The last story is not the jerk, because if the superintendent have done his job none of this would have happened, the stink would still be bad, but better that what we have in the story, everything go back to the superintendent.

Story 1: Yeah, that neighbor was practically begging for trouble.
1st story. Few years back, across the street kids set my yard on fire with girewot. Came and asked if I had a hose. I did not. I called the fire department and got the fire put out by the time they got there. They hosed my yard just in case and the kids lied to them about how it started. They moved about a year later and I t call call the polit now if firewy( which are illegal in town) are set off by my house. Burned just a small corner but still
in the second story when I heard they were taking all 3 of the dresses I lost it
I don't like violence either that's probably why I've always got victimized because I prefer to run from a confrontation rather than confronted head-on

I disagree with the narrator, the OP wasn't a jerk. Being a jerk is a decision, like trying to do something that's incredibly wrong or being such an ass hole just because. OP was just trying to get justice and get back at the jerk and accidentally caused more of a problem he didn't intend on. So not a jerk in my opinion

For the last story: OP isn't the jerk. He just made a jerk lose everything. If the contractor wasnt such a jerk, the business would be in operation afterwards, people wouldn't have been let go, the school wouldn't have smelled so awful for so long, and no one would've had to smell that awful scent.

Innocent people lost their jobs because of this prank. He is the jerk. There were others ways they could have gotten back at the superintendent without having collateral damage, getting many people sick from the smell. That can also be considered property damage since the smell seeped into anything it could.
This one is easy a no-brainer you are not the jerk here there's no way a fence cost $10,000 I did my fence and it cost a little over maybe to $300 to do with myself
