Finally, finally, FINALLY...saw Madness live for the first time ever in Los Angeles last night! It was October 1981. A classmate in my radio communications class at Pasadena City College let me borrow her "One Step Beyond" album because I asked her a couple days before, "Who's Madness?" My life was changed with the first "Hey you!" The gods were truly smiling down at me. I was here and got a recommendation for "It Must Be Love" from New Year's 2018. I watched it, scrolled down to comment, saw the Upcoming Shows section. It took a second to register. "Wait...that's tomorrow night." I clicked the ticket link...not sold out. As a matter of fact, two tickets together, front row center, Club level at the RUclips Theatre. Zoom with the girlfriend, share the news. She says, "I really want to go." Purchase. Find out later Berlin and the Untouchables are the opening artists. A night I will never forget...didn't want it to end.
Saw them last night and it was one of the greatest concert experiences, possibly the best I have ever had! Music that makes everyone lose their inhibitions and dance! It was just joyous!
