Then the state, who claims to have the evidence to prove these crimes were committed a decade ago, somehow decided it was more important to set their entire case aside and bring in passing drugs as somehow proof of this grand conspiracy. The funniest part? It was a single pill. That’s their drug trafficking ring. A single tablet. Fkn insane. That young female lawyer stood up and destroyed the states entire case and really exposed how incompetent the prosecutors actually are. To think that none of the jurors have watched anything regarding this trial would be very naïve. Of course they would have wanted to know why they all of a sudden didn't have to go to court for weeks when they were scheduled to be there. Even just to recap what has happened during the day in court when they have been there seems very likely because of the way the state is dragging things on and on and on. No one is able to stay focused 100% of the time during those video interviews of Woody as an example.

For a case like this where they know it’s going to take months, they’ve already vetted out the people in jury selection who can’t be out of work that long. They will usually try to get jurors who are either retired or very well off so there’s no conflict of having someone who needs to work to pay their bills being stuck on a trial for months. Also, it’s illegal to fire anyone for doing their duty as a juror, if they got fired because of that, there are serious fines and potential jail time for the employer and a massive lawsuit for the juror who got fired.

For a case like this where they know it’s going to take months, they’ve already vetted out the people in jury selection who can’t be out of work that long. They will usually try to get jurors who are either retired or very well off so there’s no conflict of having someone who needs to work to pay their bills being stuck on a trial for months.
Also, it’s illegal to fire anyone for doing their duty as a juror, if they got fired because of that, there are serious fines and potential jail time for the employer and a massive lawsuit for the juror who got fired.
