Just a thought. I heard the fan running and you switched the hob off at the mains. Will the fan switch itself off automatically when cooled down. I switched a microwave off before fan finished once and it broke so I always wait now.

They always continue to run the fan for a short while after, to cool down.

Hi thanks for this. I now wait for the fan to automatically switch off before powering off at the socket.

I have had an 4 x burner electric hob for the past four years. I came from a house with gas - and i hated the lack of control with the electric. Went to Ikea and bought a single / portable induction hob and havent looked back. The level of control you have is incredible. First time i have ever been able to achieve a true simmer. That is coming from working in commercial kitchens as well. I would rather use the single induction than be able to cook 4 pans at a time with the electric / halogen. Amazed to find that 95% of my current (relatively old) pans were compatible as well. Considering a two or four burner next. Honestly life changing in terms of what i can cook, and how well i can cook it.

I would turn that done as your burning the frying pan. 😍

I used to work with them hubs in a restaurant years ago, they're great. Dont worry about the pads though, induction keeps the heat in the pan rather the hub, its what makes them safe. Much love

their fantastic clare but be careful of the temperatures. i couldnt believe how ferocious the heat was first time i used one myself and i ended up scrubbing my new pan for a lot longer than i should have

Very nice must be lovely cooking on that after using your solid plate one as they take forever to heat up.

Thanks for the demo Clare. I've never seen an induction hob in action. At my great age I think that speed would run away with me! 😅 🎉

I mean it’s way too hot it’s burnet the pan, there is no difference between a decent oven and his or an air fryer just another gimmick
