    Good Stuff. Just need to clarify...If the infield fly is caught and the runner is off the bag and the throw beats him back to the bag with no tag, the runner is out because this is a timing play not a force play, correct or incorrect?

      It's an Appeal play, not a time play. if there's now 2 outs and a run is also scoring at the same time, then it may also be a time (not timing) play, but the play on the runner an appeal play.

    Batter is out regardless. Runners treat it just like any other fly ball. If caught, they must tag.
