      The story of Kazuma touched me as it reminded me of personal events in my own life. I almost didn't upload this cover at all, as it was before TGAAC released and the video did not get many views for quite a long time, but I am very glad I did now. His story - and his theme - are worth sharing! :)

      I understand! Kazuma's character and tale was marvelous, it really was! I fell in love immediately as it just flattens you with so many emotion-filled moments... when listening to this cover for the first time -- I absolutely adored it and couldn't help but recollect a few memories myself. Thank you!

    "Every time this song fills my ears, I remember why I'm here. I remember my mission... The only reason I'm even in this country is to fulfill your dream, Kazuma. Everytime my fingers drift across the piano I remember the faith you had in me... and the faith I have in every client of mine in turn. You were the first one to believe in me. And I'll make sure no one believes in you as much as I do..."
    (idk why I did that but,, this song just makes me feel stuff

    For some reason your arrangement made it sound similar to Aphex Twin's "Avril 14" in my head. And it just adds more layers of melancholy because "Avril 14" reminds me of a friend I've lost, and "Nocturne" is the theme of a man lost and missed by Ryunosuke.
    Thank you very much. I subscribed.

    • @DanielWelchMusic

      In doing this arrangement, I had a friend in mind as well who is no longer in my life and shared one or two parallels with Asougi’s story. I am always glad when music touches people deeply and it’s the greatest honour for any musician to have that impact.

      @DanielWelchMusic  2 года назад +15

      Thank you! Unfortunately I played and arranged this by ear so I have no written references anywhere.
      All I can really tell you is that the right hand follows the clearly outlined melody in the original Nocturne version and the left plays broken chords. The progression is too long to write down over YT but the song revolves around a G(maj7) A Bm progression - in this video I improvise some add9s into a few of the chords as well but that’s the core of it.

    • @DanielWelchMusic
      @DanielWelchMusic  10 месяцев назад +1

      Unfortunately I did this all by ear, so I have no transcription. But it’s a very simple arpeggio in left hand, same pattern for most of the song, and the melody is along a pentatonic scale, so it shouldn’t be too hard to pick up.

    • @phoenixblueknight

      Afraid not - as I mentioned in another comment, I arranged this by ear. It follows the same harmony and progression as the original track, so you should be able to use any Nocturne sheet music for a similar result.
