  • Silk Plaster is a liquid wallpaper that doesn't require matching prints at the seams like traditional wallpaper. It's made up of a combination of cotton fibers, decorative mineral additives, and adhesive glue. To apply the wallpaper, add water to the dry mixture, then spread it onto the walls or ceilings using a trowel. The wallpaper comes in over 100 colors and can be easily patched for repairs.

It's a common thing in my country and it's completely safe. We've also applied it in our home, tho only in bedrooms. And let me tell you I've been in my bedroom more than ten years and nothing has happened to me and my lungs are fine. There are many good things about it.
It acts as both acoustic and wetherizer and also you can hammer as much as nails as you want and no one can see them or the wholes if you decide to pull them out. Though like any other paint or wallpaper, through time it starts to get dirty and the colors fades a bit.
Though again it depends on the area you live in (Air polution and all). The first layer I used on my walls, took exactly 9 years to get dirty. It was a very light color so I think it was natural. The second layer I applied on it (it was exactly last summer) is a darker shade. A light shade of lilak but still darker than the last one. I've also put lots of transparent mika flakes, wich made it beautifully sparkly! Though I'm not sure how it will act in humid climates. I live in a dry climate myself.
    Hope it was helpful :)
