you are right. however, today all those who are from the original Israelite people identify as 'Jews' from Judah, because the northern kingdom of the 10 tribes was expelled before the destruction of the first temple. So those who descend today as Jews are from the kingdom of Judah, which includes Judah, Benjamin and Levi (some say also Shimon). So we refer to ourselves and our ancestors as Jews.
