Yes we do maybe once Godsmack is done touring we can get that. That would be amazing to have seen that! I'm not a huge Pantera fan but I loved Power Metal and CFH. I don't like the idea of touring as Pantera without the Abbotts.
Dude. I'm from Newfoundland in Canada and I fuggin' love the Wrathchild America albums. These guys made albums 30 years ago that people (like me) still have on regular rotation. 🤘🖤🤘
Good taste in music always lives on despite the constant shit the public pushes down our throats all over the world it lives! It's just in North America it's more taboo metal and hard rock now which is bullshit but certain parts of Europe it's the opposite! Horns up! 🤘
I f'n love these guys back in the day. Saw them in '91 at the old Rock n' Roll Heaven on Bloor St. in Toronto not long before it closed. What a f'n show! These guys were elite talents, and as a drummer, Shannon was a huge inspiration. Saw them again a yr or so later as 'Souls at Zero' at the old Edgewater Hotel. Hardly anyone there and we wound up partying with the guys until the place closed. I thought they'd go on to bigger things but bad timing I guess. Great memories, great bunch of guys.
That is awesome you got to see them and hangout with them! I don't know if they toured where I live maybe as souls at zero but wasn't into that sound growing up so probably wouldn't have known anyway haha. I think it was a matter of promoting and timing they came out in the hair metal era but had a mix of everything thrash progressive tradional metal so probably didn't know what to push them as. Shannon is definitely a helluva talent one of the best!
Yup from that area. That's awesome! Back a few years ago when they thought about reforming they were gonna do it at the new Hammerjacks. I guess it finally opened? Back at my last M3 in like 2017 they were planning on opening then.
When I lived in West Virginia I always thought they were from West Virginia because everybody talked about them at the time and also remember seeing their videos on MTV so I just absolutely adore the first two albums now I live in Maryland and you could line up 10 people along the wall and be hard-pressed for one of them to even know this band which is unreal to me. Seen them at Shiley Acres In Bunker Hill great show at the old pig farm
Not far away just over the border so close enough like me right by WV and I hate the location haha. Yeah well most people today couldn't name metal bands outside Metallica and Iron Maiden hell many probably wouldn't even know Black Sabbath or Judas Priest anymore. It's sad. I never did get to see them, but maybe they'll do something since Godsmack is done pretty much. We can hope!
Yeah a whole bunch of great styles in one thrash tradional power metal even bluesy metal. Such a tight band. Fingers crossed since apparently Godsmack is done making music we can get a reunion!
Great band, I saw the twice live. The first time they opened for Testament Nov of 89 and the second time was April of 1990. I was way into Climbing the walls when it came out. Still a great record and their best in my eyes. Shannon Larkin was and is an amazing drummer even in his teens you could tell he was a great. Unknown fact, Wrathchild America opened for Metallica on the And Justice For All tour on their only club date at the Stone Balloon in Newark, DE.
Wow that is a fun fact back when Metallica was actually good haha. I'm not a huge fan of them tbh maybe 3 or 4 albums but that would have been a hell of a show. To think if Sully hadn't called him after UKJ broke up the first time he wanted to be a hairdresser haha. I'm not a Godsmack fan but I think he made the right choice there. I wish I could have seen them. I doubt we ever get a reunion.
@ShedFan1 it's really good and that's saying something as I don't like PF at all lol and usually prefer originals but this is one I like the cover more.
They were the New Years eve band at the local nightclub I worked at, I worked for the house band that used to open for them, Great Guys, Brilliant Musicians, They are by far my favorite band
That's awesome! Which bad was that you worked for? They're really talented I thought maybe with Godsmack releasing their final (supposedly) album we may get a reunion. They're coming here and going on a big tour. Hopefully one of these days. 🤞
@@retro_wanderluster9962 yes, Sparks though a shot glass, self produced they went out to La, was told to come back with a video and demo, they went back out with a video and full album

They were so good I think a victim of bad timing they didn't really fit in any particular style. The weren't hair metal and thrash at parts and thrash was dying at the time too. I think that's a major reason.
I remember that band we opened up for them in Austin tx at the backroom good band. One of our bands tunes is on my channel you’re welcome to check out the return band. Thanks for the video.
I'll give it a listen. That's awesome. I wish I were talented enough to play in a band but my location is a major issue as well. No problem thanks for watching.
This was excellent man! Gotta say this is one that I missed. I am familiar with Larkin, but not so much the others. I went over to apple music right after I watched this to check them out. Love it! Another I have now on my perpetual want list. Fuck! Lol! Great stuff man. Thanks for sharing this lost (or unknown to me anyway) gem. I wasn't buying much of anything in the early 90's and when I did it was usually a joint venture with my wife...something we could both enjoy to some degree. Which translated means, a lot of compromising. Lol! Cheers Cody my friend! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘
Thanks and you're welcome! Always glad to share music knowledge to others especially bands that never got their due. Yeah having to Compton I don't think most women would be into this sound haha 😅. I think I may do another underrepresented band video soon or two. Cheers Mark!
@@retro_wanderluster9962 I consider myself pretty lucky as my wife loves Anthrax, Megadeth, Sabbath, Metallica (older Metallica anyway lol) so I knew she was a keeper from the first peeper! 😉 Peace bud! ✌️🤘🎶🤘
Loved this band! That album came out the year I graduated highschool. Soo glad I was there for it! There weren't a lot of unique metal bands out at that time & I really thought they would of been around for a while. How disappointing it was when they just disappeared. 😢 Maybe if Metallica hadn't sold out on the Black album & kept Metal alive they would of had a chance to survive.
They def were Mega talented and unique they did all sorts of styles progressive power metal thrash tradional metal. Metallica to me is overrated so many better bands than them but respect their impact. I agree when they cut their hair and said metal was dead it was the end. Just saw this. Sometimes it doesn't ever notify me.
Criminally underrated and one of the best live metal bands ever. Their guitar duo could have rivaled the best. Larkin is one of the best metal drummers ever. Brad Divens was a killer front man. Still hoping they'll get back together for a new record. Not sure why you don't like the first Souls At Zero....it was a natural followup to 3d....
@CyclopsMetal so very talented I know Divens got into production but what are their guitarists doing now? It was too I dunno alt or grungy for my taste couple songs weren't bad on it.
I bet those were awesome I saw testament 2 times love them. Pantera only a couple albums or so but that would be around the right time to see them also!
I can't understand why they didn't make it big. I think it was timing not hair metal and not grunge a mix of lots of stuff a few years earlier they would have been I think.
Killer band. Used to catch them live in NC back in the day. Opened for Pantera on Cowboys tour. We need the reunion!
