As an Iraqi, I watched your all of videos using RUclips subtitling, I really apprreciate the way you introduce my country in a such good way to your people, but you really missed nice things as you couldnt manage to read thiungs in Arabic particularly in najaf & karbala, try to learn the arabic language at least the basic.
Thank you for sharing this. I remember my days as a child in the Indian School Baghdad. Beautiful place and beautiful people. Sad to see the destruction. I remember the Alibaba Square and Al Mansur, the mazgoof fish, Biscolata biscuits, and the beautiful banks of the Tigris river.

West media will only promote the other side of the story, they want scenarios like slum dog millionaire. Generally western perception is that any city that has swanky skyscrapers is modern but it need not necessarily be. If we just have to judge a country based on homeless people ,unemployed, poor and impoverished areas, then America has what is called as Skid Row, a neighborhood in Downtown Los Angeles, whose inhabitants are mostly poor people.
Just google Skid Row you will see what it is.

Souk means bazar and it is pronounced as sook not sok. Second one is funduq for hotel . It is pronounced as fundaq not fundooq. I happen to know this because I'm living in Kuwait and Alhamdulillah have learnt Arabic, mostly all dialects in my 4 decades of stay here . It's not to embarrass anyone, just for information sake . I think most of the Iraqis work in police department or army , that's why you find them everywhere . I passed through Baghdad , stayed for one night in a hotel with my family after Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990 . We were heading for the Turkish border via Iraq. Masha Allah, very good effort .

It's really sad what happened with this city because of wars and sanctions. It was once the greatest city of the world with the oldest universities, gardens and libraries. It was the biggest city and centre of knowledge until it was destroyed by Mongols under halaku khan more than 800 years ago and now they are suffering again. Hopefully things will improve insha'Allah

There are many places which still bear the scars of the battles which have taken place in the recent past but it is definitely improving. We didn't used to see any tourist in our country for about 50 years because of saddam and his wars , so yes people here in iraq just wondering where is he from , we will be used to this very soon.
