  • Amarillo was born when the Fort Worth & Denver and Santa Fe Railroads crossed paths in the Texas Panhandle. Even though the Fort Worth & Denver and Santa Fe Railroads no longer exist, Amarillo is still and large hub of railroad activity for the Union Pacific and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroads.
Some of the footage in this video from the personal collection of Sam D. Teague, has never been seen before, such as, interior of the Santa Fe Building, interior of the roundhouse and the original Fort Worth & Denver Roundhouse exterior.
