SW and good for jumping, but Skateboarding offers perfect conditions any time its dry and the progression you mentioned is very addictive. Hope to see you around.

    LEGEND!!!
The whole time I was watching this I was thinking, no way, we are literally the same person lol.
I am also a windsurfer and kitesurfer and skateboarder (also do wingfoiling which I'd highly recommend. Even saw a few of them out in the background during the video).
But yeah, everything you said about how it's harder to progress with wind water sports because the conditions are always changing is totally true and I think the same thing all the time. That is also kind of why I got into skateboarding similar to you 👌
Love your videos! Huge respect for your talent and dedication to all these different sports (which are all incredibly difficult btw). Keep it up 🔥🔥🔥

Use to kite landboarding at Gwithian. Just hard work getting tide and wind conditions right. Setup and the amount of kit involved is something else. Still have a buggy in the shed so you never know.

Nice, Jon. You made it look fun. I was sailing a Sunfish last week and a woman on the beach remarked to me that the setup/breakdown of sailing looked like a ton of work. I had the same thought about skating vs sailing and even surfing. It’s hard to deny the benefit of convenience in skateboarding, not to mention the lower cost of equipment as compared to most other sports.

Yeah dude, when it’s good conditions it’s ace, but I definitely got to a place where I often thought I’d rather have gone skating 😂

Nice to see you showcasing another skill I’ve not had much of an introduction to kite boarding so this was something a bit different for me to watch

Been kitesurfing for years and recently rediscovered skateboarding (at 45). Mostly kite foil when I’m out now, but agree I skate way more than kite. Learning Wing Foiling now - a lot less setup faff and more places to partake, I would highly recommend it.

Love this! Not much opportunity for kiting in North London apart from the odd trip to Southend. Some great skateparks. Oxhey, Bay, XC but I do miss getting out on the water!

Hi john, I am a double bass player who does a lot of surfskate since 3 years. A new beautiful skatepark was just inaugurated in Brussels.
One year ago I started wing foil and find it great. You have to pump the board and the wing. 10 mn. But the feeling of riding the foil and flying is amazing, even if I can not still jibe on the flight. It's very exciting since the 1st session. I loved it!!!

    Kitesurfing is rather intimidating.
Skateboarding really is a good complimentary boardsport to paddleboarding and/or surfing as it gives the arms a break.

phew glad you included pic of windsurfing there or I would have to unsubscribe 😆. srsly I am windsurfer turned skateboarder.. love skating for all the reasons you suggest... but may have to give up bc I keep getting injuries.
agree there's a lot of faff in watersports, but windsurf forward loop is my best move and always feels pretty damn cool!

Yeah, love the windsurfing, but I’ve been spoilt over the years and struggle to enjoy it unless it’s perfect conditions (which is rare) the skating seems more reliable, but I will venture out on the windsurfer for my yearly blast !

Hey man you should check out the new skatepark in Falmouth. It’s quite small but it’s a fun place for a session:)
