Last time I was in San Diego on Coronado beach right by the hotel there, an ATV pulled up. Couple of guys got out started telling public to leave the area then they put up a tape barrier across the beach. Then out of nowhere three rafts appeared with a bunch of instructors harassing them. Not sure if they were seals in hell week or SWCC but man they were being put through some stuff. San Diego is my all time favourite destination because of all Navy stuff that’s around.
Once when I was doing time one of these guys had retired and was a corrections officer. One of the coolest guys I ever met, he would pull me out and we talked endlessly about his service. Everybody thought I was switching but we were just having a grand Ole time.
Former Blackhawk gunner here🙋🏾♂️: all I’m gonna say is know what you’re signing up for. It’s all fun and games until the enemy starts shooting back at you and you have no where to run or take cover. Helicopters, like boats, are noisy and leave you highly exposed. You’ll typically outgun the enemy but in any event::: it’s fuckin terrifying and humbling.
I miss the old Mk.V Special Operations Craft! They where rough riding, even with the shock absorbers on the seats and rubber mats on the deck, but they where beasts!! Love them a lot and would love to own one even though I'd need a Rig to haul it! The Special Operations Craft-Riverine ( SOC-R ) is my other favorite and I'm glad Special Boat Team-22 down at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi still use them! I'd love to own one of those too! Hooyah SWCCs all of the SBs out there!! 🇺🇸⚓️🌊♠️💀
SWCC are great SO's, I joined the Navy to become a SEAL going to go through BUD's prep during the fall and then if they pass me, I'll go to BUD's beginning of February in Coronado. Met some SWCC guys and they really support the seal teams when needed
This is like JTAC for the AF. People hear about this stuff but aren’t entirely sure of it. These are the kinds of videos to get people interested in SOCOM and join up. The run of the mill Be All You Can Be or Army of One commercials when I joined up don’t cut it these days. (Shit I’d have looked into the Navy if I’d known about this stuff when I joined in ‘06)

SEAL's probably have the best job in the navy (when it comes to what you get out of it) If you think about it, SEALs have a more well known reputation You will have an easier time being recruited as an ex-tier one member into say CIA SAD/SAC
Had I known this was an option at age 17 I may have gone Navy. I enjoyed my Army career and was able to do many exciting things but we didn't mess with water. I'm sure I would have smiled everyday on that craft.

70% of today's "youth" could not even pass the physical to get in because they are so overweight and out of shape. Plus it involves physical work and almost no one wants to do that anymore.
All I can say it's pretty BAD when myself at 67 years of age is in better shape then members of the military. How do I know this? I spent 2 months this year working with the Army and Air Force and was SHOCKED when I saw how overweight many members were. Some were active, some reserves. What really made it WORSE is seeing high ranking officers above the rank of Captain being 20 lbs or more overweight.
As I recall, she completed BUD/S. But she still isnt a SEAL until a team accepts her. Just like the females a few years back that passed SFAS, they arent Rangers, Green Berets, etc until they are selected by a unit.

The US has 11 super carriers and 9 light carriers which can hold over 1000 aircraft. US aircraft is much better, and most wont argue. Russia has 13 destroyers, China has 32. Combined that is 45. The US has 67 destroyers. Russia has 7 cruisers, China has 0 cruisers. Russia has 59 submarines, with only 12 being nuclear powered. China has around 50-60 diesel-electric submarines and 6 nuclear attack submarines. So over 100 diesel-electric submarines, which can't go out into blue water, and 18 nuclear submarines. The US has 66 nuclear powered submarines. It's easy to see who would win, this is why Russia said any missile coming their way from the US will be perceived as nuclear and will warrant a nuclear retaliation. Now...Make them all "EMT's". I was old-school CSAR. Didn't get wings until....NACCS/RSS/FRAC/Swimmer qual/2nd crew Qual/P.C. Qual and C.C. (1st crew) Qual. C.C.'s had to get and maintain all "mission" quals as well (10+?). Was told I was the last of that breed. I wanted EMT qual as well but was denied. I got my wings from C.O. after the change and was standing in ranks when 10 new crewmen got theirs (only did NACCS/RSS/FRAC!) P.s, I was asked if I wanted my wings by "new or old" standard?...I think you know that answer :) AND!!! like others in the past...We had to be "rated" first and maintain that rating. Took me 3 1/2 years to get there, but I did. I think they may have changed all that now, better?...maybe :( :)

Badass group of guys and not to discredit them but don’t get this mistaken with seals they are extremely different these guys are in a support role for seals they are not on the same level as someone who has been around both groups they are equally very good at what they do
The training is 23 weeks and used to be longer. They don't attend the same training as seals nor train alongside them. That comes from the Navy's own website.

Depending on how old you are it's never too late to join or join the reserve most all the branches will let you enter basic at 40yrs old.

When I was in the Navy as an ABE guys from my division went EOD , SWCC and SEAL because they were easier than ABE.
Need to deploy these teams on our southern boarder.

Badass group of guys and not to discredit them but don’t get this mistaken with seals they are extremely different these guys are in a support role for seals they are not on the same level as someone who has been around both groups they are equally very good at what they do

How do most people first find out about SWCC though?
The training is 23 weeks and used to be longer. They don't attend the same training as seals nor train alongside them. That comes from the Navy's own website.
I remember putting similar boats on C-5s back in the day.
When they were young they asked God, "God, should I do this with my life?"
