i love how excited you are! new snails is the best feeling! just a little tip, i would recommend getting him a little mate as i have found all my snails have been happier with a companion as they are very sociable. look at it this way when you find them in the wild they will all sleep together in cluster. also you might get a bit disappointed by the size your fulica will grow to. they don't grow well as other snails as they have really bad genetics. this i because they are the most comin giant snail. they have been bread really badly as they are commonly found in nurseries and starter pets for kids. that unfortunately dont get the best care so they are a week species of snail. non the less you will love your fulica just as much as your immaculatas.
if you are looking for a snail that will grow really large with good shells and live a good long life i recommend gettting a couple of reticulatas. they are amazing and have very similar living conditions to your immaculatas. i have had my fulica a year now and i got my immacs and retics in january. they immacs and retics are nearly the same size as my fulics now and there shells are much stronger.
i currently have a little batch of baby fulica the size of yours now! they are so cute!

I've got one tiny fulica albino too but she was so lonely and keep hidden all the time. Since I bring his brother with her, she is doing better now. So I guess all depends of their personalities? 🤔😁

Yeah just a quick bit of info for you, the archachatina group are the largest overall, the largest snail species is achatina achatina, otherwise known as tiger snails due to their stripes, achatina fulica are medium sized most normally, also just from the looks of the packaging you got the little guy off the same person I got my retics off 😀 so I'm sure he will grow big and healthy as mine are all doing great, hope you enjoy your lil guy, snails are so fascinating to me!

no, they are constantly male and female. Giant african land snails are hermaphrodites, being both male and female at once.
They’re hermaphrodites! So they’re always both genders, they have both reproductive systems! They’re such amazing creatures.

No question is a stupid one. They do bite, it’s called rasping but it doesn’t hurt and it’s because they’re hungry so you just put them near some food 😁😁
I heard that african snails have a parasite and are illegal in U.S.A.
Is it true?
Not all African snails have parasites but they are illegal to have as a pet in the U.S.A. I live in the UK

They’re illegal depending on where they’re shipped from and to- where do you live? My process was fully legal to the UK

Hiya don’t panic too much, just make sure you order the heat mat and setup straight away. Even pay for next day delivery just to be safe as being prepared is so important ☺️

@@Taylorrrswift22 yes it doesn’t matter if they’re albino or not, it depends on the sun species and if you live in the UK, they all need heat matts and a proper set up.

what ? That’s albino Jadatzi should be Achatina Fulicia if Lissachatina Fulicia it is Jade It’s a brown shell and albino skin should research before u talk
