- Unfortunately, I couldn't get the thing where you eat a pearl and it's read to you to work, and passages don't go to LTTM, so for my own sanity I only had her read a few pearls. Apparently much of the dialogue is very similar to vanilla anyway. Probably for the better, this video's already almost an hour long.
There's some missing punctuation and a few funny mistakes and duplicate dialogues which will be fixed later on. Also there's some fundamental things I don't like about the lore but those can't really be fixed because they're so at-the-root of the mod, so no point in bashing it.
Pebbles are moon were very mean to me. ): They would consistently bump into me and then start yelling at ME, as if I were the nuisance!

I think it had to do with FP eventually taking up too much water once he gets the message pearl

Why do I now want to see fanart of Sliver of Straw tightly hugging a Slugcat while it try’s frantically to escape their grasp?
Moon also explains how the flashfruit works. Moon goes into detail about the bombs, stating that the ancients destroyed all explosive powder and knowledge of how to make it to prevent "war" (she says she doesn't know what war is), and she expresses amazement at how scavengers have developed enough scientific knowledge to produce the powder. There's probably a lot more, but I haven't tried.
Wait a minute. At 10:52 there's names called "Nine Snails, Unhurried Turtle" and "Round Apple Abreast Bread"

it's funny that this slugcat is quite literally a fabricated messaging pigeon, that being said it would be 100x more efficient and would have much less chance to die if it could actually fly
did you forget about flying worms, mask birbs and planetary bombardment rain? better to keep to the ground, harder to be spotted and you can crawl in many hiding spots.

@@patrykzajdel5077 but you could go higher than that, it is proven there’s points above the clouds immune to being bombarded with rain so just set up a few shelters up there and the sleggo with wings gets to be effective
Flying is faster though. Could get between iterators in maybe a cycle or two instead of hundreds!
It'd be 10000000x more efficient if it was an overseer that can pick things up

The fact that iterators, nearly godlike beings, in this mod are chatting between each other like 14 yo school girls seems kinda cringy to me
I will say their dialogue felt unnatural.
@@turtletoad7725 i found it kind of fitting. they are people after all, and they also seem to view eachother as such. atleast from what we can gather from moon's dialogue in the basegame, who herself is also to be pretty personlike. reminded me a lot of 17776.
There's a difference between having a unique, hunanlike personality and having a unique, humanlike personality that is out of character.
@@turtletoad7725 i thought this was about sliver of straw? she really wasn't ever depicted so we don't really know what she was like. i think the uwuspeak is a little excessive though
Biggest thing i didn't like about it is that 5p, described in game as selfish, a thing which doesn't hesitate to kill you if you don't leave in time, is just casually taking it's time and chatting for a hour straight. Kind of kills the entire atmosphere

Good stuff though, gives them more personality. It's really cool seeing pebbles calling the slugcat a "little archeologist"
Five pebbles is much younger here and isn't completely hopeless thus he is more affectionate, moon is still powerfull and is the more serious of the 2 because she is the older one.
Sliver of straws is a furry. Only furrys use the word "pawises"

Yknow somehow a tiny slugcat bringing thumbdrives to godlike office workers managed to keep my attention for an hour

We all sleeping on how sad it is at 17:25. Pebbles forced communication with SOS and possibly fucked up her ascension and he feels super guilty about it. Pebbles is guilt bro. It's so sad because he always acts so irrationally then afterwards, becomes captain hindsight and never learns. I feel bad, but also he deserves it but I still feel bad tho.

I really like this mod! It seems very elaborate with lore, and bursting with content. Especially the fact that Moon is still in her prime. I'm going to try this mod out once I'll finish the mainline game.
The creators of Rain World should consider adding The Drought to the game official like they did with Downpour and make it so that if you bring the pearl to Moon instead of Pebbles it creates a new timeline where Moon never collapsed and Pebbles doesn’t have the rot (though Pebbles could have found another way to try and circumvent the taboo thus the timeline still goes as normal but still The Drought has some cool things that would be really good in the official game like the Dragon Dogs)
What was the trigger to get different dreams? After I met moon I only got about 3, and the 3rd kept looping till I ascended

there's some... funny characterization here, even recalling what we knew before downpour, but i do like the idea that pebbles is a lot more amicable and nice before he rots out
I like the idea that they maintain the number of vultures with these masks but they may get extinct if a certain slugcat... were collecting the masks

I think the only thing i dislike about this mod is the dialogues. Theorys are fine, but i just dont like how this mod tries to make an answer for quite literally everything, like squidcada and etc. Maybe this is different now, but i think its just worth pointing out. It definitely lost its faith of rain worlds 'mystery' by going full blown with calling slugcats 'purposed'
Is there anything of note in Moon's pearls?
I tried taking one to pebbles, but they somehow turn to neurons after a cycle so... I assume problems happen if one manages to reach him.
I heard in the new rain world update there will be new cutscenes and it gets ported to Xbox? is this true or am I misinformed
